Aww Foxy, gotta say your writing looks so much cleaner when you are not restraining yourself or angry.
The ring of Sumin thrown together with the roses in chap. 10 is the ring thrown by Seju to Sungji in chap. 55. There was an inner inscription that Sungji didn't notice. Thus, her down disposition in chap. 89. :)
Hence, the need to talk as things will be justified and all characters not in wanting.
I give you A+ for imagination.
Short response: I don't believe it, but I cannot disprove it. We will have to wait and see.
Not so short response: This may be too realistic for a manhwa, but if you have ever worn a ring for just one full day, you will know it is extremely hard to mistake another ring with yours. The look, the weight, the texture and size are too unique to miss. But let's say the heat of the moment overshadows this. It has been awhile since the cheating incident, why hasn't Sungji brought it up? Let's say she brushes it aside because she does not want to remember the painful memory. When the moment comes to discuss it, who will she go to? Logically, she will go to Seju, the one who throws her the wrong ring. This won't achieve anything, so Sumin will have to be in the picture. Even you put Sumin, Sungji and Seju together with the ring on the table, will it achieve anything? It will just be like the birthday night with a ring instead of booze.
- For Sungji, she already knows those two have been together since high school. Having some lovely matching ornaments isn't surprising. She even got one before the 6-month mark, probably got matching underwear, too.
- For Sumin, this will trigger another memory, but that's it. She saw Seju unconscious, near death, on the floor, and her decision was the same. Shoving a ring to her face won't change anything. Both girls must leave her for that dumb shit to wake up.
- For Seju, it contradicts with your theory (or was it Nora's? Whatever, let's blame it on her.) that Seju did not plan the getting caught. How convenient that she had all her rings and necklaces at work ready for her flashy pitch when she did not even plan to use them.
Anyway, I think Seju has the original rings. They are the memory she collected and she will live by them.
Seju never peaced out if this peaced out means that she gives up. She may perceived at this moment that Sumin wants Sungji at this point in Sumin"s life but eventually will come back to her even how much time it takes because she knows that their hearts belongs to each other and no one else.
In my post, by "peace out" I meant it with your theory (or was it Nora's? Fuck it, it is her fault. Please forgive her.) that she picked Sungji for Sumin, thus she could leave Sumin in good hand and gracefully peace out.... for good. Why bother giving Sumin a temporary toy when she is more than capable of being Sumin's favorite toy?
