I'm not sure if I want to see a slap or Shiina immediately backing off on her own next chapter. I mean, the latter is obviously better, but she kinda deserves a slap too. Maybe both...? Yes, I'll go with both. (I doubt we'll actually get a slap though...)

In all seriousness, however, I like how Shiina's insecurities were portrayed here. I agree that this could've been shown even better with more chapters, as someone said above, but the author did a very good job with what room they had, the build-up in this chapter was great.

My goodness even the pigeons are not safe!

This made me laugh a lot harder than it should have.

See, I'm developing a hunch. I don't think Tokiko is going to be the last one standing at the end of this, for some reason I've got the feeling that the last one who's going to be alive is Ai, and despite Tokiko's "curse" ending with her, we're probably going to see hints that Ai is now "cursed."

We'll see how that turns out though.

Ah, the classic horror/thriller movie ending. I hadn't thought of it before, but now it seems likely.

This was probably the cheesiest and most terrible thing I've ever read... Loved it. And it's not only the plot itself, but also the way the scenes themselves are drawn, there were so many awkward cuts, random characters appearing and disappearing out of nowhere, and the expressions, oh the expressions...

Maya's best quotes/moments:
"Even I bleed red"
"Fate is against me!"
"I am a demon that lives for vengeance".
"It's my true desire to be killed by you!"

Also, shout-out to Taku for being simultaneously the most progressive and the most regressive person in the story XD

This really had everything, didn't it? Distant parents, creepy neighbours, horseback riding, tarot readings, passionate forbidden romance, teen rebellion, incurable diseases, scars from a tragic past, revenge murders, animal sacrifices (for the cause), incest, comphet marriage and inescapable fates. Just what is there for anyone to miss!
Someone commented that it was long, but honestly, it was too short. This could've been the plot for two hundred episodes of a brazilian soap opera lol. (And I thought Onii-sama e was melodramatic...)

I'm absolutely adding this to my favourites list, it was gold—haven't laughed like this over a manga in a while. Definitely gonna read it again.

Okay, I know you can't really expect a psycho serial murderer to actually think rationally, but... His whole purification theory makes no sense at all? If murdering someone is what makes you a monster, how is murdering more people going to turn you back to a human? Like, his twisted idea of drinking "pure" blood would make some sense if, say, someone else procured the blood and offered it to him? But him killing more people in the process of purifying himself is self-contradictory.

This depends on whether he makes a distinction between one murder and one hundred murders. One could take the stance that, one or one hundred, a murderer is a murderer. This would mean that you don't need any more purification for one hundred murders than one murder.

Sure, but. He claimed that it takes two years for all the cells in your body to be replaced, didn't he? And the plan was to consume "pure" people in the meantime, so that his renewed body would be human again. If we accept that the "pure" blood cleanses his body, then wouldn't it be corrupted again with the next murder? Even if the number of victims doesn't play a role in this, time absolutely does —he did bring it up on his own, after all. What I'm trying to say is, following his "logic" of replacing his impure body cells with human ones, the two-year time frame should be reset each time he murders another person.

I liked how chapter 28 was constructed, with the reveal that the serial killer was only responsible for a single death in the Kurosu family shown parallel to Natsuki (hopefully not) getting caught up in Tokiko's curse(?)
I really hope she doesn't die, though.

Really looking forward to this arc to be finished, I can appreciate some angst, but this isn't why I started this, the tonal shift is a bit too rough

I kinda don't want this arc to end, to be honest... I mean, I can appreciate the fluff, but somehow I just love suffering protagonists, hehe

Setting my angst cravings aside, I honestly thought it was taking everything a bit too lightly before, this was something that needed to be addressed at some point. Not that light-hearted works are bad or anything, I just felt like this one lacked that something that would make it memorable, I guess? (Although the "bulying" was fun, I admit.)

The japanese seem to think that putting your fingers in someoneäs mouth is just the hottest thing ever.

For someone with an oral fixation, sticking your fingers in their mouth is absolutely something really hot.

As someone with an oral fixation, I can confirm that this is indeed hot

As someone without an oral fixation, I can confirm that it's hot regardless. It just is.

So we all agree that sticking fingers in the mouth is very very hot?

I concur.

Totally clicked on this just for the Finger Licking tag lol

Volume 7 of the novel came out in English yesterday. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The gayest one yet.

Ahhh don't remind me!!!
I'm waiting for the Omnibus 3 I've ordered to be delivered, so that I can reread 5 and 6 before moving on to vol. 7 and the wait is killing me...
(I'm also kinda in the middle of university exams... but that wouldn't stop me lol)

So far, from what I’ve seen, this is the first time Mitsuki shown with 1/3rd of her eyes colored in lime green as she may possibly be having crush feelings on Aya?! Bc Aya is shown with full colored lime green eyes in chapters 2 (falling for Mitsuki) & 5 (giving phone number on her hand). It seems like Mitsuki likes to be remembered by Aya ;)

We've actually seen Mitsuki with green-colored eyes in chapter 6. I think it could just indicate happiness/excitement and not necessarily love, but yeah, she definitely liked to be remembered

There's a one shot i've read where the awkward mc has a dating profile and her picture there is her driver's license or ID. It was pointed out by the woman who she met up for a date, saying it's rare or something thats why she messaged her. This is recently and I lost it so can't find the title :(((

I gotta say, I think like 50% of the reason that people are confused has to be due to sub-par translation, I sometimes feel like I'm having a stroke whie reading this.
Also lmao at Watanabe's wish, it's like it's from some completely unrelated fantasy story where the existence of the world is endangered by some ancient beings trying to destroy the fundamental forces of nature. (I get it's probably meant to be something along the lines of the school keeping its vibe, but the translators strike again).

I don't think that had anything to do with "the translators striking again" tbh, it seems fairly in character for Watanabe both to have this sort of wish and to phrase it exactly like that. I do agree that the translation probably plays a role in the general confusion about the side characters, but then again, I have to admit they're all so bland that I doubt they'd be much more memorable even if the translation was perfect. I've kinda come to like Sana though, she's fun.

I don't remember if it is a series or a one-shot, but there is a popular girl who is interested in a girl who sticks by themselves. The two start getting closer when the popular girl finds out the loner girls has been going over to an older girl's apartment to watch her star projector. The popular girl joins her and develops a crush. They get together after the popular girl gets jealous because she thinks the loner girl has a crush on the older girl. The older girl is actually dating a different character though-their teacher or something of the sort. I read Ohsawa Yayoi's [Our Date that Night] and it reminded me of this.

It's a one-shot:

I feel like what I find most infuriating about the president, perhaps even more so than his gross life theories that other people have already discussed, is actually his face. This author really has a knack for drawing gross expressions on gross characters, don't they? And you know, I don't really mind it when he has this sort of murderous expression, but this makes me want to punch him so hard!

(He reminded me of the fish fella from Walk to Death, still can't get over his nauseating face either...)

Mom, I'm Gay
Uchi no Musuko wa Tabun Gay, I had so much fun reading this one.
Pan Focus, I don't remember if there was a coming out plot in this one but the story was about coming to term with you sexuality or something like that.

There are also the Legend of Korra comics.

Heartstopper (the comics) is all about coming out, at least the first volume.

There's "Love, Simon", a mlm movie.

The mom in "Crush" (2022) on Hulu is like super supportive to her daughter.

"Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga" on Netflix is a lesbian Bollywood movie where coming out is one of the main plot.

Thanks a bunch, I'll check them out! I've already read the first one and it was pretty good, I hope I'll like the rest too.
I haven't heard the best about the Legend of Korra comics, though, are they any good? I know the Last Airbender comics weren't as good as the series (the ones I read at least) ...But I guess I'll still try them anyway XD

Anything where older queer people support/guide or simply create a feeling of solidarity for younger queer people discovering themselves? A few examples I can think of off the top of my head would be Shimanami Tasogare (which is great btw, highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't read it), that café owner and Sayaka in Bloom Into You or even the school nurse and Shiki in 14-sai no Koi.

Supportive (presumably) non-queer family members are cool too. For example, the uncle in The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn't a Guy At All, Yuu's sister in Bloom Into You (god, I love her so much), or Tong Tong's mum in That Time I was Blackmailed By the Class's Green Tea Bitch.

Also, any stories that involve coming out to family or friends? No matter whether it's taken well or not in this case.

Manga/manhwa/manhua/webtoons are all welcome. Novels (and maybe even movies?) too. My preference would be stories with wlw, but anything else is welcome as well.

I was wondering, is the original language of the comic Japanese?
Because the characters and places have Korean names, but they use terms that (as far as I know) are exclusive to Japan, like the "nee" in the last page.

(Also, from what I heard, Tima is Korean. I assume that is true given by the Korean terms in this comic.)

From what I remember from an older post by the scanlators, the author is bilingual and the comic is published in both Korean and Japanese. The scanlators use the Japanese version, hence the use of these terms. So yes, the original language in this case is Japanese.

I’m a bit confused, Sana is in love with Yoshioka right? just from that one interaction towards school? and Yoshioka at the end of this chapter misunderstood that for loving Watanabe with the “my love is greater” line.

But Yoshioka said something about Watanabe feeling the same for Sana? but where in the convo did she get that idea? did she only hear that one line?

Maybe I’m dumb but this manga is kinda hard to follow sometimes, I called twins early in the chapter because of the personality switch yet I still end up confused by the execution of the misunderstandings at times…

Honestly, I forget most of the names, so I had a hard time figuring out some stuff at first too, but basically what happened was:

Sana wasn't referring to Yoshioka, but her sister. She said that "her love [for her sister] is even greater [than Fujiyama's]" (Fujiyama is the one with the closed eyes). And Yoshioka, who happened to hear this, thought that Sana was responding to Watanabe's confession by saying "My love is even greater", as in, she assumed Watanabe had already said that she loved Sana and that was Sana's response.

I hope my explanation made some sense.

Though having read Satsuki is a liar. that might just be a trait this author gives to their main characters.

True, though Tokiko's eyes are quite different from Satsuki's. The former's exude this air of mystery and smugness, while the latter's seem earnest and kind. So while the long eyelashes are definitely something the author likes, they use them in a creative way that really compliments their character designs.

Plus, they're cute, so I'd appreciate them even if they served no purpose at all XD

Wow, alright -- what a way to build community! What's wrong with trying to connect with others who share a keen interest with this manga and create more of a fluid discussion? Sounds like you're just a ~bitter queen~ looking to create hostility and discord (no pun intended).

Also, my pronouns are she/her.

Psst wlftchtr82 ... don't look now ...
You mistook your sockpuppet for your main account ...

What happened??

wlftchtr82 created an account only to call for our forumites to leave Dynasty and go to his Discord server. He also made a sock account, trikotri, to voice support for himself. Maybe he made more: trikotri is the one obvious sock, you just have to take a look at the posting history to realize it, but there are others very recent accounts (all created in the last weeks) that have been playing chorus to wlftchtr82 and may be socks too.
H A U S warned us about wlftchtr82 and "his" spin campaign, to which wlftchtr82 replied with insults and claimed to identify with the pronouns she/her. However, in his hurry, he messed up and posted the message as trikotri... with the hilarious result that we now have at the top of the page the post by H A U S talking about wlftchtr82 and immediately after that the post by trikotri replying "how dare you talk about me like that" which truly is worthy of a laughing gif. XD

Wow, okay. Interesting how you decided to "explain" what happened by repeating baseless conspiracy theories and deliberately misgendering a person (like, even if the whole thing about the accounts were true, why would that necessarily mean it was a guy who did it??). You obviously didn't really follow the discussion if you thought that the first person answering to H A U S's post was somehow proof that she supposedly messed up her accounts. And regardless of who these accounts belong to, they weren't really hurting nor "insulting" anybody (and certainly not by "claiming to identify with the pronouns she/her" lol, what is even your issue with that?)

Yeah, if I were to write a fanfiction at this point, it would be about how Yuzu and Mei break up, that's pretty much where the story is. Mei doesn't really seem comfortable with any of this, like she's sure she made a mistake and isn't comfortable with having ruined her arranged marriage. To her, being a lesbian was just a fashionable fad that broke off from her taunting of Yuzu. Mei isn't gay, y'all, but Yuzu is.

I can see Mei finally getting the bravery to confront Yuzu and explain that she's actually straight and not into this but she's sorry about leaving their relationship so suddenly and then letting her down easy.

That's honestly the canonical headspace of this manga right now. I'd like to see Harumin admit she's a lesbian though. And then the confusion that Yuzu being single and out-gay causes for Matsuri. That would be spicy.

Then we could get a love triangle and Mei's straight adventures as a typical Japanese arranged housewife while Yuzu goes through the new gay lifestyle and gets torn between Matsuri and Harumin (who both have heavy sexual/emotional yearning for Yuzu).

I think that would be a lot healthier than what transpired at the end of OG Citrus and make new Citrus a lot more exciting. Mei was always the author's 'crush from afar'. The way the author is writing her makes me think she's guilty having projected her as gay. So make her straight, break them up at last, and let's get a love triangle going.

Harumin is by far the most interesting character left, but her and Matsuri and Yuzu could make a really nice gay burrito. Mei's not into any of this, it turns out.

Maybe Yuzu's mom could get a date as well?

Without interviews I don't know what the author is thinking, but Mei's regression isn't natural at all.

I can't tell if you're being serious or joking here...

And just as I was thinking the sequel couldn't possibly be any worse, this happens. Just what the hell is up with this whole thing?! It feels like a very weak attempt to make a Kodama Naoko type of story, only nothing really makes any sense and it's all just a bunch of bad tropes that lead to an unsatisfactory ending.

This was probably one of the worst one-shots I've read in my life.
