Been wondering how to do this for a while... is there a way to contact the mods directly to report anonymously? I’m on a mobile phone so not sure if it’s possible on a desktop.

We don't have an anonymous system, but you can contact mods privately on the Discord (check the stickied messages here) or the IRC.
