I honestly liked that attempt to adapt an accent, and I usually really hate that sort of thing. As far a putting some kind of blame on the translator, I simply can't go that far as they are offering a service for free. Would I prefer it if altered translations were noted as such by the translator themselves? Of course I would. In this case, however, a new translator attempts to have some fun and (collectively) we can categorize it right?

That said I probably shouldn't have chipped in to this derailment, so I apologize for that.

Ill extend to branch and simply say just because you get something for free does not make it imune to critique. Here are a few examples. I make a video about a game/movie i dislike it but i make up points randomly. The video is free on youtube so im imune to the backlash? No infact I could be charged with miss information legal issues. I fix the pipes in your house for free but instead of glue I use gum and it fails in 2 days you have a right to be angry. Just because something was free does not make it immune to the crittical eye in fact it makes it more open because of the ammount of eyes on it. If you are willing to forgive something like that because it was free then you need to accept the above examples because again they are free.

Even more important now its obvious that the authors over in Japan are aware of our exsistance (see isya) if they see a well made translation instead of one that messes with the orignal they will be more likely to work with us rather then just file a dmca take down(again see isya). So you could argue its even more important. Thats just my 2 cents on the matter.

I thought Maekawa was really air-headed and open-minded, but that last page put the entire chapter into a whole different light. I bet 10(figurative) bucks that she is completely aware and pretending to seem "air-headed" on purpose, and that she simply wants to affectionately tease Shimizu and get closer to her. Maekawa seems like a really confident, unfaltering type of person who doesn't get flustered. At least not visibly.

Edit: If Maekawa actually is that air-headed, or rather carefree, then so be it. However, I still feel like she lied about going to the wrong hall. If a ticket is required, then it's likely one won't be getting in at all with the wrong ticket. I'm not sure what it's like in Japan, but the first time I went to a convention there were people at all the entrances and exits to make sure no one snuck in. Maekawa definitely knows more and is more aware than she lets on.

Depends on the convention the bigger ones tend to have security for the security but its really is hit or miss. Also events where product is sold sometimes just dont have a buy in at all. Ive been to a few where only small parts were pay walled but I have no idea how their world works so just take it on the nose I geuss.

It was writent to be in a diffrent accent and kinda took away from the story. It was "fine" in the terms of you could read it but when you add jokes into a plot that isnt ready to accept them you change the meaning of the story. That is only adding to the fact the plot gets a bit lost due to the act of translation so it was not the best. Im sure the person was nice enough but unless your translateing a comedy story where the plot is throwaway at best, adding in comedy is a bad idea (this is not limited to Japanese to English).

I miss this manga. It was perfect to me. It deserves an anime but isn't lewd or controversial enough to get one.

Yeah, yuri manga don't really get anime unless A) they're aimed at straight men, or B) they portray a clearly deviant or unhealthy relationship to implicitly support the cultural belief that sapphic romance is deviant and unhealthy.

Mimika is far too dedicated to making sure her interactions with Yuzumori never cross the line into ones that would be inappropriate for a child of her age to be sufficiently melodramatic.

About half of all anime with yuri elements fall outside those criteria. The simple fact is the vast majority of ALL anime are aimed at strait teenage boys and young men and a large portion of all dramatic romance anime showcase some form of unhealthy relationship. This is hardly a problem that exists only for the yuri genre.

Yuri tends to be a bit less on the generic side in terms of anime probly just because only the standouts get the adaption for obvious reason. That and because there isnt much of it compareativly 3hz makeing 2 good ones in a row makes up for the bad much more then if this was shounen or something.

Since pappilodaemons have been explained to have a cycle of aging then returning to chrysalis form where they regress and re-emerge "reborn" as infants, I'm wondering if in addition to Mizuki being a former bride (it seems pretty obvious to me that's what she was/is), if Iris chose to "die" in her former "lifetime" rather than take another bride, but a side effect of the rebirth is that not all memories are present, or at least not immediately so.

We either live in a world where this has a thought provokeing ending where the girl lives or dies.
Or we get a destiny of the shrine maiden where the big end made me almost die laughing(the entire thing besides the obvious was like that tho)

This may be the series that most combines fluffy lovey-dovey fluff with actual thoughtful takes on issues that these characters would actually be worried about.

One thing to remember is that in this series whenever things get tangled up, there’s always the same solution: they demonstrate to one another just how much they love each other just the way they are,

It alwase gets a laugh out of me when i see them start up some fairly serious drama then just repell it with their almost dagerous amount of love for each other.

How big was the time jump? Big enough to cover any plot holes.

There should be a timer/clock given in a series to let readers know that readership is lacking and the publishers are pulling the plug (ending the series whether mangaka is ready or not).

Indeed. Nothing wrong with drama. Juxtaposing it with fluff makes it kind of interesting if only it were executed well.

This tension doesn't really feel earned. It just seems like it was thrown in there on a whim and it's also ending on a whim. Not like I want this to drag out but it didn't have the emotional impact a backstory of those extremes should have.

This reminds me of Kannazuki no Miko easly one of the worst things I have ever seen but himeko hard carried into being atleast decent. If we let that one get away with: shoehorned het, forced drama, giant random mech battles(seriously wtf) , time line bs, random drama arc, nonsenicall characters, rape, and being reborn as twins and still say it was good. I think we should forgive abit of a wonky misplaced drama arc but that is just my take on it.
