I do know enough to play stuff like Dai Gyakuten Saiban, read Urasekai Picnic, Twinstar (Which is quite complex compared to the other things I've read in my opinion), other yuri novels and manga with no issues so it's not going to be that bad

So, I have decided that I'm going to try and translate the novel's first volume and was wondering if anyone knows what would be the best way to share it, like any websites? Or hosts... For now I set up a neocities for when I get it started but it's not like I know enough HTML to make it pleasant to the eyes (I'll try to continue past the basics if I must), nor if they'll take it down because it happens to be against their rules or something.

I can't guarantee that it'll be that good of a translation because I'm not a native english speaker, a beginner when it comes to japanese, never really translated anything this big before and will be doing this all by myself... I also don't really read english books so it'll probably sound weird, but I'm reaching my limit, I want other individuals to enjoy this work, too.
I can at least promise that I'll do my best.

I don't understand why they're being seen as deranged, they're pretty aware that what they're into would be considered weird by the majority. Unhealthy? Yeah, Azuki's attachment to the body of someone that she met and separated from ages ago isn't exactly healthy and only got exacerbated by her being isolated socially and having nobody to talk to about it up until now, but there's nothing "deranged" about being attracted to dolls, plushies or a specific body type...
The "problem" really is only how being obsessed with it could impact her negatively and it makes sense for her to react like that when her space is being invaded by something outer to her world for the first time ever and it's all new to her.
Maybe I'm understanding the use of the word wrong, but it bothered me a bit.

Also, it's cool how the Meguru doll seems to have a little pouch, that's one of the cutest parts in gynoid bodies in my opinion. I'm curious about what is Niji's fetish, I thought it was going to be mommy stuff and/or cheating but I guess not lol.

The following is only present in the novel (first volume, part 4, so for any possible future readers: This is not a huge spoiler but rather a minor thing about Diode herself), in the same scene I mentioned to have been considerably reduced in the manga (chapter 5) Diode tells this to Terra, but I'll be spoiling it just in case it happens to be brought up later in the manga. I don't consider it a major detail, so I think it should be safe for anyone to read if they want to know a little more about the setting!
Diode while trying to flee from her clan did end up getting in trouble with 2 other different clans, one, I think it's supposed to be called "Trays", tried to arrest her because they suspected that she had falsified somehow her hours spent on a ship and she had quite the trouble proving that she didn't falsify it
The other, the Pollux, got her into a health program that aims to improve and watch the health of young girls so that they have better results when it comes to reproduction. They are kept under surveillance for the entire day and have their calories controlled and their bodies tested for any illnesses and such until they are seen fit for breeding. In the words of Diode, "it seems that the Pollux have a great interest in reproduction"

For anyone that's interested, here's the raw text for the scene in question:

(Spoilers regarding the Gendo clan) In the third volume of the novel, they bring up how they have their ability to or not to reproduce heavily controlled, with Diode's clan, the Gendo, being even worse at it. While the Endeavour allow the use of contraceptives to control one's menstruation, the Gendo outright banned those and the people there ended up developing their own black market of contraceptives — and yes, hysterectomies aren't exactly allowed in either and I think it's safe to assume it's the same in other clans when the population number is a concern for all of them.
So, quite similar to our own world.

...And let's not forget that Diode is being pursued.

Sorry for another post right after my own, I like Twinstar Cyclone Runaway.

So now that I'm reading the novel again I wanted to bring up how the events after their first time fishing together, chapter 5, where they stop to talk after being done with fishing got a bit... reduced, I guess? In the manga.
After they finish fishing Diode gets emotional and insecure about whether or not her piloting was good enough, Terra gets unsure about what to say but makes it clear that the fishing went better than all her previous attempts and then she thinks to herself: "Ah, when I look at her like this, it becomes clear that she is putting up a front" and gets all Fufu >w< about it since Diode is younger than her.
However when they dock their pillar boat, Bonus is a bit more sarcastic(?) in the novel and touches a sore spot by acting how it's such a surprise for that haul to be coming from Terra when she is known for her previous failed marriage and fishing attempts. That bothers Diode considerably and after they're done talking with Bonus, she gets upset in Terra's behalf over allowing that to happen and also over not being prepared for the "What's your actual name" trouble and making Terra feel like discarding their catch again for her sake.
「偉ぶって昏魚捨てたのに剤類切れかけて、帰還ギリギリだったのに玄人操縦っぽいふりをして、任せろって言ったのに揉めちゃって、通名出してたのに無様に本名バレて」
　テラを責めている？　違う、自分を責めている。うつむいて肩を震わせ始めた。
「おまけにあのクソ役人に、テラさんのお見合いのこといじられたのに、ろくに言い返せなくて、残念な人みたいな扱いになって。あんなひっ、ひどくて、テラさんに顔向け、できなっ」

And this is after Terra mentions how they always celebrate after a catch (with bad catches having "consolation celebrations")
「今わりとぐしゃぐしゃなんで！　飲み食いどころじゃないです！」
「ですよね」あっさりテラは身を引いて、テンションを落とす。「糸、切れちゃいました？　もう三日目だし」
「糸って」
「気持ちの糸。初日から張り詰めっぱなしでしたよね。──リュックひとつしょって、知らない氏族船に乗り換えて、初めての相手を説得して、ありえない網をひっぱってカリッカリの手動操船で戻ってきて、終わったと思ったらお役人に全部ダメにされるところでしたよね。一個間違えたら人生パーでした。糸がプッツリいっても仕方ないですよ」
　ハンカチが下がってダイオードのぽかんとした顔が現れると、テラは微笑んだ。
「なんでわかるんだって顔ですね？　わかりますよ、私だって知らない船の知らない相手に何度も会いに行きましたから。あれ心細いですよねえ」
　言ってから、でも、と付け加える。
「ダイさんは、まだ十八歳なんですよね。──そこは、私よりすごいです」

The scene that happens after they're done showering got reduced quite a bit, I understand that it's probably hard to show those things through a manga medium and there's a limited amount of pages, but the text does give a lot more attention to how it felt like Diode was running away from Terra as it's pointed out how her hair was wetter compared to Terra's, because she did hurry in the shower, and how that was one of the situations where Terra's height is her "strength" by allowing her to find Diode in a crowd.

その背は本当に細くて震えている。髪が冷たいので、頭から肩の下までゆっくりとくり返し撫でた。昔、そうやって自分が撫でられたことがあるのを思い出す。それを思い出して真似る。
「まあね、ダイさん。いろいろありましたけど、今日は成功でしたよ。魚は獲れたし、事故もケンカもなかったし。逃げなくってもいいです。ね？」
「……ううぐん」
　背中を撫でるうちに、小さな頭が鼻先に来た。頭髪からあの甘い植物性の煙香がする。すい、と脳髄をそちらへ引かれて、何も考えずに肩を抱き寄せた。それに応じてダイオードが安らいだ様子で胸にもたれ、ふーっと深く息を吐く。
　溶けたように互いの重みを支え合う十数秒。──の後に、ダイオードがおずおずと身を離したので、二人の間に空気が入った。
「あ、なんか……すみません、テラさん」
「え、いえ全然」

So yeah, rather than just sitting down and getting straight to the point, first Terra consoles a Diode that's a bit overwhelmed and crying because of the change in environment, messing up with her name, feeling insecure about her piloting and (what she assumes) getting stuck with a girl that makes weird nets lol... They get a little awkward with the sudden closing distance, and then they get to the point, which is that Diode is a ship-jumper and being pursued. I'm just a little sad that we didn't get to see that drawn and it's another of those moments that shows the difference between the two when it comes to how they approach the other. Terra being more willing to approach and be affectionate (And they only knew each other for 3 days then) and Diode like a stray cat but still very affectionate in her own way.
I wonder how Tanaka Ahiru plans on showing those aspects of them and how much of a say Ogawa Issui has on the manga's script itself because I don't think that their core as characters changed much from the first volume of the novel to the third. I think I commented enough about their personalities on my previous post for this to make sense, at least I hope it makes sense.

I don't think the differences between the web novel and the light novel (published version) are that significant. As in, the major events and the sequence of them are largely unchanged. Most of the differences come down to smaller things, like grammar, rearranging when something gets said, phrasing things a bit differently, etc. I consider these to be insignificant changes, but that might not necessarily be the case for you.

Yeah this is the second time they've reacted like that with the exact same argument.
So I think the user is bothered by melanin but don't want to say it outright, so instead they try to make us seem like we're the bad, crazy and racist ones for wanting to see more skin colours when we've said and made it clear multiple times that the problem isn't the character being light skin, but there being no dark skin characters at all despite it being based on regions where people have both light and dark skin in modern times or, at the very least, other traits people would consider "racialized".

Yeah. Seriously, lol... How is wanting to see characters that reflect the people they're based on "ruining it" for the fans? You can't use real living people as your inspiration and expect them not to be bothered when you strip them away of what makes them... them. What juanelric and I are saying is completely sensible and my native relatives are not that light, they're brown and to affirm the opposite is to deny reality.

Well, I personally don't agree with calling others racist over liking characters that by themselves are not the problem, because what we're discussing in this site is the company's design decision of making all of them light skin when it's based on countries where people have a wide range of skin colours, and not what other people like. Unless that's happening off-site, then clearly those are people who are only interested in appearing "good" and nothing else, the watering down of what racism is helps nobody.

It is quite annoying how frequently this happens and it's not a matter of 'righteousness' as some want to make it about but more like "why does nobody take into consideration our reality and always have to make it where everyone is always either white or brown when often it's the two" or at least have a good reason for those people to be lighter/darker skinned only, such as by basing it off specific regions... Which they haven't and this is just another case of colourism.
I like Hachi Itou and OneeLoli in general so idc about it being loli, in fact I'm glad we're getting more on this site no matter the source. I don't mean to be rude but it would be nice if our complaints weren't being seen through twitterlens-of-thought because nobody here is being extreme.

My guess is Erika's role in that was as a witness. She's the last person who saw Aya before disappearing and had some unknown meaningful conversation with her, so she probably knew she was going away and didn't stop her.
