^^ That would be funny, but a bit extreme. XD There's this thing called parental neglect in the law. Then again it's easy to forget that adults exist in this series… Seriously, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Seiran's teachers are also students. Their school is like a small, self-governed country.

Then their principal has to be Queen Iono...

So what what wrong with the image in the end? :-/

I feel like thats bad advice to tell her to go home, image if that was your girlfriend, hell even friend! going home would just make you even more anxious.

Well Kim probably thought Guk-Hwa didn't know her that well or something of the sort

No he has motives for sure, let's assume this man is normal and has her health in mind he would want as many friends in the room as he could fit to make her feel secure and safe.

Pretty sure it has been discussed here that Kim is a woman. Also, I have been getting this criminal-like vibe from her the entire time. Not sure if she is involved with organized crime, but she is definitely no stranger to violence IMO.

rivals becoming more involved with each other, platonically or otherwise, is a dynamic that never really seems to get old in my books ^^ good chapter.

The fun thing about rivals is that they are not enemies: true rivalry lies deliciously outside the narrow scope of friendship-enmity continuum.

They are… Though I think that's the first time we've had a couple act so… antagonistic to each other? That makes them all the more fun to follow though. Also, I'm pretty sure Hikari is smiling in that second-to-last panel. >.>

It took me a while to realize that this is what Tsundere x Tsundere romance looks like, except these two are so far beyond the regular definition of Tsundere that they don't drop any regular clues...

"You were the chosen one, Ena! You were supposed to break the angst-melodrama cycle, not perpetuate it!"

Ahem.

Anyhow, so far, I haven't seen any indication that Mishio's ex's suicide had been in any way related to her relationship with Mishio. I'm too lazy to re-read the early chapters, but IIRC Mishio's sexuality was just a rumor, not a public fact, so I don't think they have been publicly outed, causing the ex's suicide and Mishio's attempted suicide. I am more inclined to believe that the ex had hidden suicidal tendencies from the start, and, if anything, the relationship with Mishio held back those plans. This is indirectly supported by her dialogue in the flashback, when she turns down Mishio's request to go to the sea (which I believe was how she killed herself in the end, i.e. by drowning), since it seems to have occurred during their romance phase, when everything still looked storybook-perfect. Of course, from the nurse best friend's perspective, the causality of "friend gets girlfriend -> friend kills herself" may seem obvious, but I agree with the majority here that the nurse taking her grief out on Mishio is not very adult-like.

Jesus. Ena is the most anti-drama character I've ever seen. This girl defuses situations like she's been trained by a damn bomb squad. Yuri needs more professionals of her caliber.

I am pretty sure Yuu Koito had been her senpai at the bomb squad.

Haha, I agree!

You would know, right? ;-)

"It were me!"

I can't help but notice. And I can't understand... I know it is trivial but out of curiosity, what is that supposed to mean?

I am guessing, based on the fact that it is written in red paint next to a crossed-out reference to "The Russians", that it is supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek hello from said Russians, delivered in stereotypically broken English.

This is going nowhere.

I think this is the crux of this manga. If Neeko ever actually experienced any character growth, she would get right out of her rut. That, however, would obliterate the very foundation of this manga's "humor" (i.e. "let's poke fun of the surprisingly attractive shut-in people"), ending it before the author can milk it for what it's worth. On the bright side, if the editors decide to axe it, all of the ongoing "conflict" can be resolved in a single final chapter, unlike with many other prematurely axed mangas.

What old dude? Or are you not talking about the manhwa? Cause the store owner is just protecting if the guy was chasing her, she got to the store on her own.

I'm slightly confused.

I got the impression that the Evil Ex chased Jang Mi into the store, and the owner saw him, causing him to run away? Maybe I misinterpreted the dialogue.

I had and have no intention of initiating an off-topic argument here. It's just this chapter has affected me emotionally on a very personal level, because I have been in exactly the old dude's position before and know how shitty this situation feels. I needed some form of emotional outlet, and TOzz's comment provided a convenient way to express myself while also speaking out against stereotypes. Judging by their previous comments, I do not think TOzz is a troll, but most likely just another person emotionally affected by the events of the latest chapter and therefore just as prone to irrational statements in that state as everyone else (myself included). :-)

Men are trash tbh

Including the old store owner guy who put himself between the girl and the attacker despite being barely able to walk?

Unstable, self-absorbed, and self-entitled people are trash. We guys are okay, for the most part. Though I guess if your only experience with men is yuri mangas, you'd think otherwise.

So the actress basically is playing the role of a snobby actress ... for fun.

Does that also include peeing herself? Hm.

Method acting. ;-)

Nothing to miss. No computers, AIs, or virtual avatars are ever mentioned. Pretty clear that Aki is a school girl summoned to a world she is afraid of and misses her family regularly. She had to deal with pawning her own personal possessions from her world to fund her hopes of getting home, despite depending on those items for emotional support.

There are definitely no video games ever mentioned, only mechanics recognized by the readers.

Hmmm, I guess you are right, but even if it's never stated to be an MMO, most interactions in the story are still ludic rather than social, which is why complex characterization may be so unexpected here...

It is surprising (to me) how relatably human this manga is for a story about level-grinding virtual avatars and video game AIs.

Uh, this is a different world with game mechanics, not an actual game. Monsters are living, not AIs.

Is this canon? I am just asking since I may have missed something. :-/

It's just BDSM. Calm down.

It's only BDSM when it's consensual, and I don't think we've seen anyone consent to public humiliation play yet...

I think the scale tipping over with desire over pride is a clear giveaway.

I am sorry, but that's essentially the argument of "it's not rape if they enjoyed it". :-)

Rather, what it is right now is extreme emotional and social manipulation for the purpose of gratification of one party at the expense of the other's emotional and material well-being.

I really think that this could have been a really fun anime. :( You can pretty much go into a chapter without prior knowledge of the previous ones and still have a good time reading. Akina is also just really, really entertaining hahaha

At some point, one of her friends/classmates needs to tell her that she is by far the weirdest person they know.

B-But... she is not an otaku!!1

Awwww T-T she's so cute, it makes me feel sad ... An unrequited yuri crush

I feel bad for her. Shinozaki is way too gay for Kaede to even register her as a romantic contender. :-(
