So... How does anything in the finale fit with Marika's initial compulsive desire to be "normal"? Did the story just forget her whole shtick by the end? You'd think these backstory revelations would clarify or tie back into her starting point in the story, but they seemingly don't, so...

Since I'm already here anyway, my 2-cents is that bf's overall trend of throwing out negs and microaggressions very likely counts as verbal abuse, not even touching the ambiguous consent incident, but the relationship overall is so co-dependent that I can only see Midori as a victim in-so-much she's a victim of her own dumb choices and utter lack of a backbone.

So yeah, I'll ride this train-wreck of a story to its inevitable conclusion, but for me the Good End would be Maki finally moving the fuck ON!

She's the only one of the Gyaru Four that didn't bully or badmouth people.
She even made the effort to befriend her crush's crush, compared to Fujishiro being a jealous wreck lately.
Calling her an antagonist, let alone evil, is ridiculous.

I agree that the death of Alyn was a massive plot contrivance, though. Comes out of nowhere and doesn't follow much in the way of logic.
