The episode was well animated, that's why that...thing sliding across towards "Diabolo" was distracting. Did you not notice it? Right before the final muda?

It's not an "obsession with bad animation", I wouldn't complain if it was an in between frame or something, it was out for WAY to long right before the climax. I was so invested before the tweening Gio, no idea how you can defend that. It is a "we'll fix it on the Blue ray" kinda moment and it sucks.

^I didn't mean physically. Let's leave the game mechanics aside and just go by lore. Grea fought shadow monsters to protect the academy for a long time and eventually succumbed, but Anne cleared them out with ease. Her magic is simply ludicrous and her summons are all legendary heroes.
Even with her true dragon powers awakened, Grea is no match for a real ancient dragon. Anne is viewed as the greatest magic prodigy in the entire kingdom and she isn't even nearly at her full potential yet.

I'd say if Grea was really quick and got the drop on Anne she could probably end it before the fight can really start, but in a fair duel, Anne has the upper hand.

1. It looks more natural than freaking mosaic or censor bars.
2. The artist's vision is realized. Unlike when they are forced to censor it.
3. Censoring porn is asinine. We shouldn't even have to compare them, censored porn shouldn't exist period. It's porn.

Look at this way... if two people kiss do you want there to appear a giant mosaic over their mouths? Because that is what censoring porn is.

What do you mean? The animation was gorgeous this episode. I mean sure... GER and Giorno floating in the air is pretty dang weird, but GER looked great. King Crimson was awesome too. Bruno's ascencion was beautiful.

I mean... I get the general idea you're going for here. It's true that keeping something on is seen as sexy to a lot of people. Like lingerie can be sexier than full on nudity sometimes. The allure of the hidden thing can't be underestimated.

But when you see a sex scene... ya know. There is sex happening. Body parts are involved. Giant mosaic is not sexy. Giant mosaic takes you out of the moment. It is just so artificial and simply impedes the artistry. The artists don't want to censor their work, they are forced to.
It's like telling the audience they aren't allowed to see something so natural. And it's completely asinine in porn. Why are we censoring something that you inherently cannot watch if you're below the required age? Something that isn't in any way harmful to the mind anyway?

So the premise of this one is an utopian alternate reality story where lesbians are allowed to marry all across Japan.

Chapter 1: Extreme Drama Queens waste years of their lives thanks to lacking communication skills.

Chapter 2: Extreme Drama Queen gets fed up with sloppy GF, but then rebounds harder than a bullet from a rubbertank.

Chapter 3: I'm actually more interested in the moms. Childhood friends who got married to men, had children and then divorced to marry each other many years later. That's pretty dang rare in yuri, but very likely in real life.
Of course the not-sisters were also amazingly cute. Pretty sure that "marriage" was not legally binding tho.

Chapter 4: Incredibly determined grade-schooler racks up travel bills to remind her crush that she isn't allowed to cheat on her. Phones are overrated anyway. Also did I read that right? "Mothers" Plural?

Chapter 5: Time loop? Are we in a time-loop? This timeline makes no sense... In chapter 1 Kimiko was crying about the idols getting married, but then at their wedding they gave the flowers to Hinako and when Hinako got married the mothers of the pesudo-sisters were there with them as children and then it said 7 years later. But the pseudo-sisters in high-school were talking about their friend who went to America (also in high-school) who then came back to make sure her crush didn't cheat, but when she went on the plane back to Murica it set up the TV event for the idols to come out...

PS: This was the cutest thing ever and moe-shock killed me. Best chapter by far.

Chapter 6: The most useless of lesbians (Is there really a tickling fetish...?). Also blackmailing is a crime kids.

Chapter 7: Twintails is too dense to figure out relationship dynamics of girls she spent an entire year with. Cutting her hair reduced her density by 20. Happy end?

Chapter 8: Ugly crying while stuffing your face with too many crepes is sexy. You will definitely be noticed.
Also being extremely persistent to the point of guerilla ambushing your crush is endearing. Rita's pretty cool tho.

We did get some info from those files they dropped for no reason.

For one, yes, they noted her as female, which is unecessary in a world with only women. Which just proves that they were doing research on connecting to other worlds were men actually exist.

Secondly (and I don't know if this was a typo by the translators), the girl in the file is called Uuruno Mariko. Not Marika. Considering that she calls herself Marika and all the people from yuri!world also call her Marika, I guess that must have been a mistake.

Some of those plot contrivances though.... Of course the facility gets flooded just as they are there. Of course some suspicious former researcher/subject has been waiting there patiently for years to observe them just in time.

Overall this didn't really change my theories. It soft confirmed them. The Marikas were switched for some experiments in childhood, which is where Lily met the normal!Marika and then they were sent back to their original worlds and the research stopped for some reason.
The alternative is of course that they stayed swapped which is why they have the wrong sexualities for their respective worlds, but eh. We'll see.

Well no, that is not a yuri specific thing. It's the most common thing in all versions of romance, from het to yuri to yaoi. That's just a popular story structure.

interestingly, my favourite yaoi (actually one of the very few I like), Mainichi Seitan, does a lot of "what happens after they get together. There are three couples during the series that get together at different times, but the ones who were already dealt with are still shown either working through their own relationship issues or simply being together as couples while the next focus is doing their thing.

Come to think of it, Dykes To Watch Out For was/is like that too, where couples get together, spend time as couples, sometimes break up and new couples form, etc. and it continues being interesting. The big cast and ongoing format helps a lot.

I tend to avoid yaoi, so I have to take your word for it. The little BL I read was of the "will they/won't they?" variety. Or subtext.

That second one sounds more like a long running soap opera format tbh. They do tend to have some fluctuation between couples in those. And when the ratings go down: Boom Sudden break-up.
