Hah, and I just got finished re-reading the original series just the other day. Pity Alicia ends up straight in that, it kinda kills off the Akira/Alicia dynamic.
Thinking of it, I could totally see Athena being a lesbian, and you never know how Alice will turn out. Akari...maybe pansexual once she matures a bit? She seems to be the type to accept whatever comes to her and not judge. Akira's a big ol' dyke, of course. XD
