Is Aya and or Tengu in general wearing ipponba getta cannon? I mean its kinda silly- their one use is to avoid the churned up muddy unpaved streets you used to get in villages way back when in Japan right? Otherwise they are really not practical- and that usage is just not gonna apply to tengu.. They probably dont all live packed in a village to the extent they have churned up deep muddy streets all the time - and they can fly.

yes, she and Hatate wear them in official works. It's probably even harder to walk since they live on youkai mountain, but I'd assume they wear them for more aesthetic reasons than practical. Can't say I ever gave it that much thought to be honest.

They fly a lot as tengu, so it probably doesn't matter that much. Plus, Aya has alternate costume for wandering around in the Human village.
