I can't help feeling that, if it's just girl-on-girl, all of this background information is pointless and unnecessary. Especially if you have to include an entire page of notes explaining how exactly your Omegaverse differs from the other guy's Omegaverse, when all you really need to do is give one or both of them a penis and let things follow their natural course.

After reading chapter 8.2, my take on this went from "this is obviously popular, so the author introduced the business with the student council to pad out the story" to "this has obviously been axed, and will wrap up with a poly ending in another two chapters or so." As for the Akane/Rinna/Mei backstory, who knows if they'll have time to cram that in.

It appears that New Game is licensed. (If I'd known that beforehand, I wouldn't have wasted my time reading it. At least I only read two volumes before giving up, so it wasn't that much time...)

Also, this guy looks like a casino bot that never came back to edit in the URLs.

OK, I did some research and discovered that all of those seemingly disparate elements are present in the actual GaoGaiGar. It really does look that stupid. Though all of the individual parts look just different enough from the original to (hopefully) avoid any claim of copyright infringement...

So, I was just reading Sasameki Koto, and the sequence from the bottom of this page leading in to the next one caught my eye. Remind you of something?

Having just read this, I think the Good Morning chapter was one of my favourites, but also, in retrospect, the point where it all started going downhill. While reading it, and the rest of volume 4 with the flashback arc, it felt like the story had reached a point where the readers would be sufficiently invested in the characters for the author to be able to take some time out and have a bit of a change of pace... but it turned out to be a permanent change of pace, and the initial momentum was never recovered. Rather disappointing, overall.

Also, the way "Akemi" was treated really annoyed me. First she's set up to be a major character, then she drifts out of the spotlight, but keeps popping up again every so often just when you think the author's forgotten about her, until eventually she gets killed off for good with the runway incident... except that she comes back again, and ends up pursuing a successful modelling career despite all of that... And the author didn't even have the decency to pair Akemiya up with someone at the end, to make up for having his heart broken by Sumika. (I mean, you could ship him with Lotte based on this page, but it's hardly solid evidence.) Though having said all of that, I don't know if this particular character was actually treated worse than any other, or if I singled them out due to my own preferences...

Volume 1: Chapters 1-5
Volume 2: Chapters 6-10, 10.5 (this one's currently out of order)
Volume 3 annoyingly doesn't have a preview on Amazon, though both Baka Updates and Mangdex say it's chapters 11-14.5.

Also, the release dates of chapters 11,12 and 17.2 seem to be wrong.

It looks like you can only become a magical girl if your name is already a bad pun with a colour in it. Minami is a compass point (south), so she doesn't qualify.

It can also mean that. In fact, "Minami" (深波) is written with the character for "wave", but the puns in the other names are based on the pronunciation only, not the kanji, so that's probably irrelevant.

By the way, in case anyone was wondering:

Gunjou Azusa - "gunjou" = "ultramarine", AZUsa -> AZUrite
Akaishi Harumi - "akai" = "red", HaRUMI - > RUBY
Minamiya Minami - "nami" = "ordinary" (maybe?)
