I sure hope there's something about those ears in an upcoming chapter, or this place might end up like:

I mean, sure, I guess. Seems like a natural evolution up from Gokicha.

Story is kind of all over the place...

Is this a joke I don't understand?

Complaining About Things You Don't Like is tedious at the best of times.

I respectfully disagree with you.

I don't think there is a "must-tie-fiction-to-reality" crowd. I think there are people with strong feelings about certain subjects, like lolicon, non-con, or class divides. When those subjects have tags, they really don't have a leg to stand on in a comment section, since they were warned beforehand not to even read the thing. But when there are no tags for said subject, and the lack of the subject's prevalence in the media would probably prevent such a tag from ever being created, people should be allowed to voice their displeasure without having passive-aggressive comments, blatant attacks, or labels like "must-tie-fiction-to-reality crowd" thrown at them.

The FitnessGram PACER Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues.

It's my firm belief that, like GrimEater has suggested, this is the beginning of their honeymoon after this scene.

I think a lot of the time when people see others bashing a certain government (or political choice), they mentally include a non-existent part to the person's argument that goes, "but my government actually good," and then proceed as if the person had actually said that. People can criticize the absolutely massive human rights abuses that the Chinese Communist Party has been a part of without having to acknowledge every single time that yes, (insert country here) also has been guilty of them. This invariably leads to whataboutisms, and the conversation goes nowhere, like it did last night. However, I do think it's best never to assume the involvement of even the worst-acting governments unless sufficient evidence has been given to warrant it, and I never did see that in the case in question from the other thread.

It was fine until Alice popped in after the discussion had already reached its natural conclusion, with people actually agreeing, and unnecessarily shut down the topic by endorsing one of the sides of the argument. If she was legitimately interested in ending the discussion, it doesn't make sense to include such an incendiary comment saying that the other side is right (after, I might add, that we managed to come to agreement otherwise). That is what I was disappointed with.

Alice Cheshire never said Kirin was right, only that the Chinese government is shitty. Are you denying this fact about a government that actively silences dissent, strong-arms democratic states like Hong Kong into submission, and has committed systematic genocide? A government that to this very day refuses to acknowledge the sovereignty of Taiwan?

Okay, fine. Jeez.

Hey, I'm not saying it's impossible. If you think it needs to be a tag, feel free to recommend it. I think the correct thread is this one now.

Can we stay on topic, there is the Café if you want that kind of discussion.

I believe I addressed that very subject in the final sentence of the comment right above yours.

They should have a Horror Movie tag or something similar.

Seems pretty niche of a niche. Is there a plethora of series chapters or doujins that would warrant an entire tag devoted to this? Or even more important, how many people would actually be looking for this tag, and how much relevance does it have in identifying a work? If you look at the "Tags" page under the Directory, there's a comparatively few amount of tags that this site uses. You'd need to demonstrate some pretty strong supply AND demand for a brand new one.

Yes, there are tens of millions of brain-dead dipshits in the US. With our freedom of speech and expression that we hold dear, there isn't a lot that rational people can do to fix them unless they turn violent. Hopefully some of the latest developments here in the US will allow some sweeping consequences that can address many of them at once. I'd like to make one correction: I would have looked up the subject on Snopes regardless of whether or not someone told me it was false, because the very subject just seems so ridiculous.

A lot of this could be fixed if "news sites" would face real consequences for spreading false information. As long as they make money by misleading and blatantly lying to people, they'll continue. Another symptom of the failure of capitalism. But this is moving off the subject of the thread, so unless there's any actual evidence, I'll accept the word of the author in question that it was simply a disagreement with the publisher.

Blanksmall

Point taken. However, the Snopes page for it says "unproven" (leaning heavily towards false) and it took approximately 10 seconds to get that information, so why would anyone except a moron already inclined to hate the Chinese believe some internet article at face value? Any rational person knows not to just believe something that sensationalist media claim. There's sites dedicated to spreading the lie that my country's election was illegitimate, but nobody except brain-dead dipshits believes a word of it. Try not to give internet "news sites" too much credit for what people actually think.

For example, if you were to take English media at face value, China is a nation full of morally degenerate people who will intentionally kill pedestrians after accidentally hitting them with their automobile.

I've never heard of that once in my life. You seem to like to make very sweeping generalizations and present them as fact. This isn't a good look.
