That sounds a lot like Their Own Feelings, but I don't think there's a bath scene.

Thinking about it, I Can't Be Honest...With My Feelings For You qualifies too. It has the childhood kissing, the embarrassment and the bath scene, although the mothers being friends is implied but not mentioned outright.
