I'm reminded of this Akko x Diana comic.

This is probably a weird thing to focus on, but I really like Claire's and Rei's fancy outfits for the etiquette test. In the web novel there wasn't even a mention of them changing clothes. Also Rei getting distracted by the sexy is definitely a mood.

Also, if anyone was wondering this chapter was only adapted from one chapter of the web novel, unlike the previous one that adapted the first six web novel chapters. It's a pretty good adaptation IMO, cutting out a lot of the less important exposition and expanding on other parts. For example, Rei's point about the king trying to make the country be more of a meritocracy facing opposition from the nobles is shown with her getting pushed around by her classmates; it's a nice little addition that wasn't in the original chapter.

I finally got around to watching Ancient Forge's story. That was fun, if a bit confusing, though I'll chalk that up to me being unfamiliar with the myths and legends it was based on/referencing.

I ended up using a guide on AF-8. Ethan/Manticore do work for the big group of the spiders on the right, you just have to place them before they start moving. This doesn't work on the challenge mode though since those tiles are banned; instead just place a well-leveled sniper + healing defender just outside the group such that the defender blocks the spiders coming from the top and that should work. The annoying thing for me was dealing with the spiders coming from the top and moving down; if you have E2 Lappland you can just face her upwards to silence them while also blocking the enemies coming from the left.

No, she does. I think random meant that Shirayuki (and all AOE snipers) get the stat increase + talent + range upgrade at E2, whereas the majority of 4-star operators just get stat increase + talent. So if anything, Shirayuki's one of the better 4-star operators to E2.
