Koguma keeps coming for more the more she's tricked and humiliated.
Do we have a "masochism" tag?

Nozomi comes off in this chapter as totally clueless about yuri, doesn't she?
It's kinda odd...
I mean, even Moe and Hikari understand the notion of a girl/girl affair. In chapter 1, they discussed lengthily whether Asama was a lesbian and whether Risa and Aya were dating. And yet Nozomi here in the final panel looks like her brain has crashed because she cannot process what she saw: "Two girls were dating. Does not compute. Cancel/abort/restart?"

Was Nozomi always supposed to be so utterly oblivious about homosexuality?

"If I knew this would happen, then I should've just put my feelings out there... instead of acting like some pillar of support who's always aloof!"

Words of gold.

Remember, kids: always be honest about your feelings. Learn from Miki's mistakes.

That's what I was thinking too but it's a bit extreme to almost bite someone's ear off (who would want to hurt the person they love?)

Hm... but the dressing on her ear is rather tiny, isn't it?
It couldn't have been that bad...

Comparing it to Monet sure is right. Nice impressioniste art.

This manga is made of pure happiness. Every time a new chapter is released, I'm overjoyed.

I'd like to make a list of the high points of chapters 47-48, but in fact everything is a high point so it's no use.

Still, I want to say that Kasumi refusing to go to the goukon even when they bribed her with food was just waffy (I admit it: for a second, I feared she was gonna say yes ). Sakurako talking about Kasumi's Big Boobs of Happiness and comparing them with yummy food was squee-inducing (also, more support for the camp who believes that these two do the ecchi every night). And tsundere Sakurako who couldn't stay tsun even for 5 seconds was TOO CUTE!!!

I love it. The feelings are mutual and no one ended up with a guy, that’s all that matters to me. I love when characters are Possessive, really sends a chill down my spine. Nekomura amd Yukiko are really good at this kind of them, more please

I loved this story to bits!

When they reach the scene of "And so, by the time I was able to smile again, I had completely fallen in love with Ao-chan!" I think I kinda fell in love with Ao-chan too. Tee hee, she was just so cool...

What really surprised me is that, next page, they are already dating and have been for months. Whoa! I wasn't expecting that at all! I thought I had it pegged as an 'Office Romance: Women's Division' kinda plotline with Shuri in the role of Himeno -- and we would get to see now her efforts to find a way to seduce Ao-chan... but it turned out to be a completely different kind of tale. I guess genre-savvy failed me. Oh well.

This game is a wonderful example of a cast full of gay.

Honestly, I can't understand why there's such a big deal made here out of one person who thought one chapter (of a series they like) wasn't as significant as the others. But somehow it's become a thing unto itself, and the folks involved should probably take a step back and re-focus since it's getting a bit silly.

"Silly" is the word... but I didn't want to say it myself, lol (as it would have been bad netiquette). Thank you, Nezchan, we can always count on you to dispense chill pills for angry people.

Nothing much happened in this chapter...
People talked a lot to no particular end, and there were no new developments for the two MCs. That's it.

Really now?

That's how it felt to me, yep.

Fujishiro's hug definitely left an impression on Kurokawa. Now she questions what that was actually about and Fujishiro is certainly aware that she was doing something odd.

Frankly, this looked to me like a step backwards. Why the sudden awkwardness, when up to now they seemed to be comfy with those moments of touchy-feeliness and deep emotion?

Izumi got revealed as an ally to Fujishiro.

This we knew already. We also have reason to suspect that she has a crush on Fujishiro. But no development on that yet.

Heck, it seems Izumi hasn't even grasped yet that Kurokawa is her rival...

It was revealed that the reason Miki is such a bitch to Kurokawa and badmouthes Fujishiro is that she actually really adored her and can't cope with her change.

Pfffff... Miki is such a marginal existence in the story, I couldn't care less. In any case, if she admired Fujishiro, it's because Fujishiro was the queen bee of the school and had all the boy-drones at her feet. For her, that was the ideal role model. Straight as an arrow, our Miki.

A new childhood friend character will appear in the story soon, who apparently knew one of the MCs for 7 years and calls them her "angel".

Ah yes... that's kind of a development flag, alright... too bad it's the kind of flag that announces a new obstacle in the way of the relationship between the two MCs...

I've been loving this story so far, every chapter of it. But this particular chapter felt empty to me. Perhaps I've been spoiled by Nikaidou/Tadokoro and hoped for these two to turn more that way? Go figure.

Anyway, if you say you liked this new chappie, that's ok by me. Good for you.

Did y'all really feel that the story had a twist/surprise ending?
Me, I saw it coming a mile away.

When a main character says something ambiguous and another main character, after some thinking, comes to the conclusion that "Aha! She means she loves me!" or "Aha! She means she loves me not!" it always turns out to be the other way around.

It gotta be the most common, most pervasive trope in the book.

I was hoping to see where that cliff hanger was leading, but I suppose we will have to wait another month for that. One thing is for certain, that epic look of shock and incredulous disgust on Chiaki's face says she's about to kill a bitch.

Yeah, this feels more like an extra chapter rather than something that actually adds onto the story

Seriously. What's this chapter supposed to be? A side story outside continuity?

I mean, 'cause I can't believe the author decided to leave the festival cliffhanger unresolved...

i'd be really glad if she cheated on her husband and live with the mangaka girl i'm not even sorry for it...

Somebody would have to make the first move, though... and I'm not sure how such a situation could reasonably come to pass.

Perhaps something about Shirokuma needing reference material for a yuri sex scene?

It's been a hundred years since the male gender and it's related psychological archetype was erased from humanity. That's actually a VERY long time. Long enough that pretty much every single living person alive in their world today has never known a world where men existed. There is no living memory of the male gender, rather just second hand information learned from books. Given this it is very unlikely that the people of their current day world would even have much of a concept of what men or masculinity were like and certainly not a full enough working concept of it for somebody to identify intimately with what is now a non-existent gender archetype.

There would likely still be females that would act and think in a manner that our world would consider masculine by our standards, but in their world the idea of masculinity itself is just a faded second hand ghost of a memory. There simply would no longer be another gender to identify with. It would all just be shades of femininity. In fact the idea of femininity itself would likely die out as well eventually since it is now just all shades of being human.

Nice work! I really liked your analysis. Well-written, and makes all the right points. Good job!

This is such a fascinating story, no wonder there are 13 pages of comments after 2 chapters.

So we know now:

1) Kazami "has been watching" the yuriworld's Marika all this time. That's a cliché Japanese euphemism for "has been in love" with her all this time.

2) BUT! This Marika is not that Marika. They just look alike. Kazami, you wouldn't be so shallow as to fall for her just for her looks... right?

3) Marika has someone she's dating in the normal world. She didn't mention gender, but it's safe to assume it's a boyfriend. Big shock!

4) That boy must have a counterpart in yuriworld. A female version of himself. Marika will meet her eventually. What if she likes Marika and wants to date her? What will Marika do?

5) And, if Marika accepts, does that count as two-timing her bf? And what of Kazami? Some complex love polygons here...

6) And what about the yuriworld's Marika, is she in our world now? A girl from an all-female world in a world dominated by males... that's kinda scary.

Neeko's mom comes across as genuinely wanting to push her daughter forward without really understanding how she feels. like, she does what she can for Neeko to "progress" on the life track she doesn't question because that's what she and all her peers believe you're just supposed to do, it's normal and there's no reason to think about it.

Well, yeah. Moms trying to get their twenty-something daughters married asap (setting up omiai and such) is like the oldest trope in the book. Truth in fiction, too.

It's a common source of angst in yuri stories, where the lesbian daughter isn't interested in men but 1) she hasn't come out to her parents yet, or 2) she has come out to them -- but they just got angry and redoubled their efforts to get her a proper husband. I don't think it's Neeko's case, though, as she has shown some interest in males (and little attraction to females).

Honestly, it's kind of unrealistic that her mother has waited until now to introduce her to some marriage candidates. In a less comedic setting, the pressure on Neeko to marry someone and give grandchildren to her mother would have been there, I suspect, since long ago.

So... if I got it right, this Lady x Lady collection book is all about:
1) yuri
2) big breasts
3) dom/sub

Looks like an awesome triple combo to me. Yup yup.

I hope this sparks a new trend of yuri rom-coms. Just like the usual rom-coms that you can find in any shounen magazine, but with a twist: the hero who is surrounded by a romantic harem of cute girls is a girl herself.
