im like 99% sure the context for it is mizuki throwing up from stress or anxiety over holding onto their secret of being transfem to their friends and suddenly hallucinating ena behind them being, im guessing, patronizing?

I agree that most likely SEGA tries to describe Mizuki as a closeted (or how should I describe that... passing? passed?) transfem, but maybe before that becomes the canon we should not assume their gender? There's still a possibility (albeit a slim one) of Mizuki actually being non-binary (as in: not binary).

Reading after Oct 12 hit different

Late, but trans fem and non-binary aren't exclusive and many non-binary people are trans fem. I don't play and just look at yuri art of ena and mizuki, but usually when they pull this "non-binary" card it's almost always about a trans fem.
