Anyone knows some comedy movies with happy ends?

Yeah that's what I was thinking, all this definitely lack of light hearted story/romance. Sometimes not always being worried (with good reasons) that the girls will never end up/stay together can be great...

The only comedy that comes to my mind is Gray Matters, but they don't end together.

I'm pretty sure the change Yuki missed (because she fell asleep) was exactly that Reika's finally showing clear signs of desiring her.

Takemiya's work is amazing as always! Things're always hard when you still care about the person after the breakup...

Not so much about the moving on part, [...] but the giving up and walking away part. Especially since there are quite a few yuri stories on the reader where separation is not enough to cause a breakup.

Idk, but I don't think the separation was the exact cause of the breakup. I may be projecting, but I read it as their paths in life being just too different for the relationship to work.

Also:

Long-distance relationships can be hella tough to maintain. My record is three years, and that's with someone I got along with extremely well and was committed to the relationship.

You're a hero, I'd probably not have endured a month.

What 'bout a Delinquent tag?

As always, thanks for the help. I updated everything except for Fate and Batwoman. Batwoman cause I don't know specific series or books that fit in here and Fate partly because of the same reason and partly because I don't know if it should be added to the list if it inevitably ends in disappointment. I'm actually thinking about leaving Alamut out of the list too but I don't wanna make the call because I haven't read it. So yeah, some additional voices about Fate?

OriginalGengar, I think the Fate VNs (Stay Night and Hollow Ataraxia) should definitely stay out (as I mentioned, it's not worth reading for the gay, which is minimal), but Fate/Extra (an RPG game for PSP) may be relevant. You can choose MC's gender and two of the servants which you can choose (Saber and Caster) are both girls and they'll both fall for you (regardless of gender). Romance is not the focus of this game, but at least in this one the girls will not end with a guy.

I like how the Comedy tag left me totally unprepared for the ending.

So refreshing for yuri. Some may not be open to this but I like it!!! Yuri stories is more than unoriginal all-girls school life. There should be choices and different scenarios..it's called diversity. Yuri is far behind in that respect.

I won't say anything about yuri in general since I only have access to the small part that gets translated, but even among these, there are different scenarios, many of which are quite interesting (there is also interesting school life stuff). The same applies even more to the stuff we've recently been getting here (thai, chinese, korean...): it's just too few stuff to make these kind of judgements.

all these chinese yuri (this, their story, lily love) are way better and cuter than 99% of mangas...

Lily Love is thai, tho. And let's remember that Sturgeon's Law probably applies to yuri too.

Of all that stuff, I know only a few things of Tom Waits and XTC. Definitely looking some of these up later, though.

Alternative pop with sweet harmonies, pity the lead singer turned out to be a serial rapist

What.

As a shy person myself, I can really empathize with other people taking too much notice when I don't want to.
Also, you gotta love this author's names xD

Some all-time favorites: Bowie, Portishead, Billie Holiday. Some favorites which I've been listening too much to recently: Warpaint, ZAZ. Other really awesome stuff: Moondog, Chet Baker.
Also, obligatory anime stuff.
And yes, I like too many too different stuff. And these are just a small portion of 'em

On the subject of Fate, in Hollow Ataraxia, Rider is totally gay for Mitsuzuri.

Can you show me an example?

You mean about Rider? To point specific scenes, I'd have to open Hollow Ataraxia (it'd also be very time-consuming, because of the way the scenes are organized), but Rider is usually seen running after Mitsuzuri whenever they're close. Rider is very interested in her (there is also the fact that in Stay Night she was feeding on her blood. Mitsuzuri is usually just very unconfortable 'round Rider (and running away from her). If you've got your goggles with you, I guess you might see some Rin/Sakura, Rin/Saber, Rider/Sakura throughout the series. Regardless, reading Fate (both Stay Night and Hollow Ataraxia) for the gay will be very frustrating.

But don't read any of Fate for the gay

Also, some more stuff to add in novels (this time, ones that I've actually read and can vouch for):
Silhouette of a Sparrow: a YA novel. MC falls in love with a flapper (♥). It's quite the light reading, enjoyable, but don't expect a transcendental experience.
The Red Tree, by Caitlin Kiernan. It's an epistolary horror story, MC is a lesbian.
The Drowned Girl, by the same author. MC is a lesbian. This one is amazing. I actually don't know how to define it; it's kinda like an horror story, but has some surprisingly deep musings on the nature of hauntings.
Sputnik Sweetheart, by Haruki Murakami. Can't believe no one put that here yet. Be aware that, while it has lesbians, the love story isn't kinda the focus of the book.
Manji, by Jun'ichiro Tanizaki. It has a... love square, I guess? Anyways, the narrator has a very dysfunctional relationship with her husband, another woman and the lover of said woman.
Butch Fatale, Dyke Dick (yes, I know), by Christa Faust. I believe the title explains all. I usually don't read genre fiction, but this one was okay, I guess. Give it a try if you like detective fiction.
Girl meets boy (don't be fooled by the title), by Ali Smith. I actually don't remember too much about it, except that it was also a pretty light reading. And that it's gay.

OriginalGengar, many of the movies I recommended are based on existing media, so you may want to add 'em: Lost & Delirious was, according to wikipedia, loosely based on a book named The Wives of Bath; Bye Bye Blondie on a book of the same name, same deal for My Summer of Love. La Vie d'Adèle was a graphic novel before being a movie (I recall some people saying the movie is much better, tho).

Since the list you sent before had the older movie, I think it's safe to add. I've not read the book (yet!), so I can't say for sure about it. I actually hope that the book is gayer. If I get my hands on it, I'll tell more.

Updated everything, I think. If you said something and it's not on the list, then I probably missed it, sorry.

While Foxfire is an excelent movie, I think that the subtext tag may be useful. It's been sometime that I've watched it, but I think if you watch it only for the gay, you may be disappointed. Although I've watched it with goggles and found it to be pretty gay

Maybe you know some of the ones named here or here and can confirm or something?

I've watched some of these! El Niño Pez is relevant (there is a book too, by the same person who directed the movie), so is Mulholland D., Black Swan, A Room in Rome. I've watched Foxfire, but a newer version. It's one of the movies I wanted to recommend. It's really, really good.

I wanted to recommend more, but I don't know if my goggles were just too tight on my face.

More film stuff: Naissance des pieuvres, When night is falling, Fucking Åmål, My summer of love, Passion (the Brian de Palma movie). I also believe the series Warehouse 13 is said to have a lesbian couple, but I haven't watched it (yet).

Alright thanks, then I'm gonna leave them out until someone confirms the subtext.

I think it's safe to add at least 1st and 3rd. I don't remember about the 4th one; 5th is definitely out.
