Wow, first time in a while that I've come across a homophobic "psycho lesbian" archetype in the wild like this. I judge the author hard for how two dimensionally awful they wrote Bko. She's a character straight (heh) out of one of those cheap paperback lesbian-sploitation erotic novels from the 1970s. A good wholesome girl gets baited and/or coerced into getting trapped by an evil psycho lesbian and it's saved by a nice wholesome Christian man who's definitely not abusive or controlling, unlike those mean lesbians! This author has of course innovated on this formula by replacing the hero with a legal loli. ...yay, I guess.
What a completely facile, reductive and intellectually dishonest reading of this story.
@muteKi If we are talking the remake, sure she is fairly forward and decisive- but if we are thinking OG classic Aerith then no- she is mild and gentle in personality- tho still very brave and determind.
This... is not true of OG Aerith at all.
Remakes characterisation of her is pretty spot on.
Ayano x Miyoshi went from being a pairing I didn't care at all about to being THE REAL GOOD SHIT. Probably around the time Ayano actually started to develop real serious feelings for her and Miyoshi kept on being super dense and in denial.
All the people being sad about their inevitable breakup are weird. From the previous oneshots it can't be emphasised more as to how incompatible they are and how them dating is absolutely a compromise. Just wanting them to stay together solely because they're both girls is equally as bad as terrible chemistry straight pairings in other works that only happen because the characters need to be heterosexual
NozoEli is such a mature, happy and healthy relationship but it's nice to have a story like this, where they have some issues and arguments. Feels very realistic and believable (especially that Seenzoned bit, WEW I've been there before)
Actually I will say despite my earlier post I really don't like how the art has changed. It's pretty jarring comparing how the eyes/faces were drawn in the earlier chapters compared to the more recent ones.
