No no no we do not need a new character right now. The two leads are in a difficult situation that would be interesting to see them work through. PLEASE don’t go the Citrus route of introducing characters rather than resolve the plot!

What? You think Yamada had the slightest clue about what that place and the people in it would be like? She wanted to do something with Hana, her new (but unknown to Yamada) equally clueless friend.

She may not have known what kind of party it was, but she knew that Kase didn’t approve. When Kase says “I don’t want you to go” and Yamada says “too bad I’m going” and hangs up on her, I get the feeling that it isn’t about Hana anymore. Wether the party was dangerous or not, all Yamada knew was that Kase didn’t approve, and wanted to prove her wrong.

Again, forgetting that she is awful in social situations.

Kase was overcontrolling, that’s why Yamada went to the mixer in the first place. She thrusted herself into a potentially dangerous situation just so she could say that she survived, forgetting that she’s terrible with these situations. That’s in character. Kase gets worried and comes to protect her. That’s in character. But it isn’t played off like it’s something wonderful, Yamada is visibly disturbed by Kase’s clinginess in this chapter. Then the two come together, reconcile, and Kase realizes that Hana isn’t what she expected and, hopefully, will stick later on so she continues to trust Yamada’s independence more.

All in all, it’s another good chapter that shows that despite the two of them dating for years, they still have problems to work through and it makes for great reading.

How long has she waited to make this decision? I would absolutely laugh hard if she came around and Yuu was like, "sorry, I got over you."

That was one of the last plot points of Girl Friends, funnily enough. Akko got worried that since she took so long to respond, Mari wouldn’t like her anymore.

Love it. I love it to bits. This is one of the first love triangles that I’ve ever really been invested in.

We’ve gotten so much time to know Touko and her conflicting emotions that you want to see her make a choice that’s all her own, ignoring “I want her to be with x, not y”.

And all of these characters are LIKABLE, the plot manages to move forward, constantly changing the status quo, and hasn’t disappointed me yet.

This is a top 3 series of all time.

For some reason it's really funny to me when "localizers" stubbornly insist on needlessly changing the characters' names when "localizing" into English. Oh, did I say funny? I meant angering.

Tell that to Kamesenin Mutenroshi. It’s not like this is a new phenomenon. Localizations are meant to be familiar, if they have established English names, a translation for an English speaking audience should use them.

I don’t ship this but after looking at that cover page, I knew I had to read it.

Octo Expansion made me love them so much.
And while I’m usually not the biggest fan of looking for Yuri in eeeeeeeverything... I got vibes from them. At the very least, a feeling that they need each other.

We’ll have to see where they go with this new character, but I’m afraid that the author is adding on because they’re not sure what to do with the main two from this point on.

It’s still fun, but we don’t need another Inugami x Nekoyama where the side characters became too much.

Alright. I’m willing to give this a chance. Even if it ends up bad, I’ll keep reading, cause I’ve been on this boat since 2013 and I ain’t jumping ship any time soon, but I think there’s real potential here. If Saburouta can:
Upload more frequently
Have Mei and Yuzu push the plot along in a way that isn’t infuriating
Not introduce new characters every arc
Have the characters motivations match their actions

We could get a pretty decent series out of Citrus+

I really love the direction the author is taking this series. We’re really diving into relationship problems, when is it okay to be selfish, when is it not, and even though they’re going out, the two still have different goals and ideas and really push for what they want. All without making one of them obviously in the wrong.

I love it. Can’t wait for more.

We were so blessed and spoiled by the translators so far. The daily updates were nice while they lasted.

I don't believe so... Licensing for publication overseas, maybe. The serious stuff like "Bloom into You", "Kase-San and...", and Canno's work (I forgot the title) all deal with emotions in relationships. This one has way more bawdy comedy, and it will be difficult to pander to the usual demographic watching anime.

Would a manga with lots of fanservice really struggle to gratify the otaku? I don't know about that.

Also, remember how Citrus and NTR were adapted into anime? How about UzaMaid and Watashi ni Tenshi? If anything, the "serious" stuff like Bloom into You getting a full season of anime and Kase-san getting an OVA are exceptions to the rule. The most important factor that matters is the manga's popularity.
