I haven’t read anything between chapter 12 and the latest one (chapter 21), but I skimmed through 21, and if anybody’s curious...

Sara dies, Iris goes to her grave and all. The chapter ends with Sara’s letter to Iris, where she has all these bucket list requests for Iris. One of these is for Iris to find a new bride, and the last one is that Sara has some sort of secret that Iris will probably discover next chapter.

this is the shitty ending everyone is expecting anyway so thank you! now i definitly won't lose my time reading this shitty story. thanks a lot deceiving tags. and everybody thanks bitche sensei for this pointless tragedy that could have been AVOIDED! oh and chapter 22 is out if some people are still interested (japanese of course) and it's the very last one. so enjoy.

So I bought volume 3 and thought to share a rough summary (I don’t know Japanese. This is based entirely on my picture interpreting skills, or lack thereof :p): As the comment above mentions, chapter 12 raws have been out online for a while. Iris and Sara are being all cute n gay, having sexy makeout time at school and going on dates. Iris takes Sara to a nice view and gives her a key (to her virginity?)

Now for the juicy shit. Sara finds an old letter along with a picture of Iris and someone who looks just like her. She freaks out, blood drips out of her nose and passes out (in case u forgot, these brides are dyin). Sara wakes up in a hospital, with Iris next to her. Sara’s like, “wtf dude?” Then we get a nice little montage of Iris recalling her past life with Mizuki (the chick who looks like Sara. Could be an ancestor, doppelgänger or Sara in her past life?). Iris and Mizuki were lovers. Their dumb asses got the bright idea to turn Mizuki into a vampire too. She sucks Iris’s blood and starts choking/writhing in agony on the ground. She hands Iris a knife, holds it to her throat and begs Iris to kill her. Poor baby girl Iris is sobbing and forces herself to kill her bae :( Iris wakes up in a hospital, writes a letter (maybe it’s the one that Sara later finds?) then proceeds to stab herself in the neck with a fountain pen.
Back to the present. Iris and Sara are crying their asses off. Sara’s also, like idk, pissed at Iris?
They seem to argue and Sara leaves the room while Iris is sobbing uncontrollably. Sara has a heart to heart convo with Aoi (Sensei’s bride) on the rooftop. Then, as if all this shit going on isn’t enough, the “limitation” takes effect on Iris and Sara. Tbh they just look hella horny. Anyway, Iris finds Sara on the roof, they yell at each other, cry more then make up. Some other shit happens, but it’s worth noting. Despite the way I summarized this volume, it was actually heart wrenching, depressing and much different from the previous 2 volumes. I love this manga, but after “reading” volume 3, it became one of my favorites. Definitely deserves a horror or violence tag.

The most recent chapter (someone said it’s chap 18, but I can’t confirm) is available on the author’s twitter as well as comic walker. Iris and Sara are on a gay lil date when Iris gets a phone call from horny Sensei. Aoi is hospitalized and perhaps on the verge of dying. Sensei, Iris and Sara are devastated. Next scene is Iris and Sara at Iris’s house. Sara is all depressed, thinking about Aoi while Iris is in another room shaking and crying. Iris gets a box cutter and slashes her throat. Sara finds her and is like “wtf are you doing?!” They’re on the floor and Sara hugs Iris as they both cry. That’s it for now folks

i'm really disgusted by toudou's ending! she practicly forced herself to marry a man for money while she is clearly a lesbian and above all she's now pregnant?! worst ending for this character. i was really hoping she would find real happiness not this.... fake wedding and forcing herself to have a kid like this i'm so disgusted! she was GAY! why this horrible ending!

It would be...rather pointless without them.

this WHOLE story IS already pointless! what does that change? by the beginning both kyouko and mitsu wanted to find love. they began with nothing and guess what? ended up with NOTHING because mitsu is gone and kyouko is as lonely as she was at the begining so tell what does that change if that sh*tty yamada and madoka are just out of the story? by the end we have NO progress just a two characters starting with broken hearts and by the end of the story NOTHING changed one is heartbroken in heaven and the other heartbroken in real world. this ending isn't even bittesweet it's just bitter. kyouko's situation NEVER changed except she's now suffering ALONE and she can keep smiling as long as she want we all know it's fake.

well i think that shiori cheated on the mc and got herself pregnant. first she wears more confortable clothes while she used to wear shorts (a little innapropriate for a pregnant woman don't you think?) plus when mc mentionned that she overact about it. why would someone act like this just because her lover said she changed clothes. second: mc also mentioned that her breasts were tighter. do i need to say more? once again shiori's reaction was more than suspicious she was blushing! why? it's your girlfriend it's not like she hasn't told you something similar before! that shouldn't bother you that much unless.... you're hidding something. and finally the last words: "bad liar" and particuliarly "i have to be careful"... about the fact she might discover the truth. that's probably why she's gone. for some reason maybe she was forced to be with some random man (or maybe she did it on her own) got pregnant and then when her pregnancy started to show she decided to leave mc. but please remember that's a theory and there is ABSOLUTLY NO PROOF!

So... you saying prequels and developments are absolutely pointless and no one should ever bother with them?
That's like saying Monsters University is a crappy film that should never have been created simply because it's pure filler and any character development involved in a prequel should be ignored and thrown in the trash. (I would find it insulting if you really thought that about MU)

With that mindset of yours, I'm not sure why you even bother reading/watching stories at all. Not all stories need to end on a high note full of fluff. Down to earth stories like this one, regardless of good or bad end, are much more fulfilling than most people realize.

Besides, whoever said that just because two people decided that they were better off as friends means that a story would automatically turn into a tragic end? And who said that Miwa and Saeko's CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT would not be important for what happens after they break up?

not all prequels are bad yeah! but this one is USELESS!! it's just a waste of time particularly for those who where expecting a sequel of what happen next why botherin g reminding the reader a shitty past when NOTHING matter because of this FAKE relationship seriously? there storie just lead to NOWHERE! so why the author still making us waste time over those two? and it's completly possible to make this developemetn throught little flachbacks in the continuation instead of a long shitty story only to add more content! stop wasting time with those two that's all i ask to this author! "bad end are more fullfilling" SINCE WHEN a manga is suposed to be "fullfilling? it's supposed to be fun to read! you want to feel fulfiled? go get a life instead of searching being fullfiled by manga!

i wonder somehow if the dad really asked touko to take care of akari... what if touko made this decision on her own... i mean it's possible that she knew about akari's loneliness. considering the father is her boss she couldn't ignore the fact he was leaving. so i wonder if she took the opportunity well... maybe to be closer to akari (or whatever hidden reason). the father don't seems to care much about akari judging by how he avoid her glare and akari is really surprised when touko said that the father worried about her... why would someone be surprised by that if the father was a real loving one? it would be normal to think he is worried.but in that case akari is surprised? why? i wonder if the father even knows his daughter well enough he don't even look at her.

i think it's like the mc is in the town. but the town of her memories. so she is stuck in this town when time keep running in the reel town. that's why she can't see hiro because hiro is in the reel town when mc is in the town she had always known. a fake town. but meanwhile hiro is peacefully living her life at page 81 we can see someone driving her and it seems to be in the present. maybee hiro is still in town. a present mc can't see because it's future for her. but time has stoped for her the moment she died. mc can't see her because she isn't dead yet i suppose. so for me in the reel town many years have past and hiro keep moving forward. but i wonder if she isn't haunting hiro's house.... there are some hints...

i was thinking about something really twisted... doesn't momoka love's chiaki because she is number one in everything? so she keep being number two for chiaki to stay number one and keeps loving her because if chiaki wasn't first momoka would lost interest in her?........... otherthinking......
