Correct me if I'm wrong... but Rin just warned Kou about the prostitutes in Paris???
I haven't been to Paris, so I wouldn't really know, but I read it as her warning her about thieves or whatnot. Reading it again, that doesn't really make sense either, but I guess they could say "Hey, I'm being nice to you, so you better pay me money" or something? Or maybe it's like those people in Central Park who give you a free CD and force you to pay money for others...? God, why I am overthinking one sentence.
Like I said, I haven't been to Paris, so I have to ask... is it really culturally acceptable to platonically kiss your friends in a public place or is it just like those anime that say "it's fine to kiss your friends on the lips, that's what they do in America!"? Also, is Christine Christina's sister or is that someone else? I think I'm just confusing my characters, but Christina did say she was half-French, right?
Some call it confusing and disjointed and weirdly paced and all that, but I found myself liking it a lot in spite of that. Perhaps it's because I can relate to Nonoka a little bit... I'm a high school senior who's thinking the very same "I'll go to the college I've always dreamed of going to and it'll all get better there" but it probably ain't happening. I'm gonna end up just like Nonoka, really... minus the cousin I'm super close with and the random and the random, sudden sex stuff. I've never watched Monogatari, but I did recognize the classic SHAFT head tilt since I watched Madoka. I've heard the text on a black background thing is a Monogotari thing too, and, to my surprise, I found myself liking the effect. The first time I heard about it, it just seemed like it was a lazy way to save some money... and that probably is why, but, regardless, it adds some uniqueness, I think. I liked the random, overdramatic poses too even if they were... random and overdramatic. I also liked the (I don't know what they're called) shifts or whatever which happened in the wedding dress and guitar scenes. They did seem like they were pulled straight out of an anime or some other TV thing, but it was nice to see it in a manga. And, of course, Yui7's art is as beautiful as it's always been. All of her stories have been a bit meh to me, but the art's been consistently beautiful.
I don't know if it's just me, but I've always felt that Yui7's stories have always tried to give off a... I don't know, aura of a story with an exciting, complicated plot even though they all end up as vessels for tons of sex. That thing where the girl ends up fucking her mother in the past and that other thing with the weird love triangle BS seemed like that to me. It's true for this but to a lesser extent since there's far less sex and far more of an actual story. I liked all of them, but I think that this is the best one of the bunch... though, of course, there's still time for it to crash and burn. Let's hope it doesn't!
Also, what does that Akane-ne thing mean anyway? Is it like a Ayaya thing? From what I recall, it's like a personal pronoun or something, but I don't really know.

I still remember back when I read the first few chapters... the loli vs. maid battle for the heart of whatever the main character's name is seemed like it'd be something truly special... I mean, I guess it could still be, but, as Cannibal pointed out, it doesn't seem like any meaningful progress is being made. Or any progress at all, really. I don't think there's really been any indication that the maid likes her that way since like the first chapter (I might be wrong there though). I'm still holding on to hope 'cause of the scanlator's promises that there'll eventually be more yuri, but, still, that was like a year ago... but, eh, it's also usually funny enough that I'm still happy to read it whenever a new chapter releases. Not a big fan of this chapter 'cause of the het, the tsundere, and the otaku pervert idiot, but, well, I guess it could be worse?
"Melonbooks Exclusive Booklet?" Are the video game industry's accursed practices making their way into my yuri?
Preeeety sure there have been exclusive extras like this for a long time.
So, does that mean I can change this to... are my yuri's accursed practices making their way into the video game industry? You know, I kinda wonder what started all this dumb "exclusive extra" stuff anyway...
Was this dropped? It was coming out pretty regularly until right before the last chapter (a week without swapping).
If I recall correctly, Doki usually waits for the tankoubons (is that what they're called?) so that they can translate the version of the manga with the highest quality... and the volumes of this manga take a loooong time to come out. I think that's why there was a one-year gap between Volume 1 and Volume 2. Of course, I'm probably wrong, so feel free to correct me if I'm off base.
I guess the only thing you can glean from that statement is that Negligee was apparently their best-selling VN... which is why they decided to squander all their goodwill by making a het prequel to that game. Nice move, guys. I do have to wonder if the announcement of that piece of shit affected Galaxy Girls' sales in any way... probably not, but it's an interesting though. Anyhow, Galaxy Girls is probably a pretty trash-tier VN too, but, you know, Blossoms Bloom Brightest actually wasn't as bad as I'd thought it be. I can never say no to yuri yanderes even if the yandere in question only went batshit insane for like the last 10 minutes. Also, polyamory... it kind of came out of the blue in BBB and ended in a bad ending, but it seems like it's gonna be expanded quite a bit in the game proper, and that's good. Perhaps I'll show my support for 'em and buy it some time.
Does anyone have an opinion on whether the game's good?
I didn't expect Blossoms Bloom Brightest to be any good, but it actually was quite nice. Not the best thing ever made, of course, but it was enjoyable and fairly unique. Galaxy Girls is an expanded version of BBB with a bigger budget, so I'd hope that it's better... I wouldn't be surprised if they threw away the whole expanded budget on sex scenes, but, yeah, I can only hope that they spent it on non-porny CGs or a better story or enhanced sprites or whatever.

I am so glad this became an actual thing. I wonder where the 4th sister is? Hopefully writing some yuri stories...
I remember someone saying that one of the sisters in Yuri Family made a cameo in Met My Sister on a Dating Site, so (if that's not one of the girls here, I don't remember what she looks like at all), perhaps she moved elsewhere or something?
One thing about 6 and 7, the music was incredible. As are the OC Remix albums based on both. 9's opening theme was great too.
I wasn't as taken by 10's music, it didn't stick with me in the same way.
Oh yeah, that was definitely one of the few good things I noticed about FF7 while I was playing it: the amazing soundtrack. I still like KH's a bit more, but that's probably only because of nostalgia factor (even if 358/2 Days was the only game I played as a kid, I still freaking love Dearly Beloved, Sanctuary, Vector to the Heavens... all that good stuff)
FF11 and FF14 are MMORPGs, and also generally excluded from such lists.) But FFX-2 is held in very high regard as well on those lists which do discuss the sequels and spin-offs.
I'm probably never gonna play FF11 'cause it's gonna die out by the time I get enough money to pay for the subscription, but I've heard pretty good things about it. I tried out the free trial for 14 and it was definitely a lot of fun; it probably pales in comparison to the better FF games, but it was still quite a fun MMO based on what little I played of it.
The big drawback of those early games though was so little yuri potential. Not enough female characters spending any kind of quality time with each other to base convincing 'ships off. So great for the fujoshi, especially FF7 with its "one bed short" and all, but not so much to work with for us.
I have yet to play FF15, but it doesn't really seem like it's any better than the earlier games seeing as though the entire party is male. I dunno though, maybe Aranea and Lunafreya (those are their names, right?) are actually secret lovers or something, but, yeah, probably not... still, yaoi ain't bad either and FFXV's party composed entirely of men is just as good to me as FFX-2's party composed entirely of women... though both are probably just disappointments in disguise since, at least from what I've read, the Yuna and Tidus and Noctis and Luna romances are pretty important to the plot. I didn't really notice much subtext in 14 either, though that's probably just 'cause it's an MMO. At least we have the fairly recent XIII series though to grace us with some wonderful yuri.

I suppose FF7 is one of those games that are better if you play it when it comes out, not 20 years later. I mean, for a game from 1997, I can't say that the graphics don't look good, but they sure do look abysmal compared to... you know, pretty much anything released in 2017. I did download the Beacause patch or whatever it's called so that I wouldn't have to deal with the horrible translation, but I suppose that a better translation can't really help if I'm not all that interested in the story itself.
Anyhow, from what I've read, the general opinion seems to be that either 6 or 9 are the best FF games... apparently 6's Steam port is not as good as it could be and 9's is spectacular, so I guess I'll have to buy 9 first (unless they've already improved 6's port? Haven't heard anything about it but yeah).
You know, this is completely unrelated, but there are many times when I wish that I had an older sibling or a friend or something who'd recommend good games to me... I was such a dumb kid and I wasted all my parents' money on shitty games like Shrek. I started playing games when I was five in 2005, so I would only really have the chance to play XII (plus the KH games if you count those) back in my PS2 days, but that'd be better than... nothing. And now that I actually do research on games before I buy them, we have no money... hopefully, that'll change sometime in the future, but who can say...

No scissoring as a finisher? No rubbing in impossible positions? No huge double-page ejaculation shots?
How does this have a
yuri
tag?Just chill and enjoy the damn yuri smh
I think you missed Nezchan's point entirely... this thing doesn't have any of that dumbass bullshit, so she enjoyed it much more than she usually would. And I'd agree with her in that regard; reading the Dynasty forums for so long has just made me annoyed whenever unrealistic sex like that stuff comes up... because everyone knows that hentai mangaka make realism a priority. I mean, Mira's stuff is still damn good even with all that crap, but, still, it's nice to have something like this that doesn't include it.
Edit: Dang, I was ninja'd by Nezchan herself!

I wasn't so sure about this thing at first, but it's gradually grown into one of my favorite currently ongoing (or currently being translated at any rate) series. It pales in comparison to Bloom into You or Yuri Mekuru Oshigoto, but it's still a sweet and special yuri thing. I'm still not quite sure what's going on with the student council pres and the supporting characters associated with her, but Nobara, Misa, Yukino, and Yukino's family are all great.
Also, how exactly does one get banned from KissManga of all places, I wonder...?
Chapter 40: "Gorilla girl Nobara" was awesome, Gravity Rush credits page is awesome. Pervy dad was less awesome, Ringo looks cool so far. I do wonder what those manga in the credits page are though... the only one I recognize is Tamamusi's Heart of the Girl. I do see a girl in a wedding dress though, so I hope it's another case of Flip Flappers-esque MATCHING COMBAT WEDDING DRESSES!!! And, oh jeez, is hostel really the right term there...? All I can think of is that torture horror movie, and, besides, hostels are for poor people (from what I've read anyway, I haven't been to a hotel in over a decade) and Nobara's super rich. I can't see her buying a cheap room for the two of 'em.
41: Perhaps Ringo ain't as cool as I thought she was at first glance... also, I can sympathize with Nobara, I don't really know how to eat apple candy either, I'm worried I'll embarrass myself if I ever get the chance to eat it and eat it in a dumbass way or something. Not quite sure why Yukino called that pervy dude "uncle," but I guess it's just yet another stupid Asian thing (as a Korean American who was born and raised in America and never even once visited Korea, I think I can say "fuck Asia" and "fuck America"... I probably don't have the right to say "fuck every fucking country" but I will regardless).
43: Nah, I retract my previous statement, Ringo's cool.
44: Oh yeah, I forgot about this stupid Botan/Shakuyaku thing... thanks for bringing it up, manga. Well, it looks like no one really cares anyway, so I won't either (unless it comes up again some time which it probably will...). The "not being able to meet face-to-face but still loving one another dearly" thing is sweet and all, but, seriously though, what's the point of this system again?
45: "God doesn't exist..." indeed... Aoi is now Minutoh's Spirit Animal (#2), with MSA1 being New Game's very own Hifumi ("Dealing with people is so tiring" or whatever it was she said... it was something along those lines).
OH SHIT, "ACCIDENTLY GET ERASED," YUKINO'S A FUCKING DEMON IN DISGUISE. IT'S SWEET LITTLE DEVIL AOBA ALL OVER AGAIN! I'M STILL PISSED OFF OVER MY FRIEND'S ACCIDENTAL ERASURE OF MY (ALMOST 100% COMPLETE) LEGO STAR WARS SAVE FILE FROM LIKE 13 YEARS AGO AND THE CONTROLLER FUCK-UP THAT LED TO THE ERASURE OF MY (AGAIN, ALMOST 100% COMPLETE) ARKHAM CITY SAVE FILE! FUCK, NOBARA, BREAK UP WITH THE REINCARNATION OF HITLER RIGHT NOW AND RUN AS FAR AS YOU CAN!
Also, what does Yukino's shirt say anyway? "France faces up three times?" What the heck does that mean?
46: OH SHIT #2, WHAT A TWIST.
47: Lolz, Nobara and her dad have that same ahoge thing. I wonder if anyone in real life (that's not cosplaying or whatever) actually has that thing...
50: I was gonna say something about that dude, but it seems like those peeps in the comments have already said everything that needs to be said... I was hoping the blonde dude robdgekke mentioned was the dude who showed up in one panel in 41, but that does not appear to be the case... I have faith in Harushion though, I'm sure the dude's just a cuz or whatever that won't interfere with the yuri, NOT ONE FUCKING BIT, DON'T YOU DARE, BLONDE ASS SHIT ASSWIPE MANWHORE (such eloquence from these commentators).

FF7 is really, really overrated. It's been a lot of time since I played it, but I'm not sure the story will get better, specially if you're bored already.
Yeah, that's what I figured too... I was hoping the characters would, you know, develop more later or something, but I suppose if I'm bored already, there's no point in powering through it.
Fujin's a pretty minor character in FF8 tho.
Ah, I expected that but it's still pretty disappointing... it seems like her FF8 design differs pretty significantly from her KH2 design too which is also slightly disappointing 'cause her KH2 design is great. That said, FF8 Fujin's eyepatch is sweet, so I guess each design has its pros and cons (the con of her KH2 design is that it doesn't have an eyepatch)
If you can master your need for instant gratification, the Final Fantasy games often go on sale. Certainly during Steam's summer and winter sales. They're at least 50% off, and sometimes up to 70% off. I have been slowly acquiring all of them over the course of the past few years during those sales.
Right, I forgot all about them sales. I'm definitely gonna have to buy them the next time a sale hits... now the only thing to worry about is which one to buy first. It seems that all the FF games from 3 to 14 (minus 12 and 15's apparently coming to PC soon) are on Steam, so I definitely have a lot of games to choose from in the future...
I hated SO MUCH of FF8, holy crap. But Fujin was one of the bright spots. Irvine and Selfie too, especially when the latter went bomb crazy. I have never wanted to punch a main character so badly.
Rinoa wasn't much better than Squall tbh, just less angsty. But I swear, after the whole stranded in space scene where they're saved beyond all hope of rescue, and then they're on the Rag and Rinoa asks for a hug AND SQUALL FUCKING GOES "WHY?"
I haven't heard of Irvine before you mentioned him, but it's not like I can ever say no to dual shotguns... he's like Reaper but not Mexican or comically edgy (or maybe he is Mexican and comically edgy, I wouldn't really know). I don't really have much of an opinion on Selphie or Squall based on their appearances in KH and KH2, but it seems like Selphie was pretty much transformed into a generic schoolgirl and Squall retains that emo charm. I can understand why he'd after starring for like 50 hours (especially with that scene you mentioned in mind...), but, in small doses, Squall (excuse me, LEON) seems alright. I hear the KH series kinda butchered the characterizations of quite a few FF characters though, so I'm not quite sure if judging them based on their appearances is a good idea... I mean, I haven't met the Gullwings yet, but who the hell thought it'd be a good idea to make them into fairies or whatever? (that said, I haven't played FFX or FFX-2 so maybe it's a reasonable change?)
Edit: Wait, Irvine doesn't wield dual shotguns... dang, I misread his thing. My awful joke is ruined now! I guess I'll have to go to Halo or Overwatch if I want dual shotguns (Halo does have dual shotguns, right?)

I bought KH 2.5 HD ReMix a few days ago (how could I resist buying a game I've wanted to play for nearly 12 years for 15 bucks!), and I've actually started to get interested in FF6, FF8, and FF9 due to all the FF characters that showed up in Twilight Town. Setzer seems cool and that thing he said before the Struggle match sounded like it was a quote from FF6 shoehorned into the game... still sounded cool though. Fujin's one to two word sentence shtick is pretty amusing, and Vivi is just all around adorable. But, by God, are they expensive on Steam... these games are like decades old, why exactly are they still 10 to 20 bucks? They don't really seem to be any cheaper on Amazon though, so I guess those are pretty much the best prices I'm gonna get...
You know, FFXIII is the only FF game I ever finished which is why it's my favorite... well, I did play the free trial for 14 but that doesn't really count. I've always wanted to play the entire FF series, but I didn't feel like actually buying 'em... good thing my friend let me borrow it a few years ago. At any rate, I think I was more lenient with 13 than others were 'cause it was my first. I liked the Paradigm Shift thing, I liked the battle system, the story was interesting if horribly flawed... it was altogether a very good game. And, of course, there's Fang and Vanille.
You know, this is kind of unrelated, but I have to ask... does FF7 get any better? I won it in a giveaway a few months ago and I played a few hours of it, but it's kind of boring me at this point... I believe I stopped playing it a bit after Cloud's home was destroyed and Aerith got kidnapped. So, does the combat or the story get any better any time soon? I also won Hyperdimension Neptunia in a giveaway but I can accept that thing probably ain't for me... I mean, FF7 has an acclaimed plot but no one plays Neptunia for the plot, I don't think (maybe the "plot" or maybe the yuri but I dunno if it's blatant enough. Based on that dumbass bandage scene, I'm guessing it's just fanservice, but Noire x Neptune has to be popular for a reason...). The battle system seems pretty lame too so far, but being able to walk around midfight's a nice feature.

I didn't even notice that Akko had pubes 'til she pointed out that Diana did not. I guess I'm so used to girls in Yuri not having 'em that I didn't notice she did... it was a nice touch though and it added a bit more humor to the situation, I think. As a teen dude who doesn't really care about sex at this point, I don't know why people shave their pubes or if it's "socially required" or whatever, but the fact remains that pubic hair exists and it's slightly frustrating all these mangaka just flatout ignore it in situations in which I'd assume one wouldn't think to shave (I mean, how else can we answer "does the curtain match the drapes" questions without them!)
Edit: Also, I second Nezchan's comment, the realism and humor and Akko's general idiocy just made this thing all the more special!

Well that was depressing... Somehow I blame the success of NTR (and, to a lesser extent, Citrus) for dragging all of the psychotic and rather disturbing characters back out from the past, where the psychotic variants of "kill your lesbians" plagued us to the point of being 95% of the stuff you could find.
According to the MAL page for Okujou, this was apparently released a few months before Citrus began and two years before NTR began. So, you can't really blame those two for this thing at the very last. Still, in the years since Citrus and NTR began, I haven't really noticed this shift to more psychotic and disturbing characters like that which you've noticed. I mean, hell, I think I'd appreciate a few screwed up characters to kinda change up all this generic moe high school girl nonsense like yesterday's "I Want Her Flower" (I liked it and all, but variety is the spice of life and all)... yeah, not screwed up in the same way as people like this crazy girl and Hotaru from NTR, but, you know, more yandere yuri would be sweet (... has the female senpai been added to Yandere Sim yet?)
@TheLostLight
Here's one DiAkko fanart thing that was apparently posted on the official Twitter. Not sure who either Yoh Yoshinari or Takeda Naoki are, but... uh, well, it's somethin', I'd say.
