Except futa is rarely, if ever, presented as a transgender. It's fetish material, pretty much solely produced for porn. If there was trans presentation, I'd have a totally different reaction to it.

At best, it's fetishizing trans bodies.

I would agree. That's not to say that futanari manga can't make for really titillating porn, which I'm still a fan of, but it doesn't really ever delve into issues like dysphoria.

Anyways, this manga was alright. Not much to say here. I always see people complaining about futa in the forums, but this site even has het on it, so just don't read it if it's not your cup of tea.

As a fan of futa, I take offense to that.

Anyways, since so many yuri stories are focused on high school-age characters, there's a tendency for them to make irrational, emotionally-fueled decisions. It's a common criticism I've seen in discussions, but I think that people often misunderstand the way these characters are presented. Teenage characters make rash decisions because that's what teenagers DO. The character doesn't have to make the same decisions you would in order for you to understand and even like them.

Luckily, it seems like people are able to sympathize with both Rui and Reika. Which is great. I just want people to keep my point in mind.

Good shit. This series is all about exploring the growth of these characters, and it's got beautiful art to boot. Easily becoming one of my new favorites.

Well, I think you got what I meant. Mangakas just draw a beautiful female character and say "this is/was a boy". The flower is a perfect example. There's nothing in the middle.

I think mangakas have a hard time depicting non-perfect-looking people in general.

Sometimes ya just gotta stop thinking about the story and read some porn.
