Huh, it's not impossible. Motokura could be an unkempt Rinarina who hasn't styled her hair and wears glasses. Or she could be a new character. But there's no uncertainty that she will play some important part in the story or else she wouldn't have been introduced the way she was.

^ Also don't forget all the hosts/hostesses bars & clubs that are so common and widespread in Japan. A lot of them are drag venues with pretty boys dressing as girls (catering mostly to men) and handsome girls dressing as boys (catering mostly to women). How far you can go with the workers varies depending on the locale's rules.

As a matter of fact most Japanese clubs don't have a "men only / women only" policy; they will service whoever walks in. I recall a yuri mangaka once wrote a short story telling how she and a few colleagues (yuri authors like her) visited a stripper club and the girls who worked there were very happy to service them.

It's just about the only medium I've read where people consistently enter private residences or facilities without knocking or making any effort to announce their presence so they can conveniently see the most dramatic/sexiest thing possible happening at the exact moment they enter.

I recommend "Ménage à 3" by Pixie Trix Comics.

PTC have eight or ten different webcomics at their website, but Ma3 is their most famous one (plus it's already completed) and the joke about somebody opening a door and surprising people in the middle of sexy things was featured often.

In fact it happened so many times it became a staple, lol. It even happens in the very first page of the webcomic:

Man the senpai and her concept of running out of time. That hit hard. That kinda shit can pile on you until you don't know what to do anymore. If your partner isn't on the same pace as you then it's gonna be disastrous. First hand experience. Quite rough.

People were talking about her voice, but honestly I think the reality is that Mitsuki doesn't talk enough to Aya at school for Aya to really have evidence to piece together "hey, record shop boy sounds a lot like that girl from my class."

The way I see it, we needn't analyze too deeply. It's like debating why doesn't Lois Lane ever realize that Superman sounds just like Clark Kent.

I mean, they did actually address that in the 1978 Superman movie - there's a change in the way he speaks and his body language when Clark Kent becomes Superman. It's neat to watch in motion though.

I imagine it's a similar deal for Mitsuki, hence why the times where Aya feels like "She seems like the guy at the record store" Mitsuki's doing something that's uncharacteristic of how she usually acts.

The difference in postures that Mitsuki has in the character profiles between "at school" and "at her part time job" seem to show that she has a different atmosphere/feel/aura (whatever you like to call it) at each place and so helping the perception of her being two different people.

Yeah, it's a fantastic way to get the point across. Particularly with all her piercings in and her style leaving her particularly androgynous compared to her high school "persona" could make it difficult to correlate them except when she breaks character.

The illustrations do drive the point across, hm? Hunched forward, doesn't know where to put her hands, knees touching... contrast with her store persona that totally says cool, confident and in charge.

But in Ch. 8 when Mitsuki is cleaning off the black nail polish from her nails. There's a guitar next to her desk! Which alludes to this one piece artwork of Mitsuki performing in front of a crowd while Aya looks on

alright Garth you're just going for it huh, well you'll need to considering that Yvonne is at this point literally going "I am the sole singular person Elsa cannot be with". Like she's not even going we can't date because we're both women, it's specifically "I'm the villainess and thus the only person on this planet who couldn't be the one for her".

But Garth doesn't know about the Villainess System. Nobody knows, not even Elsa.

If other people knew that some kind of god-like power forces Evie to periodically hurt Elsa, and sometimes hurt her REAL BAD, they would understand better Evie's contradictory feelings.

As it stands, nobody has a clue... and Elsa is just puzzled by Evie's wild mood swings from passionate attachment and possessiveness to trying to push Elsa as far from her as possible. (◞‸◟；)

I think we can safely assume that the manga was axed on short notice, but that notwithstanding, I loved it and the ending brought me satisfying closure!

I feel the same! Tbh the first time I read it (in the Spanish version) I didn't even notice the axing, lol. I was delighted by the happy Sei x Aya end and thought it was a good place to conclude the story since the issue with Yoru had been confronted head on and dealt with as well as could be expected. It was only later, reading the posts by other commenters, that I realized that maybe some secondary characters needed closure to their plotlines...
I guess I didn't like those characters all that much, that's why I cared so little about them? hehe.
