Hoping for a sequel of the manga, it was really great. Style is pretty, character dynamic too, loved how their relationship progressed and the sensual vanilla moments that weren‘t in any way uncomfortable to look at.

as a lesbian this manga‘s storytelling rather makes me feel uncomfortable so I choose to pass this one.

That escalated quickly from "Wouldn‘t you rather date a boy?" to "GIVE ME YOUR GIRLFRIEND1!11!"

For some reason I keep confusing this one with Sheltered Girl and Boyish Girl(? or whatever the title was).
But I definitely like this one better.

My mind kind of erased the fact that I randomly checked this manga out mid-way back then so I got to binge it to the current chapter now. It‘s better than I gave it credit for. I‘ll be looking forward reading more about it~

Also I hope Setouchi, or Satouchi, gets in contact with her delivery girl again, there‘s rare cases a side pairing story piques my interest, but this is one of them.

Judging the next chapters’ titles, I‘m not quite sure how much of it is just fillers, sounds like a good portion of them.

How so? Judging by the titles we should now return to the school trip mentioned in this chapter, which should certainly not be filler. Then some side couple stuff, which I wouldn't consider filler either, even if some readers don't seem to care for them. And again back to the school trip. The last chapter does probably follow the first again, judging by the title, but unlike the what if chapters of the previous volumes, I wouldn't really even consider these flash forwards filler. And with Yashiro's comments in this one, even those what if chapters became an important part connected to the actual story.

I‘m not sure, I mean this journey stuff could also imply the continuation of the future trip, the way they boarded the plane and it ends just there. But it‘s hard to tell when 4/6 chapters have the term "Journey" in there, it just sounds like it‘s all the same thing.
I hardly care about the side characters, to be blunt, I don‘t find any of them interesting enough to read about them, whether it’s the bonus chapters after each regular chapter or actual chapters dedicated to them. To me everything is a filler that doesn‘t serve plot, character information or development related to the actual story that is going on, which is AdaShima‘s relationship progression in their highschool years. It‘s already enough that they(NagaHino/Yashiro) have the last 20 pages of most chapters dedicated to them, they are hardly ever important to the progression of the story, when they aren‘t assisting the main characters in stuff that‘s related to one another right now. And about Yashiro... there‘s nothing really that I need to say about her.

But I guess I just make myself unpopular with this opinion.

Thanks for the translation and I appreciate it a lot...
But at this point it feels like the author just wants to prolong the series by adding filler chapters instead of continuing where he left off the story. I‘m not sure for how long I‘m gonna keep following this, if it keeps up like this.

First couple pages I thought this was a mix between Hibike Euphonium and Revue Starlight, the vibes. But reading till chapter 2... hm... not so interesting after all, everything also just happens too fast, that I can‘t really empathise with the characters. I guess I‘ll sit this one out.

Ooooh I like this already, but I feel like the romance part will progress quite fast though, kinda used to reading slow burn, pahahaha. Not that I really mind, if it‘s well-realised (which I hope that it will be).
This could make a nice long-running series and maybe be the next yuri hit.
I‘ll look forward to reading more.

Also looks like Kaosu-sensei got reincarnated as the main.

Iruma-sensei gave us volume 8. No spoilers of course, but it was the kind of volume that you didn't mind waiting for 10 years till the next book was released.

Raising the expectation bars? ;D

[...] and even before the Gon chapters, she thinks of Adachi when she's hanging out with Tarumi.

Yeah, the way she was always thinking about Adachi even when being with Tarumi really makes me think a Tarumi confession would have gone about like this:

Tarumi: "Shima, would you go out with me?"

Shima: "Sorry, no."

Shima thinking: I wonder what I would have said if Adachi had asked this?

The deadpan Shima answer just made me laugh out loud hahaha

And for a moment throughout the latest chapter I really thought a kiss might happen, or an accident one maybe. When Adachi talked about how she‘s the only one to receive, I had a situation in mind where they just want to part after a date, but before they do, they want to give each other a forehead kiss. Shimamura does it, cuz she knows Adachi wants it and that it‘d make her happy and Adachi wants to just try giving her one for once. Adachi bends down, Shimamura tiptoes and they accidentally kiss for real. That would be quite a funny first kiss.

I‘ve heard of this manga only recently, unfortunately because of a spoiler from the latest chapter, which got me exciting to read this manga. Just a bit sad how far behind the english scanlation is.
Dizzy Kagami is cute, I kinda want more of these shots and Indou and caring for her.

Interesting that Shimamura didn‘t say it back, when Adachi told her she loved her in the last page.
The "Thanks." followed by the "..." felt kinda weird to me. As well as the last two paragraphs just kinda prove my point, that Shimamura doesn‘t really know how much she likes Adachi or can‘t really define what love is to her yet. She values Adachi and that‘s easy to tell, but she can‘t quite think of her in a romantical way yet, despite dating her. But she said about herself that she‘s rather a cold person anyway. That sleepy Shimamura said "I love you, too." is just the only thing that bothers me, cuz the other two times Shimamura said "I love you" to Adachi, was once when Adachi urged her to do so and the other time to reassure her about their relationship("You love me and I love you. Right?").

Took us over a year

And we were lucky. In Japan it took three and a half.

Yeah. Man, must've been one heck of a wait between volume 5 and this one.

I would argue that it took 6 years for us to get to read the novels at all. (But being not aware of its existence and then suddenly being able to get regularly released translated chapters is still kinda good on it‘s own)

It took me 3 hours to read both chapters as I was laughing, fangirling, screaming and whatnot while reading, as well as having a major need to talk during the chapters with people that don‘t even read this novel. hahahaha
omg
I feel very satisfied with how this volume ended.
I wonder when Shimamura‘s idea of dating is "just doing the exact same thing with Adachi she‘s been doing before", will crash by the fact that Adachi probably wants to kiss her (or more?) at some point. We‘ll see, we‘ll see.

Agreed. This definitely isn't the most fast-paced story out there considering where we're at almost 6 novels in lol, but that's something I like a lot about it - more time for character development. If they cut the anime too short, I could see a lot of people not being super interested in it. I also don't want to see them rush the story along too fast just to appease those who are impatient because then a lot of the emotional impact of the scenes would be lost.

True that. I‘d just be sad if people hate on it, just because it‘s slow. The thing about a slow-paced story is, if it doesn‘t have a correspondingly longer adaption, then people would view it as a waste of their time. And AdaShima deserves better than that.
Only hope is, first season actually gets an open ending, no rushed, made-up ending, really just without conclusion and they announce another season shortly after that, that follows up a few seasons later. (I think Fruits Basket did something of the sort, but I didn‘t watch that one.)
