Why do I keep hurting myself with this manga?

I have not found this particular arc as stressful as others have found it, but I am quite glad it's over. It would be nice if we could go back to the diabetes-inducing WAFF of the earlier series, but I fear that "We've never fought" line is straight-up foreshadowing.

It may be. At this point, they kind of need to have a fight because this whole arc seems to show that she takes her relationship with Yamada for granted. She was so wrapped up in herself that she cost her girlfriend the apartment that she wanted. At this point, she kind of needs something to snap her out of this and make her realize that she needs to take Yamada's feelings into consideration alongside her own and that she can't just do as she pleases anymore.

Look it's not like I'm trying to be the bad guy here, but she just told this girl, who is supposedly her best friend and who she has been living with for a year, that she had a girlfriend this whole time and she never said a word because she was scared she would treat her like a creep. That's just mean.

I mean, that's a pretty reasonable (and common) fear for someone in the LGBT community, that someone that thought they could trust would do a complete 180° on them and become actively hostile. Forget friends, it's even happened in family. I have cousins who are LGBT, and I have relatives who suddenly shifted to looking down on them when they stopped hiding themselves.

Kase has done a LOT of stupid things this arc - a LOT- but for Kase to be worried about losing someone she considers a friend over something that still continues to be divisive for the intolerant? Not just losing them, but risking them possibly becoming actively hostile? Nah, THAT is reasonable. And real.

Honestly, I'm not sure what's with all the negative comments about the last chapter. I mean, I'll admit that this arc annoyed me as well and I'm not going to defend it; but I think y'all are going a little overboard.

My prediction: bitch is gonna find out that her daughter is staying with her teacher and will attsmpt to get Mashiro fired and possibly arrested for having an illicit relationship with a student, even if they haven't done anything by then.

This hurts. I really enjoy the mix of "Oh shit a new chapter is out, I'm going to feel sad" and "This is such a good manga" when I see the upload.

That's exactly how I feel about this. I'm torn between "What happens next?" and "Please stop breaking my heart."

Man, I still don't know how I feel about this series. Half the time, I want to drop it. The other half, I'm actually somewhat invested.

That was...not a bad ending, exactly, but I am left highly unsatisfied with it.

I love that even their VAs ship them. They really are just such a wonderful couple.

I'm actually surprisingly invested in this.

Hey guys, just so you know, I was interested in this series a couple months ago and bought the raws up to volume 2 (volume 3 just released) and if you're annoyed by Hiroko's complete inability to understand the words "I'm in love with you," I suggest you either drop this now or wait for all the chapters to release so you can read it all in one shot, because it just gets so, so much worse.

Now I'm fascinated. I'm having a hard time conceiving of an inability to understand that's "much, much worse" than what we've already seen.

Ahhhh, that payoff was so satisfying. I read this this morning and I'm still smiling three hours later. I love this story, I love the fluff pieces.

In 125, how would you handle 姫始め? (Google translates it literally as ‘Princess beginning’, which hardly needs to be spoilered at all.)

Tough one. I can't think of a good way to retain the ambiguity, but I'm not a native speaker. Maybe something like "Let's go have the new year's first time at my place.", but I'd hardly call that an improvement.

I'm only a student of the language, and rusty at that, so I may be mistaken; but if I recall correctly, I think it's the first sexual encounter of the year, though it can also (again, if memory serves) be used to describe any first of the year.

That's my guess. I don't know for sure what's going to happen, obviously; but knowing this manga, I suspect that Nanao will start using brothels, she'll be the one to find Mai, and that'll probably lead into a poly ending.

Just my suspicions, though. We'll see if it plays out that way or not.

Look, I've adored this series for several years now; but this chapter was an absolute trainwreck at the end that leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Why was she peeved, she is 2nd, so the answer being "two" is great news for her.

Does she know she's second? I can't remember if Chidori ever told her about her previous love.

IIRC she never did tell Nanoha about it.

Chapters 45 and 46, we had a minor dilemma with Igarashi; culminating in Nanhona boldly declaring herself "[Chidori's] current girlfriend." In 47, Nanoha also recalls that Chidori had a cute gift bag on the Valentine's before they started dating and deduced it was for Igarashi. She may not know the specifics of what went down with Igarashi, but she does know that there's some kind of history.
