I've liked Osawa's previous series but this one unfortunately did not live up to its potential. Going into it knowing it ended at only ten chapters I knew to not expect much and I was right to keep my expectations low. It's a shame because as others have pointed out, the bones of a potentially good story were there but this just wasn't very compelling for me in the end.

I would have liked to see a bit more between Hikaru and Hana so that I could at least understand why Hikaru ditched for her (beyond her childhood memories) and especially why does Hana want Hikaru that badly? But whatever.

Putting aside all of the legal talk. I just can't understand people like him, he had a good life and he seemed well put together at first. It was going well for him, his wife and his child but he decided to ruin it all. I know addiction isn't exactly something you can control, but surely there must've been a point where he thought "dang I've lost a lot of money, I should probably stop before this gets out of hand" but still decided to keep gambling regardless.

While she may not be blameless, I think it's pretty safe to say at least 75% of the blame is on him for putting them in the situation to begin with and for manipulating her into feeling stealing the money was her only option. Sigh, I feel so bad for their daughter she deserves better.

Alright I think it's time for me to tag out on this series. It had some bit of potential for a while but this was too ugh to put up with anymore. Best of luck to those who stick with it.

I read the end scene as her being embarrassed that he noticed rather than her figuring out her feelings. As pointed out by some others at the start of ch1 she remarks how she "seems to like girls more than boys" and that she likes Karin so she seems to already have her feelings sorted out. At least internally.

This was so cute, I need more!
