The light novels are really worth reading, and not just to get more details on the ghost stories. The first seven have been translated to English at this time.

I've got mine on Kobo Reader (they also do the manga but are way behind what is on here ... Still buy them though to support the author).

Yes the "your Uncle still comes here often?" is what makes me think it's been a while since Kanna been there/talked with Joe

Plus, when Mitsuki says Kanna's English is good Kanna replies "I mean... I've been living there for years now", which would indicate that she's only here on a visit, or at least has only recently returned to Japan.

I hope we get to know more about Kanna and her background.

There are a lot of jobs in the music industry that are never/rarely (?) covered in manga such as; promoter, tour manager, guitar tech, roadie, videographer, all the merchandising side from design to production to sales, etc.
It would be nice to see one or more of these roles get a bit of coverage in the story.

According to their Twitter (via the ever dubious Google translate!) it looks like the author is still snowed under doing the bonus work for the physical release.

Going to guess that the series will restart once the work for the book is done.
