See, this is exactly what I was afraid of, @Nevri! T^T

Don't worry about it, really. I dunno why I even read it, lol. I was reading the thread and just absently moused over it and read it without even so much as a single thought. Normally if I see spoilers I'm far more careful about reading them so it's definitely on me and nobody else.

Also, !!! Actual spoiler !!! Maiko is Hinako's ex-girlfriend.

Oh no, I read the spoiler. I'm actually a lot better than that normally but this time I ended up managing to accidentally read it without even intending to, lol. Not that the spoiler is actually a surprise anyways. (Also clearly not your fault either.)

I never understood what the difference is. I just noticed one day that some mangas show up in recently added when they are not showing on main page at the same time, and since then I just always check recently added as well to make sure I don't miss anything. Problem solved.

The part that kept throwing me off is that I kept seeing chapters in the recently added list that I was certain I'd seen on the front page itself too. Still not actually sure if I was just imagining that since I never bothered double checking, lol.

Then you're on your fucking own lmao, if it's too hard for you maybe you don't need to read those releases. If you don't want to take that extra step, then don't. Don't read the next chapters, miss them.
With all those tenths of seconds saved, I wonder how many more things you'll have time to do, such wondrous potential. What a satisfying, fulfilling life you would lead if Dynasty's front page was more efficiently organized

No need to be rude about it. I agree that it's not that big a deal to have one more click but the vast majority of internet users tend not to be very thorough about stuff like that. They go for least effort. Also while, again, it's not a big deal it is actually a valid criticism to complain about the way things are ordered. It's a bit odd. It took me months before I finally figured out what the difference between the main entries on the front page and the entries on the "recently added" list in the upper right actually were.

Well, in Girlfriends, the "rivals" were boys. It was more realistic.

Beside Mari and Akko, none of the other girls were attracted to girls.

I disagree. Just because the other girls preferred guys doesn't mean the rivals are suddenly guys. It's a yuri manga so unless one or both girls are bisexual then there's nothing to suggest any rivals would be guys. The one guy even remotely presented as such in Girl friends was really just Mari trying to force her attraction to Akko to no longer be a concern. The guy in question really wasn't even relevant during all of this. In the entire manga I actually really wouldn't call anybody at all a rival to begin with honestly.

E: Totally unrelated but my desktop wallpaper just cycled over to a Girl Friends one. Out of over 3000 wallpapers I only have like 2-3 that are from Girl Friends so that's kinda weirdly coincidental timing, lol.

It's a lot less angsty than Girlfriends. I doubt it'll be as long.

And males are conspicuously absent from the setting, so no rivals in sight.

Girls can be rivals.

You would think in a yuri manga girls would kinda be the natural choice for rivals anyways, lol.

As usual, why talk things out when you can have an outburst then sulk for weeks ? XD

Well they're kinda both teenage girls so that's kinda par for the course. Teenagers aren't exactly well known for going about things logically and rationally rather than emotionally and for completely understandable reasons. They're kinda flooded with hormones that make emotional outbursts a lot more likely than doing things the right way.

Nevri posted:

Simply going on a date when you are already with someone is cheating. It doesn't matter if there was contact or not. What matters are intention.

I would disagree, at least partly. Intent does matter but your specific actions matter just as much. That's why someone can be held responsible for the death of another person even though they honestly didn't intend for that person to die. But they'll get a lesser charge than murder since their intent does actually matter.

It's obviously cheating

I'd agree but there's a wide range of opinions on what exactly constitutes cheating. For my ex-stepmother apparently going out and blowing random guys was somehow not cheating.

PaleRider posted:

Did she have sex with the teacher or kiss her? No. It ain't cheating case closed.

Case not closed. Quite a lot of people would consider that cheating. Unless it was some completely innocent contact such as the person earlier suggested with a lingerie shop then it's completely up in the air and depends on the views of both people involved. (Or really just the one with the more strict view of what constitutes cheating because they're very unlikely to ever change that view so unless no compromise is made the relationship is likely to end.) Oddly enough, contrary to what you've implied here, people have a wide variety of opinions on subjective subjects.

The question is: can it be implemented on human and the other mammals in the future? I don't know but I hope so.

The even better question is: What would happen if you did this on a woman and used the subsequent sperm to fertilize some of her own eggs?

I wonder if there's some sort of biological mechanism in place that would prevent that from succeeding.

There's a difference between finding it wrong and finding it gross. You don't have to personally enjoy something to have no actual issues with it. Most of your examples are things I find gross but that doesn't mean I have any issues with them past the personal distaste I have when I accidentally stumble across them.

I'm kinda confused about chapter 7, it seemed like Kina was insinuating that there was a girl in the past that Kanana fell for but didn't like Kana, and that Shirayuki was gonna be this girl, but instead Kanana just remembers the teacher lady? Did I just assume wrong?

The teacher was implied to be the person Kina was talking about.

Here's my take on it. In Japanese, "shinigami" literally means "god of death" and it is often translated as "death himself/herself/itself" as in death personified. An appropriate moniker for an assassin, no?

The "Alice" part...

It could potentially be inspired by something like the Shin Megami Tensei series of games where the Alice persona is always of the death arcana. And typically one of the most powerful, usually the only one which gets the most powerful death type attack as well.

I also blame the security service, because apparently the killer was already being watched by the FBI. This happened in Brussels, too. Both times, the security services dropped the ball hard and people sadly died in the result.

The issue here is that they suspected the idiot who did this but legally had no ground upon which to act. You can't just have law enforcement going around apprehending people who they think might do something bad without arresting a crap load of innocent people in the process. It really sucks that this sort of thing happens but law enforcement can't really be blamed here.
