It's good, but also not good. At least the good part is pretty nice, like clean art and bit more bold and direct protagonists than usual.

That said, we still got the kind of silly "I had no idea I was hella gay despite being a high school student in a girl's school" trope for both of them. It's one thing if someone is closeted, or resisting or traumatized about it. But not having even ounce of a crush and sexual feelings prior to that is some slow development, to say the least.

Perhaps they'll remember something about their past now that it's pretty relevant.

Lady forgot to be careful about what she fishes for.

I'm pretty impressed how Yundou already has a strong character to herself just by showing up in few chapters. She's that polite antagonist that can be hard to pull off convincingly. Hate sinks are fairly easy to make in comparison.

Adult who thinks they've missed their shots at happiness and is now gaslighting people to end same way they did, or maybe not quite aware of what they're doing and acting on jealousy with no clear, achievable end goal in mind.

That was a pretty dark turn of events.

Gaslighting for public hand-holding. Pro moves.

No tangerines for Tilty, just double heaping of dog food.

That silent mutual staring moment in last pages was quite nice. Lot of the time it doesn't really feel like anything in romance manga, because the moment isn't sold to the reader with some preparation like here.

I'm crying for them! Sometimes an interview candidate will do nothing wrong, sometimes a better or perfect candidate just shows up, possibly just with more or better experience. So it's not her fault!

It can be as simple as being a young woman in some cases. Seen as a less likely long-term prospect than a guy.

Delicious drama that is also quite reasonable.

I hope this is a long serial.

The ending is a bit disappointing. Not necessarily the events, but the speed of the events. I wish this part had been elongated by a few chapters. Good manga overall, though.

Fakeout was pretty unnecessary and ended up wasting most of the panels in last chapter. I think more straightforward approach would have been better. No need to be fancy if the whole point is to just deliver a pretty normal romantic ending anyway.

Have to agree with others that this is very much like Bocchi, just more straight to the fingertip.

Worst part of the anime was that it just goes bit too fast in some places, and so some meaningful scenes are either cut or just mentioned as dialogue. They really wanted to condense 3 volumes in 12 episodes. I think they did about as good of a job as was possible under those conditions.

Kase still doesn't see anything wrong with what she's done. She's even making fun of Yamada's reaction... And Fukami should have seen the hickey, but still doesn't reconsider anything and insted moves forward with her confession.

I thought I was reading Yamada to Kase-san, turns out I actually got lost in Kuzu no Honkai.

I'm not sure if this is a confession in the way you're talking about, as much as she's coming out to Kase, combined with an explanation why she's been so off for months.

Remember, Kase already told Fukami she's dating someone in chapter 20 (previously she though Kase had broken up). Same chapter where Fukami finally starts to realize she likes Kase as well, as she was thinking of how many girls seem to be fans of Kase.

I like Else and Yvonne, but the plot is headache-inducing Weirdchester-sauce with reincarnation/isekai/game elements/time travel, so this parody was kind of apt.

So far this is orders of magnitude better than some popular serials that lack true character context/background and characters having actual connection to the society at large as well.

Of course, that will only be the case if it stays that way until the end. Story that is this intense and character-focused is easily ruined by couple of bad chapters.

This one actually has plenty in common with My Dear Lass as well. Another story that is about finding your place, and it being a process that doesn't always go smoothly or old contioned reflexes getting in the way. Some true ambition and a dash of selfishness being required from the characters to get what they want.
