As with many other tags, so people know it's there if they wish to avoid seeing it.
or the opposite of that. I have to imagine for example on AO3 the "dead dove" tag with its slew of associated tags serve as both a warning of "don't like don't read" and the informative invitation of "do like do read", just for different readers.
but I'm just being pedantic here lol I don't doubt at all that this particular tag is overwhelmingly just a blacklist suggestion to most people.
