The city of Bath is notable for being the location of the famous Gay Street.

BTW Vhuzompha is an actual Lovecraft creation.

I'm afraid not.

I re-read this in case there were any clues about Miko that I missed the the first time around. If there were, I missed them again... However, it turns out that Hinako's scars were clearly visible right from the start - or would have been if the screen tones hadn't been all messed up - not to mention that she even shows them to Shiori here. So much for my memory of events. Also, they're from lacerations, not burns, not that it makes much difference. Though we can also see that Hinako doesn't have any particular reason to keep her neck covered up, and maybe not her legs either, so make of that what you will.

As a bonus, I figured out that the action takes place in the city of Iyo (伊予), if I've deciphered the summer festival poster correctly. An unremarkable seaside town, apparently.

Toilets that are just Holes in the ground can go burn

From Spike Milligan's autobiography:

Sanitary Orderly Liddel was learning the trade of maintenance on the out door hole-in-the-ground latrines. The lime powder that is normally used to 'sprinkle' the pit, had not arrived. He, being of an inventive turn of mind, mixed petrol and diesel and used that. Dawn! Enter an R.S.M. pleasure bent! He squats on pole. Lights pipe, drops match. BOOOOOOOOM! There emerges smoke-blackened figure, trousers down, smouldering shirt-tail, singed eyebrows, second degree burns on bum

Landlord's daughter just made me realize that since Nakano doesn't care anymore, this series essentially became "There's Weird Voices Coming from the Room Upstairs!" for the people living on the lower level

Which leads on to the sequel: "There's Weird Voices Coming From The Apartment Building Across The Street!"

It escalates from there.

It's wierd no one ever talked about how mc wears a turtle neck everywhere but it's probably obvious since she's suicidal and at some point she attempted to kill herself

It was actually mentioned a few pages back. It's to cover up the burn scars, which you can get a glimpse of here.

Are they seriously raising their daughter on only lewd books?

They're short and generally avoid complex sentences. A perfect way to learn Japanese.

^ And Dirck makes 4.

Edit: Well that's weird. Dirck was removed, but bswriter, edmundlundquist & madisoncarr are allowed to remain?

More likely the staff don't know they're posting here because no one bothered to report them (which I have now done). I assume Dirck was brought to their attention separately.

Not sure why everyone is hating on this. There's room for lots of stories in queer media and allowing for ridiculous situations such as this is a part of it.

Not being down on anyone for their reactions—they are what they are—but, yeah, some stories are obviously intended to reflect social reality to some degree, and others, like this one, are like patchwork trope machines, where the author assembles mismatched sets of pre-fab narrative components and sets them running to see what crazy things will happen. (That “Lots of Tsundere Twintails” story—which seems to be gone from Dynasty—would be one example of the latter.)

You had me worried for a moment there, but it's still here.

(I used to do something similar with chemistry sets when I was a kid—I’d perform the first couple of experiments like the instructions said, then start mixing things together to see if anything would explode.)

Sadly, the chemicals they provide you with are specifically chosen so that can't happen. At best it might fizz a bit en route to becoming a nondescript greyish-brown substance. Stil, it keeps the kids away from the actual hazardous substances in the cleaning cupboard.

Meanwhile, back in yuri manga land...

Why are all these "cute girls sometimes do the random hobby that's in the title, but usually they're just recycling each others vaguely humourous almost-jokes" 4koma manga so interchangeable? You could swap any two characters between any of these casts and nobody would notice a difference.

I'd disagree with the "all", but sadly I don't think this particular series provides a counter-example.

However, here's a little snippet of information for anyone who's curious about the identities of the asteroids shown on the volume 3 cover (admit it, you were desperate to know, right?). At top left: Itokawa. At top right: Ryugu. They're not just chosen at random; both of them have a Japanese connection, having been the targets of JAXA sample return missions. (The one at bottom right is Vesta. I seem to recall that it got a mention somewhere in the story, but I could just be imagining it. I already forgot most of what happened...)

Speaking of sample return missions, if you think the girls are cute, wait until you see the space probes:

Now that's what I call moe!

[volume 3 cover]

Y'know, I can't quite figure out why, but the "NIKU" t-shirt seems to be suggesting something. Hmm...

But why fish meat? I mean, when have you ever seen haddock breast on a menu?

^ This one could go that way, mind you. With the girls discovering each other's secrets, and the actual MC remaining completely oblivious.

I love how the have matching rings.
Also does a tag for a idol or model protagonist exist?

Yes, there's an Idol tag. She doesn't really do any idol stuff in the story though, so I'm not sure if it qualifies.

It's becoming clear that the author has a liking for somewhat ridiculous premises. And I'm not talking about the whole "seeing love" business, which I think made a pretty good basis for a story. But the student council taking responsibility for solving everyone's romantic problems? Even if they can recruit a supernatural love detective to their side, does that really fall within their remit? Having said that, it could turn out to be rather entertaining... or utterly moronic. I suppose time will tell.
