I can't root for them, i feel like being one of only who still ship with Mai. Even the author seem to have forgotten their own premise cause Mai is being more and more absent after the fake-out chapter to the point that people even forget who was Mei.
I could have root for them if the premise wasn't Asumi trying to found her childhood friend she had a crush on.I'm waiting to see if next chapter have a prostitute or not but i feel more and more scammed about that premise

Why that comparaison ? I mean, sorry for the language but it's kinda a bullcrap argument because saying there is worse peoples doesn't make it better. It's like saying Tucker in FMA is not that bad because dictators exist. Shiho is a flawed person and so far does everything she could wrong. She is as interesting as watching a train wreck. And pairing her with Hima is like switching a wholesome and fluffy pair to a angsty and a toxic "i can fix her" pair.
The problem is that most people, myself included, thought that after having them going out, we could have wholesome moments with some minor drama and not introducing a drama queen that completly tone shift the manga and take away the time we could had on Hime/Yori.
The thing i saw from your comment is that wholesome manga is clearly not your type and you prefer heavy drama, the problem is that most people her would have prefer the opposite for the manga and i can't blame them because this arc start to feel like a drag and Shiho doesn't really help cause she is doing a lot to be unlikable.

Honestly, I felt kinda the same for Chie originally. To the point where I was kinda hoping the author would pair the two unlikable characters together and then introduce them to Truck-kun. I think it was around when she stopped putting her hair up that I started liking her more. But Kaoru? She's a lost cause.

What ? Besides the very couples of chapters where she appear, Chie has never done something remotely unlikable. Fromall the cast, it's an odd choice of character to hate.

I like this series. However, every now and then, I remember it was written by a man and that spoils it, just a bit, for me. It reminds me that it's just a guy's fantasy about life at an all girls' school. It's kind of the equivalent of the Cinamax sexy softcore porn movies about women's prisons, I use to sneak downstairs late at night, to watch when I was 13.

Sad a man can't do yuri without being tag as fetishist. Seriously, there are yuri hentai artists who are women. And also it's way less ecchi that it use to be and the writing is pretty good. I don't understand why the author being a man should change the way you see it there.
