I hope this will be a series where the relationship actually progresses romantically and doesn't just forever stay in the "but do they really or don't they?" mode that most series of this type never decide to leave.

I tagged this as Yuri because it was gay enough for me. Yukiko is part of Shio Ramen as mentioned above and they've done plenty of NicoMaki doujins. The majority of Yukiko's art are yuri themed as well, so it's not too surprising if we do see this getting more and more yuri in the future.

It's pretty much married life until the end of volume 1 and beyond.

P.S. Yukiko and Haru are super fucking gay married couple like on twitter. IT'S AMAZING!

Yes. Yukiko originally drew them as random yuri OCs, and then made a 4-koma series out of them.

edit: I'll note that they aren't exactly the same as back then (Sakurako is a huge perv in those older pictures...) but they certainly have their roots from those yuri collections of Yukiko's.

Any chance for them being translated and get thrown in as extras alongside the chapters? Perhaps a page per chapter? That would be really nice, and that way you wouldn't have to translate them in one go.

It's already been on there for a long time. Futari beya has been serialized on Birz comics since the begining. If you have read the release post you would know that the first tank has already been released in late March.

Nobody in Japan uses that word. It's made up by westerners. I've never ever heard the use of that word not even in Chinese.

Not everybody is the same though. And it really doesn't hurt to be a little compassionate. We all have questions about trivial matters, and we all ask dumb questions here and there or at least once in our life time. OP appears to be quite young judging by her post, so this could very possibly be a genuine question. And above all a lot of people struggle with their identity on a daily basis, so it's really not that great when someone asks a question that they've possibly been struggling with for a while and get a reply like that.

It's all good. AnonBlack recently posted a guide on splitting sentences and sounding natural, and I think it could apply here in the situation of a title:

But as Shima has mentioned, sometimes it's just weird in English. In the case of "xxx na watashi" it's even more so because there is no real way to directly translate that. We've opt in for something that sounds a little better/natural to English speakers. So don't be afraid to change the title to something else that's not quite the same in Japanese, yet still retains the same meaning.

And sorry for turning this into a translation discussion, but I'm just a little excited to be nerdy here. I'm really glad you were able to be open minded about something like this!

I think the word here is used in a sense that's like a teacher visiting a student's home and having a talk with the parents. And skimming through the story, I think the title might be a little more appropriate if it's "Maki-chan's home visits" instead in my opinion.

Also nosebleed I thought you're doing this to improve your Japanese. If this is still true then instead of finding an easier title the next time, you could find a qc to help with creating a title that's more appropriate. There's no shame in getting things wrong. I just can't imagine you to be learning much of anything if you're not trying to challenge yourself and make a better effort to improve--translation or editing.

As for candy, he likes to complain and nitpicking everything. He's not the master of Japanese or scanlating so don't get all upset and scared just because he pointed out something he thought was wrong. It's not really constructive criticism, especially when all you're doing is bitching.

This was a really interesting challenge to translate. I've not had much experience with long-form translation in quite a while, and then I wanted to keep the 'children's book' feel to the language as well...

I don't know about anyone else, but Sekihara's sex scenes are very one sided and I'm not sure if I like that. I feel like most of the stuff I've read are always like one character gets the other one off and then it's either over right there or the one who didn't get off will go off and masturbate. The art is nice and all but that's one thing I don't think I'll ever get over.
