Cis straight male. And old to boot.

Well, I'm an old straight guy who has always been into romance, particulary if the romance doesn't invoke overdone tropes. At some point I got tired of male love interests since I was too old to identify with shallow boys. Since I'm attracted to women, not to men having two (or more) women attracted to each other felt more emotionally resonant. I do like to know that love interest have a sexual attraction but find most porn to be boring.

It doesn't look like the actually bought the credits for these mangas, I think it's just someone who's trying to earn money from translations.
Lilyka is an imprint of Digital Manga. To quote wikipedia, Digital Manga is a company that licenses and releases, in English, Japanese manga, anime, and related merchandise. It was pretty easy to look up information about them.

It is a download. I got a PDF since I read on a PC, but there are 6 or 7 e-reader formats available. Looks like they have most devices covered. You don't get to choose a format until just before you pay.

It was chap 1-6 as labelled here, so 27 pages.

I just bought the single chapter of Tadokoro they have for sale. There are several e-reader formats. Looked at some other titles and didn't see any with multiple chapters yet. The site just opened 4/30, so if they are doing their own translation, might be a while before there are multiple chapters.

Whether or not they have jumped through all culturally expected courtship hoops, I'd say these two are about as firmly pair-bonded as they can be. As to them being sexually active, its hard for me to believe they are not, given how physically intimate they are. On the other hand, I can hear Kasumi say "Its too much work to get aroused and having an orgasm is even more work".

Well, it was Bambi's dad (antlers). Most Japanese homes have no way to store large volumes of meat. Those who hunt regularly may have stand alone freezers, but those are rare.

@BV Touko is hanging on to a train strap, that's why her arm is up like that. I can't read Japanese either.

Tangerine is one of the generic Western terms for the group of citrus fruits that mikans belong to. Oddly, in my region of the US I've never seen mikans marketed as tangerines. Sometimes as Satsumas, but more often as "Little Cuties" or some variant.

Parthenogenesis (asexual reproduction) can and usually does cause evolution to stagnate, but incest does not since it is sexual. It might slow it at first, but over time variation would increase as the population increases. But as you say non-adaptive traits can become more common. The society might eventually have to be very strict about who is allowed to reproduce.

There is a story here On Dynasty - Girl x Girl x Boy. It not quite what you seem to interested in, but you might like it. Set up is boy likes lesbian, lesbian likes straight girl, straight girl likes boy. I just looked at it again and the ending is different than I remember. My memory was that the boy and the lesbian meet up, console each other a little, then go their separate ways after being led on a merry dance by the straight girl. The real ending is much better.

It's never been an exclusively yuri site. The first manga Dynasty did was Pastel (anybody remember that?). They have never promised an entirely yuri site.

It's all fine and good in a 2d land, but kids, don't actually drink milk before running unless you're trying to empty your stomach.

I used to drink drink chocolate milk during breaks in marital arts training(and then chewed a stick of gum so my mouth didn't feel cottony). It was pretty common in my dojo. It did make some people gag tho.

Nevermind cute tsun never mind we're both girls. The most annoying sad trope in most of these works is "once HS is over no one ever ever contacts anyone so just give up. Out of sight, out of mind." It's ubiquitous in Japanese stories.

Well, its ubiquitous in RL as well. Although many people keep in touch with high school friends, others do not. Also high school love affairs are seldom long lasting. It's a time when people are learning how to behave in love affairs. Often the learning is painful and sad. While fluffy high school love stories are fun, I find the painful ones more interesting particularly if the characters seem to have grown a bit.

This isn't exactly the right place, but I though I had seen a post with information on how to support Galette. I can't find it on the Forum. My vague memory is that was on a Japanese Patreon type site.

It’s been licensed by Seven Seas in the US. They just released the 3rd volume. The scanulator’s website suggested that they need translators.

Just re-read this after many years. It’s well written and features the adorkable tomboy and serious student pairing that I find attractive. For me though, the outstanding character was Ichijou, one of the best examples of a straight best friend for a lesbian. She’s tough as nails and very supportive of the tomboy character. She is somewhat over-protective at first but learns to let go. It was a nice development of a secondary character.

I think we learned two small, but important bits about Touko and Yuu. First, from Yuu’s friend Natsume, we hear that Yuu has always had pretty muted emotional responses – not crying in victory or defeat. Her not feeling swept off her feet seems like a consistent part of her temperament. Therefore, her expectations from love songs and shojo manga are never going to be met.

Second, Touko’s parents or at least her father think she is pushing herself too hard. They are not the ones pushing her to live her sister’s life. The pressure is all internal. On the other hand, it seems to me that Touko always had the ability to be what she is now. Perhaps, to be cruel, her revered older sister needed to be removed for Touko to reach her potential.

It’s hard for me to guess how Touko will react when she finds out that Yuu is in love with her Sometimes, she acts like she would welcome it, like when she was happy to see Yuu laugh and when she wanted Yuu to kiss her instead of her kissing Yuu. Other times it seems like she would freak out, like during the umbrella sharing. And then that phone call at the end of Chap 19, where what Touko wanted was Yuu’s uncaring response, contrasted with Yuu squirming on her bed in delight.

There is a lot going on in this manga, so much that I’m uncomfortable trying to predict any sort of outcome. I do feel that an end where Touko and Yuu are not together is not guaranteed to be a bad end

This chapter made me feel that Washio is a little too cool. She has pretty strong emotions, but doesn't let them show. There's a hint that she may think her feelings for Kotooka are just a typical teenage crush (pseudo-romance specific to adolescence , to quote another manga) and that she will just enjoy them until they fade away. After all she has already had one crush that has faded. She has no intention of telling Kotooka. Also she apparently has no clue about Tsukasa's feelings for her. If she does, then telling Tsukasa about her crush on Kotooka seems quite cruel.

In any case, we all need to remember that these are 13-14 year old kids. This is their first experience with love, which is confusing enough in simple cases and this is anything but simple. If this was realistic, it would end in a train wreck with at least some characters becoming a little more mature. In my limited experience, I don't know anybody that got together in Middle school and remained together for the rest of their lives.

Regarding the page cuts, the translator says (on his website) that that’s how the raws he gets are formatted. If you look at this on Batoto you can read each chapter as one long strip. The uploaded file to Batoto is the same as the file uploaded to Dynasty. Either the Dynasty reader doesn’t have the functionality to stitch the file together as one strip or the functionality exists and isn’t being used for this strip.
