Of course Seju is being tortured. Look at the difference in how she treats Sumin vs how Sumin treats her. The reason why she accepts such treatment though is that she is already used to being disliked/hated. In a way, she might even "provoke" it because people usually feel compelled to recreate their childhood situations with adult lovers, it's the whole self-sabotage concept.

Anyway...the writing in this story is very good, though I feel at the point I am reading the authors already realized they made Seju so interesting that they basically now have to make her unrealistically forceful and manipulative lol So as to try to give the SuminxSungji pair some lipcred. It's painful to watch Seju humiliating herself for love, while Sumin is clearly not into her anymore. People who would still want these 2 to be together are wishful thinkers.

Yeah but i may see Seju treating Sumin like shit too early on but you might not. But hey, the best stories leave a lot to the readers interpretations which is why we don't all see things the same.

Mind you i am commenting on something i feel like i read 2 years ago so it's not fresh in my memory. I just remember disliking Seju for most of the story until she redeemed herself near the end.

So both in my opinion had equal fault in the split that happened, but only Seju accepts blame and is tortured by this selfish girl Sumin for this entire time. If it's true that Sumin and Sungji ended up together, good riddance because Seju deserves someone better. Maybe it's a "story of healing" for Seju not Sumin lol

I don’t know how far you are in the story but both parties participate in the cycle of hurt. Sure maybe Sumin tipped the scales in her favor but later on I think Seju kind of behaves even more poorly. I’m talking about how Sungji gets purposely dragged in the crossfire by Seju when she’s totally innocent and didn’t deserve to be hurt like that. Like Nami said, there’s a way to get truths out but Seju seems to choose ways that are most painful for Sumin to accomplish her goals.

Also Seju admits in chapter 27 to using Sumin as well. Among other things that make it hard for me to agree with the "she was being tortured by Sumin" argument.

I feel like an important plot device gets overlooked in discussions and that is of the torture/curse-mark by Seju's brother/uncle/family-friend (Been a long time since i read this and can't remember his exact relationship)

I'm not sure if it's how the plot device was executed by the author or if readers just don't think it was that important but i always felt it had a big impact on why the story took the route that it did post-cheating.

I don't recall seeing anyone here acting as if Yamada went to pick up dudes. If anything, it's that dudes may try to pick up Yamada. These kinds of mixers have an issue in which unwanted sexual advances are a problem and i wouldn't be surprised if that is what the author was getting at, as fluffy as this manga is.

I think Kase's jealousy is well founded even if i agree that she handles the situation in a somewhat unhealthy possessive way, dating mixers aren't a harmless social gathering.

Im not following the current side stories but for those who are, the series is on hold for a bit while half of TG is awaiting hospital results or something.

I feel like it was a case of TG trying to do too much but in the end not doing enough. Sungji definitely needed to be more fleshed out but i don't think she was completely devoid of personality. She just got placed second to Sumin & Seju in terms of fleshing out in both character profile and story.

Not quite, the group translating was re-releasing the chapters in better quality (specifically better dialogs, more easy to understand because the old ones seemed google translated) but it seems like they stopped doing that, so all is left is the old translation... and you'll miss a lot of impact and important clues, not a good idea honestly.

Lucky for us the history was left where they get back together and the only issue around is the girl stealing the lip stick so I'm just gonna pretend it ended there.

Its fully translated on Tapas, just not for free.

Sun Jing leaving the class reps stuff laying in the street and then mocking him in class over it was the end of my appreciation for her character.

I don't think she was mocking him at all and her reason to leave them was pretty valid i thought.

Though I'm not sure if Yamada changing her university choice just to be with Kase is really touching or really stupid on her part. Well, if said university fits her choice of career it's fine I guess…

Anyway, I'll have a smile plastered on my face for the rest of the day. =3

I believe Lezhin have publishing rights only, which means after the contract ends they can continue on another platform. I honestly just wish they'd start writing a fresh new story elsewhere but then i guess Seju fans wouldn't be happy with that.

What gets me is, if they were going to have a hissy fit about a confession, just what exactly did they think they were publishing in the first place?

I wonder if it's a case of publishers being sensitive to government regulation - or fear of what may soon be government regulations - and trying to mitigate risk in that sense. Given that recently we've seen a crackdown on suggestive character designs in online games, they may be a bit gunshy about stuff like this.

The chilling effect goes well beyond the actual limits of government interference, and companies will often self-censor even further than the actual censorship is designed to cover, just in case.

I could be wrong but i believe the new law about representation of LGBT+ in Chinese media may have come into affect after a publishing deal was already made?

There's no denying that the development between Seju and Sumin is much more substantial and fleshed out than the main couple! (I personally ALSO feel that it was better though)

Even as a non-team pink I'd agree. Says a lot about the artists more than anything else to me, they're better at writing tragedies.

Too be honest though i haven't read any of the new chapters though so my opinion is only based on the original story.

People, Leon really likes Mathilda and Mathilda likes Leon but this is a large age gap. In script they had sex, just look for it but the scene was deleted. In movie the scene is right after Mathilda dress a mature clothes and before she wake up in bed with Leon.

That was in version 1 of the script but it got removed and i think she was slightly older.
