Huh. Kinda similar to Summer, Lemon, and Overlay which recently finished, but with that Sakasana twist (and as a oneshot).
I did not expect that relatively upbeat ending, but then again, not going all grimdark does fit Sakasana's MO. I should read In the Gardens of Gehenna some time... That one sure has a set of tags.

Well, this sure has been a fun series. Good place for a hiatus, but I do hope those two dorks come back eventually.

I'm gonna go with "yes" because while the character makes it clear that it's Mr. Cat, paratext (i.e. the title) clearly suggests yuri and I'm fine with that ambiguity.

No idea, haven't watched the recaps. I'd probably just rewatch the season if I wanted to recap.

I was kinda expecting as much, what with two 90 minute recaps popping up on Crunchyroll this week.

The recently posted Pic made me start reading it (mostly the serialization over on Mangadex) and I've now had to realize that the scanlation only covers the first 75 of 188 chapters with the latest being half a year old.
I can't afford commissioning 113 chapters and I neither want to nor know how to use AI to "pseudo-translate" manga.
It's so wholesome though. The kind of fluff I go into like "Yeah, I think I'll read a chapter or two" and then it's suddenly been twenty.

Man, the medical handwaving in manhua is something else. First a quadruple wisdom tooth extraction where the subject doesn't have any apparent swelling or pain by the evening, now this lady apparently just rips off her IV drip and walks out of the hospital?

Still, might follow this one a bit more because I could see it being cute.

Why "arguably"? Even if we discount the confession in literally chapter 1, there's an entire volume set after they unequivocally start dating. Mind you, I think the confession in chapter 1 does count, as it is unambiguous and understood as such (at least by the end of chapter 2). It makes it a story about working out what being in a relationship means to them as well as what they mean to each other instead of yet another "will they, won't they".

But I get and share the frustration. The majority of my favorites do go beyond "becoming a couple" in at least some way, and as fun as a chase can be, it's been so done.

As someone who was super pumped to follow this story because Childhood Friend romance is the most exquisite flavor of romance… yeah this really fumbled. A whole bunch of Kanbayashi Makoto’s YouChika works just got translated, go read that if you want better Childhood Friend yuri. Or any of the dozens of MioxRitsu doujins.

I'd also throw in Our Yuri Started With Me Getting Rejected in a Dream by Hijiki as a better alternative for childhood friend romance. Still ongoing and suffice to say it doesn't end at the confession or a kiss.

What a bland ending. I'm just glad it's over, this really felt like a bowl of sugar. Sweet at first, but gradually more and more painful as you keep eating it. It's left me feeling empty as hell, too.

I sadly kinda have to agree. Long struggle with so many cute and masochistically fun "gotcha" moments and then a rather rushed ending. Still, looking forward to potential extras when the final volume comes out.

I like how this keeps evolving bit by bit.

This has kinda made me realize that my wife and I never call each other by first name and how the idea does feel awkward to us both. 17 years together and I'm not sure I've called or addressed her by name more than ten times.
