Interesting that the first appearance of the new manager is right at the end of an Iwashita/Tsubasa chapter. I don't think it's a coincidence.

My prediction: new manager is a lesbian huntress who will fancy Tsubasa as soon as she sees her, and (ab)use her authority as Tsubasa's boss to coerce her into sexx0r. Then it will be time for Iwashita to be a hero and rescue the damsel in distress.

Ayu knows about the boyfriend, so considering that she was aggressive with the flirting, even making Youko promise to spend the night with her, it is rather rotten to then throw the boyfriend in Youko's face all of a sudden. Ayu's negative response isn't because Youko has a boyfriend, it's because the situation is no longer on Ayu's terms. She's being selfish.

The text doesn't say Youko's hanging out with her boyfriend as if she just switched gears with her feelings. Going home with her boyfriend was a disappointment. And he likely knew Youko went to the event so it isn't weird that she'd contact him when it was over or for him to possibly be in the area on his own. The person Youko wanted to go home with was Ayu.

So many negative comments and while I understand some of it, and I agree that Youko needs to sort things out and ditch the guy already (For her own feelings, Ayu's, and the boyfriend's. I do feel bad for him because he did seem like a decent guy) I see Youko as someone coming to accept her sexuality after struggling to do so.

When younger Youko was flirty with Yae, likely not understanding what she was doing nor how Yae responded to it. When confronted with the reality of her orientation, when Yae asked her out, she got scared, rejected Yae and went out with a boy (not an unrealistic response).

In this chapter Youko essentially admits that had she been honest with her feelings back when Yae asked her out she may have accepted. And explains that now she wants to be honest with herself and with Youko. Yae DECIDES to support and then openly encourages Youko to do so. Not surprising that Youko, who has repeatedly been assured by Yae that things are fine between them, to then reach out to her main supporter. Yes, I think Youko out of consideration should rethink reaching out to Yae. However Yae created the environment for Youko to feel comfortable reaching out to her.

The argument in some posts here is similar to "She wasn't accepting of her sexuality when Yae wanted her! Screw her! Damn her! BURN HER!" I see a character that struggled with her sexuality, made some mistakes, and needs support (even if that means someone has to point out a harsh reality to her, that's still support). And has more or less reconciled with Yae. I mean "She hurt Yea so she should stay in the closet for the rest of her life! How dare she accept her sexuality and fall in love!" is just shaming homosexuality itself. (These are paraphrases)

The amusement park chapter in the prequel established that Yae had lingering feelings for Youko and this chapter reestablishes that. If she told Chitose how much she was bothered by seeing Youko falling in love with another girl Chitose would be none too happy for this to happen a second time.

Even so, and even though hurt, Yae decided to support Youko. We can project our own experiences onto the characters but I don't think that's fair.

That was a great analysis of the situation. I have nothing to add. Good job!

Btw, to those of you who didn't get it: it should be obvious that the big fight and the horrible things to say came AFTER Ayu made that comment about Youko's boyfriend. Morishima-sama just didn't feel like drawing it, and, frankly, I think she did the right thing (we didn't really need the scene).

Love this manga. So happy there's a new chapter. Yay!

By the way, it's a canon fact now: Casanova seduction techniques are even funnier than Gigolette seduction techniques! ^_^

Tongue kiss???
I was expecting a peck on the lips, not a big deep tongue kiss that leaves them with strings of saliva connecting their mouths.

I think we have canon now:

This spaghetti is officially wet.

Tadokoro-san, face the facts: you're dating Superwoman.

Katou-san has weapons of mass distraction.
She's invincible.
Nobody can focus on the little ball while facing those.

And...

While this happens...

Kana is still oblivious to everything. D'oh.

Or they get both transported to original world and now there are two lily there, one het, one les. Which would make a more interesting story, with tons of twists, IMO.

Ah, good one.

But first Marika needs to explore Yuriworld through and through.

Next chapter, I'm guessing we'll meet her parents... and the female version of her father.

Those perverted heterosexuals!!

Im guessing we'll have the ending where she goes home and then Yuri girlfriend doesn't come with and its all sad until she finds her counterpart which turns out to be a dude and then everyone rage quits the manga

Oh for... SIGH. I know other commenters went over this already, but let's go at it one more time.

In the Yuriworld, females are unchanged in everything except sexual behavior. They are the same people Marika know in the normal world, only turned to yuri. Eg: Toudou and Ogino, Marika's best friends, who are still the same Toudou and Ogino she remembers from the day before -- but who now are dating each other.

On the other hand, males have changed. How? It's not 100% clear yet, but at least some of them have turned into gender-swapped versions of themselves. Eg: Marika's little brother is now a girl who looks just like he would look wearing a wig.

So yeah, some chicks in this Yuriworld have male counterparts in the normal world. That's a fact.

But other chicks have identical female counterparts. They look the same in both worlds. That's a fact too.

And Kazami Lily is one of the latter. We know this because Marika told us so. When she first saw Lily in the Yuriworld, Marika said: "Oh yeah, this is Kazami Lily, the school prodigy, she's in the neighboring class." Which means there is an identical female Kazami Lily in Marika's original world. Which means Marika will NOT return to her "normal" world and date a male version of Lily, because such a male individual doesn't exist. Lily is a girl everywhere.

Enough of this baseless speculation already, geez.

This manga is great. This manga is the bestest. This manga is luv.

A whopping 10 pages of comments after only a chapter 1 + 1.1 totally confirm it.

It's not every day that I find a story that makes me feel so thrilled.

Can't wait to read more. Hope it becomes a hit in Japan and gets an anime.

I was promised unexpected turbulence. Where is the ridiculous misunderstanding? Where's the cliffhanger ending?

I've noticed that this manga is really good at dodging cliché tropes.

It happened several times already: a chapter ends with our MCs at the brink of going through several chapters of misunderstandings, angst and suffering (or, at least, that's how it looks like to us, the genre-savvy readers) and then, next chapter... wham, big surprise: they have a talk, they open their hearts to each other, the potential misunderstandings are dispelled and all's right with the world!

I really hope this manga starts a trend. We need lotsa more yuri like that.

So in less than a month we've had (rough count) over 60 pages of this story released, and probably more posts than that lamenting how short it is.

Haha, that's exactly the absurdity of it. You nailed it.

One has to wonder what the point of a shield Kaijin is. It literally can't attack!

I'm guessing that they don't send that Kaijin on its own, instead it's probably supposed to take the attacks from the Hero and protect the other Kaijin while they attack, like a tank in an RPG.

But normal Kaijin are weak fodder that can barely hurt a toddler. The only one who ever managed to hit Rapid Rabbit merely pushed her... lol

A MOTW that can only defend? It's not unheard of. There was one in Sailor Moon, she could only raise barricades and block openings (like doors or windows) so that the heros wouldn't be able to reach the place the baddies were attacking.

Why did they translate it as "acting gay"...? That's so bad. Fucking hell.

And what would be a more appropriate translation?

The original is ゆりごっこ which reads "Yuri-gokko" and I must say I'm really not sure how to best translate it. I mean, yuri is yuri, of course, but I don't know what gokko conveys in this context.
It was rendered by the scanlators as "acting gay" and perhaps we should just accept it and let it be.

Yay! I’m glad this series got picked up :) Read it in yuri hime and glad I can finally understand now

I can tell this is gonna be a great series.

Although, to be a nitpicker, I find it difficult to believe that, in the roof scene with Sanae, Fujita wasn't fishing for a kiss.
I mean, come on! She's your best friend; you went to her and told her that the "in thing" right now is giving your bestie a big old gay kiss; and then you just sat there, looking at her and waiting! What was she supposed to read from these signals!?

Chapter 1 is really cute

But tbh, this series had me at

Yes yes ye-e-e-es...

I loved that. First chapter, we play at being gay just for funz, giggle giggle.

Second chapter, we turn gay for realz!

Entire manga in 7 pages

I thought the same thing. ^_^
A 5-volume series summarized in 7 pages.
