Ok, as slightly overused as "deconstruction of heroes and villains" is nowadays, this one shows a lot of promise.
Specially because, while the main cast see themselves as not "good", they still aim to do the best they can without going full edgelords, which in my opinion is quite refreshing in itself.

But this is still Gundam, where the main message has always been: war is hell.
It may not be a kill them all plot, but the possibility of everyone getting a happy ending is extremely low.
I want them to be happy, but what if things go south?
What if things don't happen as expected?

Personally, I try to keep expectations realistic.
NOT low, realistic.

Because this is still Gundam, a story about the horrors of war.
And our cast is about to march right into it.
