I thought it was implied that Ms. player really did want a monogamous relationship with
MC. She admitted she went out with a friend to make her jealous, which suggests to me that at least some of her promiscuous persona we see is fake.
It's sweet that she became good friends with Komaki's little brother. It helps the story to have other relationship dynamics besides the absurd Komaki-Hishikawa one.
I think the repeated image of the girl blushing while having her hand held, along with the tone of the rest of the story, is main text, not subtext, earning the yuri tag.
Even though the relationship didn't work out, I can't help but hope they'll try it again one day. Stranger things have happened than a relationship sticking better the second time around.
They've honestly lost me on this one. I get the tsundere concept but at this point she's just punching her girlfriend in the face for no reason at all.
On the subject of whether the relationship in this story is being depicted positively or not, I'd say no, but with a caveat. The author is presenting an obviously disgusting and awful thing, but leaving open the question of whether there's some beauty to be found in it too despite the awfulness. It's a theme that Gen Urobochi explores a lot in his works.
Curious as to what the "sag" effect could be referring to...
It's both of their bodies sagging to the floor in exhaustion as we see on the next page.
Well it's still sad and messed up but at least there was a grain of consent this time. Kousaka is probably in pain too, but she still needs to be locked up.
