Now that I'm rereading this with the benefit of hindsight, it brings up a thought: Is Kawazoe into women?

Early on, Haruki mentioned Kawazoe living with her boyfriend. However, the story makes it increasingly clear that Haruki just does not realize that women can be anything other than straight early on and would probably be the type to see a picture of a lesbian wedding and ask where the grooms are. It's possible that Kawazoe left some things vague and Haruki jumped to conclusions, just like she did with Miya.

The only thing we really know about Kawazoe's partner is that they live together and take turns cooking for each other. However, Mizuno does see a potential risk in Kawazoe falling for Haruki (I guess in the event that she breaks up with her partner). Though Mizuno leans a bit more towards being paranoid, (like when worrying about Kiyo, though that's partially on Haruki for being a bit clueless and it's even mentioned that her previous partners have suspected her of cheating before so it seems to be a matter of her not setting boundaries properly) she's generally a good judge for these kind of things and certainly has shown to be more perceptive than Haruki. She's also been hanging out with Kawazoe long enough to be able to get a good read on these things.

Not only that, Mizuno does mention in chapter 56 that there are at least 4 people in DAP who have their eyes on Haruki. She seems to include herself and outright names Terauchi as another. There's a chance the remaining 2 are just unnamed characters who never showed up, but assuming they're not, the remaining named characters at this point in the story are:

• Masuda
• Kawazoe
• Shinjou
• Yokouchi

Yokouchi is out since we know he's more interested in Mizuno. Shinjou went into full workaholic mode right away and hasn't really been there that long at that point. That leaves Masuda and Kawazoe as the most likely candidates for named characters. I think Kawazoe being into women is quite likely and it's funny to think that Haruki has just been "surrounded" the whole time and just completely failed to realize it.

Also, some other things I didn't realize the first time around:

• DAP = SAP
• WoohooEats = Ubereats
• Soldforce = Salesforce
• Moonbucks = Starbucks (I caught this one the first time, but just listing them all out)

I only read the Chinese translated version of this on a website but holy cow it feels so different and I didnt realize that there were spicy chapters in this novel (the Chinese one didn't translate that part due to it's laws there
Overall I very appropriate the effort u put in to translate this novel and I love that u use different fonts in translation :D I enjoy it so much I reread this like 3 times it's sooo good

I'm surprised they even bothered translating it to Chinese if they needed to censor it. I guess it left out a few key parts involving Mizuno and that's why it feels so different.

Glad that you're enjoying them. I originally posted in wattpad for the convenience but lately I've been thinking I should be putting them somewhere else. Once I'm done translating this one, I'll probably look into that and then upload some of my past translations on here.

It was pretty clear to me that Mizuno was being written with a slant towards yandere from the outset, though, which left me wishing it had been more subtle and built up to some big reveal or something shocking, e.g. Mizuno stealing things from Haruki at work and making a shrine.

One thing that I missed the first time I read it that I only caught now is that Haruki mentioned to Mizuno she gave her hand towel/handkerchief to an abandoned cat back in chapter 4, so it's likely that Mizuno went out of her way to find the cat in order to get something that belonged to Haruki.

Also despite Mizuno's more questionable tendencies, I personally think she comes off a lot better than Terauchi who just constantly puts Haruki in awkward situations where she can't refuse due to her obsession with how everyone views her. The best thing she ever said about her time with Terauchi was "the food was not bad", but Mizuno and Miya both got better reviews when it came to food anyways.

That's it for the batch uploads of this story. I'll upload the rest as I translate them, but Dynasty is caught up on what's up on Wattpad for the most part now.

I actually liked this a lot more than I expected. I even thought I'd give wattpad a try, but I didn't really like the formatting there, so I'm a bit conflicted now. I want to see the continuation, but I'd much rather do it in this format. I regard to the text size, it seems normal to me. Are people reading this on a phone perhaps? I could see how it would appear small in that case. I find phone screens too small for manga, so I always use a tablet or PC for Dynasty, anyway.

On a side note: Is this really yandere? I didn't get that impression so far and I'm not sure I'm interested in that kind of development...

I'll try to get the rest on wattpad over here in the weekend. I modified all the text in the first part so it's a bit bigger than the initial version I uploaded.

The author tagged this as yandere. This is probably because one of the characters can get rather obsessive, though not outright violent so it's probably not to the extent that you'd imagine whenever you normally see this tag. Both characters have their own mental baggage to deal with.

It might be easier to just make an epub or pdf when you're done with it all, cause yeah wattpad and dynasty have kind of shitty ui.

I was hoping to have it hosted somewhere other than wattpad but I've been too busy with work to get around to that. If I do manage that, I'll edit this post to include other links. This story can get rather heavy at times, but I definitely didn't regret reading it when I got to the end so I hope some of you will be able to enjoy it as well.

No, it's not available to read anywhere other than wattpad at the moment. NovelUpdates only has external links and in this case, they would just link to the wattpad chapters.

I actually haven't checked if this got accepted to NovelUpdates yet since I try to not look at ratings at the things I translate until I'm finished. By links not showing, I mean it will show what the latest releases are but the chapters aren't clickable links unless you're logged in. Does NovelUpdates show 17 chapters under "It's Your Fault I've Been Ruined as an Elite"? If not, then I guess my requests to add new chapters there have been rejected.

Also, interesting ambiguity in the last panel, where it's not clear whether people subscribe or unsubscribe. (Tbh, probably both.)

I think it's people subscribing. If you look at page 12 when the vtuber starts streaming in the bottom left, there's the click effect and the button says "Start Streaming". Normally after you click it, the button text should change to something like "Stop Streaming", so in this case, the panel is showing what everything looks like right before the click.

if page 20 is consistent with page 12, then "Subscribe" is what the button says right before the click whereas if the viewers were trying to unsubscribe, the button should say "Unsubscribe" instead.

I'll look into converting the translations into images when I have the time and see if I have any luck getting it uploaded to Dynasty. I'm planning to make an epub available as well for easier reading. I'll test it out on one of my finished translations first.

Meanwhile, I'll probably leave a post here every time I finish translating a section (the 70 chapters are divided into 10 sections).

I may post some of my thoughts as I reread the story for the translation.

As someone who works in an office job, the early parts where Haruki describes how she hates going outside while pretending to be interesting when conversing with her colleagues are a bit too real. I'm not even an elite but the feeling of my social life slipping away as I give in to the exhaustion of the work week is still something I struggle with.

On the yuri front, I'm not quite sure what I can say at this point without giving too much away. Reading the interactions between Haruki and Mizuno is one of the main highlights for me and the main reason I decided to pick this one to translate after reading a couple of other webovels.

I know Dynasty hosts some written translations too, so I think you should look into requesting they upload your work; that'll probably get it more attention than Wattpad. You should also link it on NovelUpdates if you haven't already.

Are there any examples of written translations hosted on Dynasty?

I've linked it on NovelUpdates, but I think that hasn't helped much ever since they started required logging in to see links.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found the samples under the light novel tag. Not quite sure webnovels would fall under the same category, so I'll just post the thread and leave it at that for now. I did translate one light novel though so I can try to convert it to images and try uploading it at some point.

Hi, I'm translating "It's Your Fault I've Been Ruined as an Elite" or "あんたのせいで私のエリートが台無しなんだが" by Kazemaru.

The webnovel is complete in Japanese at 70 chapters and I've translated 15 of them and am planning to translate 3 chapters per week.

The premise of this story is that Kyomoto Haruki, a female office worker, is highly self-conscious and tries her best to appear capable even if it means hiding some of her true personality. One day, a familiar face from high school who she sees as having stolen her glory during her high school days begins working at the same company and the story goes from there.

The later chapters touches on some pretty heavy issues such as self-harm and both characters have/had relationships with men.

I've been posting the translations on wattpad for now and I've posted links on novelupdates, but I figure there may be some people here who are interested in the premise, so I'll just leave a link here.
