Mochida's thoughts on page 99 really bug me, since there's not really any indication that Kaori is particularly pining after Takagi in that scene, or even so far in that chapter. It's very much a "tell without showing" moment that really doesn't work for me. The rest of the chapter ticks along just fine and I like it, but that moment is definitely a low point for me.

I think she just knows her that well, besides she knew that Kaori had feelings for Takagi since the start

at least she's not yandere like in Happy Sugar Life

I think subtext is a ok description. While the other girls are falling for her, as far as I can tell, all she is doing so far is looking for a friend and is a clueless natural flirt. Funny, Ive seen this type before, just cannot recall from where.

All I can think of is a certain gigolette.

As for this story, I'm of the mind that it crossed the line from subtext to text. The main character simply suffers from a lack of reading comprehension.

Actually, doesn't Kuro (the black-haired girl) do sports, while Shiro (the fair-haired one) do the science stuff? The POV of the narration in his manga is slightly confusing. Shiro says she enjoys being able to do sports, but is then invited to the stage as an honor for a science report she had submitted.

I think black hair girl does science-- white hair girl does sports, she jus had some random report for stage of honor

It means because Kuro gave Shiro her heart, she can do sports and enjoys it now, but Shiro still does science and Kuro still does sports
