Never really thought about OTPs and they are not really OTPs since I don't care if somebody pairs them differently but here are some of my favorite ships:

I'd say Saki X Nodoka (Saki) but it's not an OTP if it's straight up yuri.

Here it says that a new OVA called Yuruyuri Nachuya Tschumi is gonna air on Februar 18th.

Some people might consider Girl Friends the best yuri manga of all time and some might consider it one of the best yuri manga of all time, but there are only those two groups. What doesn't change is the fact that Volume 2 ended with the best kiss in any kind of romance ever told.
Girl Friends didn't get an anime because it didn't sell well, by the way. Morinaga said so herself, I think.

And when we're talking Miruku-Sensei, we obviously can't forget about Mare.

I read the whole manga as kind of an anti-Class-S thing, really. I mean the manga explicitly started with the talk about a simulated relationship which Class S is all about and gradually moved to actual love. And the mom probably just meant to say that Miu should dress up so that she can get herself into some romance. Most girls are heterosexual so she just assumed, I guess. Even in yuri mangas, I've never seen a mom say that her daughter should get herself a girlfriend.

And I think Miu saying her mom went to an all girls school too was just about her going crazy over the prince of the school, something Miu said she didn't understand in Chapter 1 or 2.

Ichiko and Momiji from Binbougami-ga are great too...

Oh my god, yes. Like, I kinda like that male dude and am okay with the outcome since I knew what I was getting into. But MAN, they would be so good together.

We don't really know, but the narrator is one of the two women and you can't see the het side couple without the two girl so we will still see them often.
And honestly I wouldn't mind the story being centered for while on the het side couple, they are likable and kinda cute together

If I remember correctly, there will be a heavier focus on Jennifer and Alan's relationship and maybe with the other, more established couple but the two mains will be apart of the story still. But the closing of the story will heavily shift back to our two favorite ladies.

Thank you, every doubt has been lifted. I got through the side couples of Aoi Hana, so Sunstone is not gonna be a problem.

however, octave with a likeable MC is good news.

Urrrgh, don't remind me of Yukino. I'm unable to ever reread Octave again cause of her fucking one night stand. Always breaks my heart. And, even worse, Setsuko's heart. :/

As many said, the dialogue/monologue in this manga does flow kinda weird but I guess that could be because the author kinda rushes into the relationship. It's like ten pages for introducing two characters and the setting, as well as having a more or less believable first meeting between them that also has to give a glimbse into their future relationship. Maybe it's gonna get better when the author gets to space out the story a little more.

Anyways, I'm all for yuri with already established couples, so let the flirting begin.

Yep! I love this series, the S&M is properly done and realistic (unlike another unfortunately popular series), the characters are often really loveable and funny, and the art is fantastic, and best of all, it's yuri! :D

So, heard Sunstone is gonna go het with two side couples in later chapters or volumes. Can anybody tell me if the perspective shifts when the het is gonna start or are the two women still gonna be the center of the book?

There's no reason for her remark to be so goddamn vague unless they were referring to a character we already knew about and AGAIN just because Mayu is the girl Takako refers to DOES NOT mean they're dating.

Please keep in mind that that chapter was included in the Vol. 1 tank. If she'd mentioned a specific name, regardless of the name, that would have spoiled the ending.

Jin pretty much spoiled the ending in Chapter one though, with adult Mika still being single when she sees the woman with the kid.

I'm gonna be an eternal supporter of Mika x Mayu, considering they'd be more awesome togeather than any couple I can think of. But let's be honest, it's not gonna happen and it'd be weird if it's gonna happen after saying it's not gonna happen in the last two chapters.

Kinda like how this story doesn't fit with the whole "lesbians only" theme. As Takemiya Jin said, "this manga isn't just about lesbians. There's also bi, gay and straight characters in it." And before you say that it's out of place in a yuri magazine, she also mentions that too.

Rakuen isn't even a yuri magazine, though.

AH! That would make sense with them fusing. I wonder how that dynamic would work considering that even though their hearts were aligned in much the same way by the end of it, still different people. I think we'll get more insight into the Iona-Akira romantic dynamic in the spinoffs considering we've already gotten a solid look at Piriluk (Akira's LRIG)...turns out her WIXOSS life kinda fucking sucked.

Well, I hope there is as much Yuki in there as possible, I liked her more both in design and personality so I hope at least the personality carries through.
I didn't even know that there was going to be a spinoff or do you mean those 5 minute specials? Either way, I'm looking forward to it. :>

Ahhh, two new chapters, that is really tempting. Really tempting. But with Jin being Jin I should probably wait until the extras are finished before continuing so that my heart will (maybe) not be crushed. That het tag scares me like crazy.

It really shouldn't be on the whole series, though.

In spoiler in case anyone hasn't finished it i dunno about it being bleak and depressing...that ending was amazing beyond any belief

The ending was hopeful but not exactly the happiest I've ever seen. And getting there was...

Not the happiest? I mean not the HAPPIEST but that was a damn happy ending. Mayu finally reached peace. All the girls get their lives back. Tama became a girl, and has an implied future meeting with Ruko. Yuki also became a girl, will probably seek out and find Ruko and co. Yuzuki finally gets her ultimate wish granted. Hitoe has friends. Akira can finally be happy with Iona. Eldora finds Chiyori. Hanayo will probably reconnect with Yuzuki. Midoriko finds Hitoe. The other LRIGs live normal lives.

Honestly I was impressed. Most Japanese media falls under the chains of Eastern tradition to not be able to end their stories well (usually they just sorta stop rather clumsily). This had an awesome ending, and I was beyond thoroughly ecstatic with this one.

I think Yuki and Tama fused or something, with Tama suddenly having grey hair and everything. And I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks Iona and Akira are living the yuri life with each other right now,

Are translations wayy behind actual jp raws or was this anime first?

The anime is an adaption of the manga.so it came after. Since it runs in a monthly magazine, it's not THAT far ahead yet though. There are 5 or 6 volumes in Japan right now.

Still a better love story than Yuru Yuri...

Partly due to the fact that Yuru Yuri isn't a love story.

I really like all the Kuzushiro we're getting lately. She really has some of the most creative settings in any romance manga, yuri or not, and quickly became one of my favorite mangaka. For me Love/Death is definitely her best series, looking forward to more.

Mhh, is that the last chapter? I'm usually all for incest but this was the one time I hoped for Shinobu to win. Or for the threesome relationship.

Anyways, I liked the series despite the ending(?), but I kinda disliked this extra. Feels like your typical yuri porn written by some male dude - which is what it is, I guess. Obviously lesbians talk about sperm when having sex.

Because in the end there was very little to no actual development. There wasn't even a realization at the end that what they saw in each other's little sisters was actually the things they loved in each other or anything.

Yeah, but to the manga's defense, that was only because the author didn't know what to do anymore.
It's a shame that there wasn't even a realization but it was a funny ride and I really enjoyed it. I knew nothing would happen because of reviews so I didn't have any hopes, though.

I'd love a series about the second set of sisters, they were even better than the main one.
