Translating 陰キャ and 陽キャ as introvert/extrovert works fine.

Could also be "Gloomy" vs "Sunny".

But it's not "shy" (in the mind of Japanese speakers anyway).

I think they meant that the manga itself (not the translation) conflates shyness with introversion. But I also agree that it's still cute :)
