Maybe, you could write down what was happening there?

in ch26: Seju went to Sumin's house, where she tried to talk to her before Sumin slapped her and pushed her and had the shrank almost falling on them.. she tried to explain, Sumin pushed her again verbally and physically and cut her sentences.

in ch27: Seju visits Sumin at the hospital, apologises and insists on taking responsibility for everything even if Sumin didn't need it, promised to wait until the day she dies, again Sumin rejects everything Seju would say.

I think the first time Seju openly asked for her forgiveness and openly asked to start over again was when Sumin was crying over the breakup with Sungji.

I honestly think she did it 10 years ago in ch 26 (when she held Sumin down) and 27 (at the hospital)

well, in Sungji's defence, she was the one who got cheated on, and was generously offered affection by Dawoon, very very normal for someone who got hurt badly and got affection that Sumin never gave her.. in ch62 look closely at the first and last scene.. all showed a very confused Sungji.
IMO, this confusion is still present and will later come to the surface if you add the additional question that Seju gave her in ch79 Lunch.

I'm not saying Sumin didn't love Sungji, she did love her, just not earnestly.
the reason she wanted to cut all ties with Seju later was because she couldn't trust herself in not falling back to Seju.

about Sungji at that time, I believe those chapters with Dawoon dealt with Sungji's confusions.. so any inconsistency are natural in that case. she was very annoyed by Sumin's little effort to receive forgiveness. you can see this clearly in ch59 (last scene) before she dated Dawoon and in ch 67 (phone call and the king fox scene at the end) after dating Dawoon.
I'm very sure that one of Sungji's reasons for not giving up on Sumin is not wanting to lose for Seju.
Sungji isn't stupid, she knew that Seju pushed them together, and she won't allow Seju to play her once again the way she wants to. thus the famous line came along: "things are not going to end the way you wanted it to, now.. it's different" before picking up the ring.

at the same time, Sungji can't trust Sumin again easily, and still is very hurt. you can see that in ch77 bed talk, and 78 office talk.

I dont agree about the personality part, Nora. Seju is no angel, she's not like Sungji, partly because she grew up without someone who cares and loves her :).

I didn't necessarily mean that her personality is perfect, however it's very intriguing.. I think Sumin herself is also aware of that.

good question, however, they both have two different personalities and their ways of showing love (and obsession as well).. the thing is, Sumin took Seju for granted, never imagines that she would disappear no matter how she treated her (until she actually got assaulted). you have one person who doesn't want to admit they still loved the other.. and another one who is so sure of what they want and are willing to get it back.
I don't know really who loves the other more, they are different.

that false hope participated in making Seju wait and wait forever.. Sumin is aware of that as she tells Sungji in ch77: "it might even be my fault that Seju doesn't have anyone else to rely on"
