I'm honestly still surprised that this topic is so divisive. For a grounded story to have a couple fighting and having communication issues, and then they have sex while one is a lot more drunk than the other, it just...rubs me the wrong way personally. Last time I deleted my thoughts on the subject because I didn't want to argue about it and it looks like that was right call, with how people are very much just not going to agree on this subject.
Nah fosho. I think debate and discussion is fun, we don't gotta all agree. I wouldn't call it arguing, idk why people are quick to shut it down. Maybe it's because online through words, I personally read all of these comments in a Ace attorney way, all silly and unserious. It's also interesting to see where people draw boundaries. Our definitions of abuse, SA, consent varies, and how comfortable we are with intimacy if other factors are involved. In media SA is often depicted as forceful and violent, consent has to be straight forward and clear cut. This kinda can be perceived as a grey area, where people have to think harder about using labels to describe this scene, the line blurs and there isn't a perfect label. There are many factors involved you have to take into consideration. The fact that it's divisive proves this in a way.
Mitsuki should let Aya about what went down last night, just the fact that she doesn't remember is the most disturbing part (imo), and that is by influence of alcohol. They probably will talk about it some chapters in the future.
this is great. honestly, i got myself worked up discussing this topic, so it's comforting to see that even though some people have normalized what happened, there are still others willing to question it.
personally, i also hope they address it, or else i'll continue to think of that moment in the manga as one of the worst, in fact, the worst.
and i'll also continue to support the idea that the mere fact that aya doesn't remember anything from that night makes everything even worse. well, i hope they mention it after her brother's situation has been resolved :/
Do you mean we the readers glossed over it? Or do you mean the manga? Seeing as the manga was the one that mentioned it, it's going to come up again. As far as readers, I'm not sure what sort of response you're looking for. Going back to ch 167 Mitsuki didn't want to sleep with Aya, she did it because Aya wanted to. It's not an ideal situation, but it doesn't read as abuse to me.
Also ch169 pretty clearly states that what Aya can't remember is between getting drunk at the bar and being placed on the couch by Mitsuki. She doesn't remember leaning on her friend's shoulder or Mitsuki bringing her home, but her memory comes back to her after she gets home.
So there was no abuse whatsoever, people are just overreacting for replies.
the fact that aya "wanted" that was precisely because she was drunk, and yet mitsuki did it :v
it's clear that it might be a bit of an exaggeration to say it was outright abuse, but having sex with someone drunk (just one drunk person) will never be ethical or right. ignoring it and saying it was a mutual decision is like you really didn't understand anything about that chapter... and the worst part is that it seems the author didn't either LOLI just think it's too much of a black and white to say "will never be ethical or right". Of course it's wrong if they're incoherent, slurring and stumbling, etc. But if they're coherent, like Aya was, consent can be given while under some amount of influence. If you and your partner go out and one of you is the designated driver and the other is drinking, they can still consent when they get back home. I'm also not saying these situations are 100% right, I think they're ambiguous. And if we look back on ch. 144, it's pretty normal for them to have sex while Aya is tipsy to drunk while Mitsuki is sober.
uhhh no... i'm sorry, but even under that logic it's still not right. those are my principles, at least.

still not over the fact that mitsuki abused that child's sister lol
People just log in here and type anything. By this logic, any time a couple fights, it should be labeled "abuse".
Pretty sure they're referring to the time Mitsuki slept with Aya while Aya was drunk. But to me, this just shows that the poster has never been in a committed relationship, because most couples give each other pre-consent for that kinda stuff. I've definitely had drunk sex with my committed partner before, and no, I didn't feel like I was abused lol
i told myself i wouldn't respond if someone else did, but oh well, i couldn't keep my word.
if those are your standards, that's fine, but it was never okay to take advantage of someone who was drunk for sex, which is what happened and the author chose to forget. (it's even worse if the drunk person doesn't remember what happened, as seems to be the case with aya).
well, i guess we all have different interpretations of the situation, but i still don't have any hope for mitsuki after that :/
edit: and i'm even less inclined to swallow the propaganda that "mitsuki is depressed and needs to touch her girlfriend"... sorry, but in stable relationships, you talk before having drunk sex (just one drunk person, in this case)

i liked this chapter even though it was short and some see it as "unnecessary". i definitely agree when they say the confession is pointless, but hey, at least she did it! i would too. and Shima's silent response is god, i loved when she said "oh, you too?". i can't wait for what comes next :D
I'm not disappointed with the chapter, just annoyed that they haven't resolved the issue with Mitsuki and Aya yet, and now they've decided to focus on yet another character? Ahhughghggghhh, with each passing chapter I can't help but think the series has lost its way. I'm sorry. I keep reading it out of obligation, but I don't even know if I like the characters anymore. The reason I was staying was to see the main couple's problem resolved, because it's already problematic enough. Well, I'll have to wait another week...
Aahhh this is so intense...
I really like the characters of Hajime and Momoka. To be honest, I was already very moved by Shiho's story, to the point of identifying with her regarding loss. But with Hajime it's three times as intense. I couldn't help but see myself in her with every word I read, and my eyes did get teary, haha...
This comment doesn't really make much sense, I just wanted to say that I love this series so much and I have no other word for this episode other than intense. One of my favorites from now on ;)
edit: just wanted to mention i loved when hajime says "if i accept it, then i really will never see her again." it reminded me a lot of myself.

i was so excited to read this new arc, considering it's a new stage for the characters and it was also great to see their new adult designs.
but god, i couldn't agree more with this comments section.
seeing them revert to the way things were before is unbearable; i just wanted to see them be a cute couple facing everyday problems... not the same thing they went through as teenagers!
anyway, i'll still keep reading it; i really like the art, but until this drama is over, i'll keep reading it completely automatically.
Also the incest thing is still gross and weird and I hate that yuri manga seem to always have to have some weird one sided incest storyline. I for one can't stand my two older sisters and would NEVER see them in that light I just don't get it.
FR. this is one of my favorites yuri manga and since there's this minor incest storyline it's been... kind of weird. i can't see it, tbh. and i can't stand that character.
i just want aki and shiho to be happy and kiss for once!!!
we're so back
this is probably the best nsfw i've ever read lol.
it's so poetic and real but... i can't help but think that something at the end takes all that away from me.
anyway, i really liked it. i don't read many manga of this type, but i specially liked this one :)
