It could be that she wasn't aware of how she's being perceived and that the prince getup is merely that--a costume for her to wear sometimes because she has the title of 'prince'. This showed when she didn't even hesitate in trying to tell Ev that she was the 'prince' while not in her prince costume.

That was badly put by me; I didn't mean the "prince's" motivation but the artist's portrayal of how "genuine" this "disguise" is. Clearly from the artist's/writer's perspective, judging by in-universe reactions to it, it's "meant" to be taken as people (again, in-universe) potentially getting confused.

Similar to Clark Kent's glasses being "meant" as a disguise that somehow works in-universe. Obviously the reader will know.

Huh, that was the worst cross dressing ever. I mean, anyway, I love this villainess stuff, when it's yuri, so yay!!!

Lol- i agree. How is she fooling anyone like that? Especially with the long hair. She looks exactly like a woman dressed up in a prince's outfit.

tbf the Japanese says "Dansou Ouji"; which literally means "prince who wears male clothes". And as far as the word is used it can be in any nuance; I'd say it's reasonably common that there's no pretense that they are anything but female, simply wearing male clothing, and that's it. So that take would certainly be within the "range" of the meaning.

But given that in-universe the heroine seems to be surprised I guess it was meant to be fooling people, if not deliberately then at least accidentally.

The data McGuffin is kinda stupid, let's be honest. There's roughly 7 billion ways to handle something digital better than "give it to some guy we don't know we can trust entirely".

This isn't love triangle, it's love trumpet.

That couldn't have been more cliché and full of tropes. Generic setup, generic one dimensional characters; art is pretty generic too, setting, of course. Blergh.

"No one likes a pushy man." "I've already decided she's mine." ... fantastic writing, too.
... only mildly interesting bit is the crossdressing thing, but that's resolved right away and was ridiculously obvious anyway.

Yeah, poor first chapter.

Quietly hilarious chapter. Nicely done.

It's probably just about the family/uncle's background, but hopefully no "going overseas for some years timeskip" sorta ending. It's been done ... a few times too often ^^;

That was a very "convenient" chapter.

Yes and no.

I was referring to all those things. Daddy Priest deciding to tailing his daughter (having a GPS tracker ready too? And she's just making presents) ... he then easily deduces her daughter's lover is a refugee (I guess every single foreigner is, eh? ^^) ... and then he gets saved by making a call to his daughter which really seems unnecessary.

The only thing that'd have made this even more plot convenient is if he figured out she was the one who confessed to him regularly.

That was a very "convenient" chapter.

now i'm wondering if the priest has some covert history. it seems like he might have some knowledge of tradecraft.

I think the reason he feels like a civilian to her and thus wasn't instantly on her radar is just that he IS a civilian ;)

Rose is a professional, but she might get ambushed

Archbishop seems to be pro-refugees though, while the shady organization (and the country in general) seems to happily abuse them. So I wouldn't be surprised if he sacrifices himself so she can do her job, but gives her a piece of information (or somesuch) that'll turn her against the organization.

When you're chasing a tiger without thinking what you'll do once you actually catch it ...

Or something.

... that tailing scene was nonsense. What was the point of that? If you want to apprehend her, do it right away. If you don't, then, uh, why are you trying so hard to follow her? Everyone's just bored, or what? ^^;

Besides, the thing about trains is that they have known destinations. They kinda are the worst getaway vehicles ...

Yeah, agreed. So far it could have been either way but here it's obvious it's deliberately creating these situations where there's some thin excuse to say "oh look it's not meant that way".

Whether that's fun for more than three chapters is a different question ^^;

The idea is interesting but if you wanna do that give that guy some plausible character development ...
... dunno, guess I'll stay around and see whether any more happens there ^^;

Also, what's with all the "ma'am"s? Weirdly formal.

... is this also going to turn into hard-boiled violence? It is, isn't it?

Also, do real organized criminals usually treat their incredibly deadly killers like shit?

It's yet another tattooed-sorta-yakuza-style victim so the chances that this is some shady government organization that feels above repercussions is steadily increasing ...

Me, on p4: Just for once I want a character to go "what are you talking about?! This isn't some magic trick where the ropes are tied to come loose conveniently! Of course I can't get up!"
The manga, on p5: ...

Okay, you got me. 10/10.

It feels like the telling of this story has become more disjoint. Is there a chapter missing or something?

It's always been rapidly jumping forward. Getting two chapters that are directly following each other is very rare in this series ^^;

Judging a band by their English skills; yeah, guess it makes sense, but I still find that hilarious.

Yeah, taking somebody's glasses and telling them they look shit with them on is the best way to seduce someone; definitely ^^

"Japan's most dangerous city. Just last week, 73 people fell to their death, committed suicide, choked on artichokes, or had fatal accidents with gardening tools. 'It's just bad luck', police officials say. Moving on to the weather ..."

I wonder if we ever learn whom they are killing. Is this supposed to be that sorta "government hires criminals to secretly murder criminals" thing?

Also, is Rose Russian? Sure as hell doesn't look Chinese, but there's not a whole lot of "mainland" that has honkies where you can come from when arriving in Japan as a refugee which ISN'T Russia.

Manga/anime assassins are always from Siberia. It is known.

I'd be more concerned about the grooming if I was her.

There's a reason she's talking to a Catholic priest, obviously. ;)
