Ugh... really hating the system right now. It gives out punishment whenever she tries to explain things or goes out of the intended routes. I feel like it's a sadist getting them together before destroying their relationship.

I hope she can find a way to deal with it even if its just a few minutes and explain everything to Elsa so that she wouldn't misinterpret her actions that she hates her (well, Elsa's already an M for Evie, so I doubt this will have any effect) as well as for her peace of mind.

I just started this today and I have this !@#$-eating grin on my face that won't come off for the past 10 minutes now

Hopefully plain(!?) girl and the other girl in the first chapter weren't actually doing anything and she was just helping the other girl with something stuck on her eye or something which is why it looked like they were kissing or something

This is really an emotional roller coaster. Until we somehow get to deal with the system, she can't be honest with her feelings. She can't even be honest with her about what's going on as the system will punish her whenever she tries to. Seeing Yvonne like this really hurts.

Brilliant to play the "What do you mean we haven't been dating for the past two months?" card.

The answer is they're not dating for the past couple of months. It looks like they're already a married couple

That line is interesting, how can this girl think about the villainess not being a love interest and at the same time wonder why she's jealous... It doesn't get more obvious than that! so I'm glad the yuri danshi is here to tell her right in the face because that level of density can form galaxies

She knows that [i]she[/i] likes Elsa, even if she doesn't want to admit how much, but she also thinks that she has to play the role of Villainess, which precludes a romantic relationship with the Heroine.

To put it into context, the first scene of the manga showed the Villainess system trying to force Evie to either actively push Elsa off a roof or watch her jump; the implication being that she would either die or be severely injured as a result of the fall. When Evie refused those two options the system proceeded to severely punish her.

How eager would you be to date someone you care about if you knew your continued proximity to them would likely result in you having to kill them, someone else your care about, or yourself? Wouldn't it be easier, and safer, to deny their feelings, and your own, in the hopes that they could find someone who isn't an active hazard to their continued health and well being? Just pretend that you're not obviously in love with each other, so you can tell yourself it'll hurt less when they leave?

That's definitely what's going on in her head. She wants to be with her, but can't due to that system. That's why she's actively trying to get her with one of the prospective male leads as the system will become obsolete once the heroine gets together with one of them, meaning she can finally be close to her without issues, but their relationship will only become as friends, not lovers.

I can buy that, since gacha games have a wide variety of personalities so at least one will appeal to someone's tastes, but Yvonne should really know about his yuri-obsession with her meta-knowledge.

There's actually a pretty good reason why she didn't know.

Anyway, seeing her jealous is a bit of a good sign... Hopefully she changes her perspective soon and get her girl. That line that said, the villainess will never become a love interest really hurts. Just one or two arcs more...

I love the details explained in the novel that we can't see in the manhua version. I'm really sad to see the self-depreciating mindset of Elsa, she really deserves to be loved.

The second they introduced the cousin in the letter and that she mentioned she has a male cousin, I've already thought of it... Hopefully she gets restless again like the time she thought someone was going to confess to Elsa when Elsa received what looks to be a love letter and destroys that date

Some part of me almost expects Yvonne to ask Elsa to send this letter for her please, and it "mysteriously never arrives at it's destination" (with a side of, "Oh no, Elsa, you have some soot on your skirt!").

But if we accept both that the author will keep her promises AND the Evie-like Existence will appear, I kind of hope he takes one look at the situation and is like "Okay, Elsa, we need to make a plan because otherwise you're never gonna get the girl."

I've actually tried to do MTL on this chapter of the novel and a huge spoiler warning, don't read if you do not want to be spoiled, you know, you're right... This guy is my favorite character as this guy is a huge Yuri shipper. He noticed how Elsa was looking at Yvonne during their conversations and noticed the signs and gave Elsa some pointers with regards to dealing with Yvonne. The next arc in the orphanage is going to be our long awaited development as per previous spoilers in this thread

Yvonne is planning to hitch Elsa to her Leinster cousin, right? Come on, nobody mentioned it yet but I can't be the only one who thought of it!
Remember? Two chapters before we got a lengthy exposition about Yvonne's relatives the Leinsters. There was a Leinster boy who was Yvonne's cousin (her mother's sister's son) and he was about her age and they got along well. When I read it, I asked myself: "Why the info dump? Why should we care about these people?" But I get it now. I'm willing to bet money that the Leinster cousin has the same looks as Yvonne and matches Elsa's description of "her type" perfectly!

I think you're definitely onto something. I've just reread that chapter and you're right: with such an info dump about the Leinsters, it's a given they're going to play a part in whatever Yvonne's about to do. It's called the dramatic principle of the gun of the Russian guy whose name I can't recall.

Looking forward now to when Yvonne shows up with her cousin in tow and says 'look Elsa, I've got you a MALE version of ME for you to date!'

A thought - if she doesn't need to bully Elsa anymore once she enters a route, does this mean everything would be solved if only she would accept that Elsa has chosen her route?

Problem is, there's no Yuri route in the original game. We don't know if the system will come up again if she does accept it. We'll have to wait and verify this as the story goes.

Once again: She's not dense, she's in denial. People really need to start reading the thread before posting seeing as discussion is kinda the entire point of a forum.

Yep, definitely in denial, as there were no Yuri route in the original game, so she doesn't think that the heroine have any romantic feelings for her. Her mindset is that everything should go as the original game should go and the villainess system as well keeps on popping up as long as they are together and whenever there are no potential ML in the vicinity. That system is like a shackle to her, thinking that the game routes won't deviate from its set course.

Well you're gonna love how this one ends though. Those flashbacks and bandages should be explained by the end of this arc hopefully
