SJ's fangirl? It is a mystery. But in practice that thread seems to have been one of the victims of the reshuffling necessitated by Emperor Xi going full puritan Socialist Realism.

Yeah, Xi is basically positioning himself to be Emperor, and the worst thing is that the Chinese people as an aggregate seem fine with him undoing the laws that were put in place to prevent another situation of a singular Mao-like figure from doing exactly what he's done. I mean, his moral views are now dictating what's acceptable.

But then, to me at least, what sums up the issue with China as whole is this: "An antiquated society with modern money."

And I think this is best represented in the fact that the growing upper and upper-middle class is a key driving force behind the poaching of animals like Rhinos and Tigers- because the horns of the former and the organs of the latter are ingredients in "potions"- or the fact that Chinese entrepreneurs are building water parks and hiring people to capture Orcas for them, even as America and Canada are banning the practice.

I think the only hope that this goes back to being a proper narrative-driven yuri series is if the author is able to find some kind of off-shore proxy to upload her comics to.

She didn't say she was forced, she said she was asked forcefully. As in, with fervor. She's trying to express Mio's enthusiasm to make Kaoru jealous.

I mean, not like it matters, the kiss alone is critical damage, but I don't think she was saying that she feels put-upon by Mio. I mean their entire dynamic is that she is turning to Mio for comfort and affection.

Also, I didn't say this before but when Tsuki chan pointed out that Shizuka never seems flustered flirting even in the most extreme situations with Mio really broke my heart, I guess the signals were there since the start and I didn't notice so I was living the dream with Mio and that was shattered in tiny pieces.

As for the new chapters translated I just want to say ONIBI SENPAI IS THE BEST

To be honest, if I were to give the author any credit, it would be that they're showing the sadly common unfortunate truth of grown-up life, in the depiction of someone (in this case, poor little Mio) discovering that the people we put on a pedestal can fail to live up to our expectation of them.

This author has a lot of kancolle yuri on dandooru of their gorgeous female admiral (some with samurai tattoos).

As far as I'm concerned, there really doesn't have to be anything romantic between Shizuka and the little sister, as the plot thread about the delinquent finally finding someone who won't abandon them is extremely powerful as it is. I mean, her being willing to try to set aside her understandable cynicism and make a friend is compelling stuff!
