Its such a minor gripe but that "love" talk from Ch.19 always did bother me. Like, the idea of love not being about "gender or sexual preference" isn't wrong per se but it always came off as weirdly dismissive to me. "I Favor the Villainess" and the way it handled this kind of talk was such a breath of fresh air in regards to this stuff.

I mean its pretty clear that the manga was canned and Saburota was given a set amount of chapters to wrap the series up. This isn't something that isn't an uncommon occurance and it sucks for stuff like this to happen, but there's little that can be done about it. Citrus probably just wasn't selling well anymore, or Yuri Hime felt it was time to let the series go.

Hana and Hina After School also got a rushed ending due to cancellation, Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san is another series that Yuri Hime canned even though Kuzushiro still wanted to do stuff with it. Its just how these things go.

People, not all yuri is fluffy or has to be. Everyone loves to get upset over the slightest of drama. Y'all need to grow up or something. It's the same with stories like Netsuzou Trap.

I like good drama, this is crap... can't you tell the difference?

And attempting to defend horrible drama writing by using NTR as an example? Yeesh...

If anyone wants a good version of this type of scenario, go read Truth by Namori. Same sort of drama, yet people like it way better. I wonder why? Maybe it has something to do with actual good writing or something...

At the very least, there should be a "Cheating" tag. I mean, when I read something I want to know what I'm getting into. Just having drama and yuri as the tags ain't really telling me much about what I'm getting myself into.

I'd argue that the Yuri Family oneshot doesn't fit into Mochi canon anymore. It's retconned.

Not really retconned. Just takes place before Yuri Natsu. It makes sense as Tsubomi is still living at home and Hana looks younger than she does in the newer stuff.

Shes jealous that her girlfriend loved her own sister more than her, it's why they broke up in the first place. And from the looks of it incest is just as taboo there as it is in real life, so her reaction makes perfect sense.

Incest being taboo in the Mochiverse isn't really a thing, unless you meant in Japan? At the very least, incest doesn't seem to be THAT much of a taboo. If you don't recall, at one point the sisters were interviewed and broadcast on national television and the interviewer appeared to be really into the idea of the sisters going out. Which makes this chapter super strange, seeing as this most likely takes place AFTER the Yuri Family one-shot. Why is Tsubomi suddenly against "sis-cons" when her entire family is made up of them, and the one-shot showed that she's also one? Doesn't really make much sense.

I doubt its the former. In the one-shot, she wanted to kiss Hana but decided against it to see what would happen. Which is why this is really weird. Maybe Tsubomi's just testing the strength of their relationship? That would make the most sense.

Never really understood the Japanese mindset of getting married and having children, even if that isn't what you truly want. Traditionalism is lame, and so is the chick who got married in this one-shot.

You make out with a middle school girl, get married and leave her without a word, and then come back after a few years and start acting jealous and pissy when you hear she had a boyfriend? Either let Ecchan move on, or show her giving up on fighting her! One extreme or the other! Don't just say "I don't know"! That's too ambivalent. At least have some confrontation between them that Mai can be insincere and apathetic about! This isn't even satisfying my misery!

This. She's garbage. Runs away with her new husband then divorces and comes back expecting a warm welcome, yet gets pissy when she finds out Ecchan has a boyfriend? The fact that Ecchan doesn't call her out on her bullshit either gets me heated.

Everytime I see a new doujin of this come out, I remember that I forgot that Kuttsukiboshi was even a thing. And then I remember why I forgot it was a thing.

I would find it infinitely more interesting if Yuzumori was actually disgusted by Mimika trying to go down on her.
I get that the misunderstanding route would be the easiest one to play out in this situation, but considering the author already surprised me a little by not having Mimika do what she thought of at the first page, I'm now expecting good things from this.
It would be great to see the lolicon issue be tackled as something real for once in a manga.
The fact that Mimika's intentions seems actually pure would make it even better.

Eh. It would be more interesting in a sense, but then where's the author supposed to go from there? It's clearly a yuri manga, so the author would have to use the tired old trope of "If its you, its ok" that we've seen countless of other times. And the lolicon angle has been tackled before in Yoshikawa Ginza District 4. What'll be more interesting is seeing how everything between Yuzumori and Mimika's friend will go down. I say just keep it at a misunderstanding where Yuzumori is just mad at the fact Mimika said she didn't wanna be friends anymore.

I just feel like this manga is archaic in how it approaches the genre. Most of the ideas just feel like they're 10 years late. At least the brother dresses as a girl because he knows his sister is into girls, I think? That would be kind of interesting.

They kiss in the PV so maybe more than subtext? I doubt it will be, but a yuri-loving man can dream. That's all he can do when it comes to anime these days.
