oh god please not battle of the bands, I have flashbacks from whispering you a love song now

Maybe the real curse is just how madly folks fall in love with the women of Evris' bloodline.

I feel like that's too clever for this author to come up with, no offense :P I'm enjoying this but the plot and general writing is all over the place. Lillian symbolizes this best, completely nonsensical character, I don't understand why would she do any of the things she's doing in this lmao

all volumes are translated to "Bluer than Love," im gonna take a wild guess and assume that friendship is what the title is referring to.

I would not put too much stock into English titles given by Japanese authors, they're very often Google Translate-tier nonsense :P I can't answer to you whether any explicit romance will ever happen in this series, but undertones are very clear, I don't think there is any point to digging into the title.

I still don't get what exactly was the reason it took 10 days before that guy could show up, that explanation made little sense to me :P I guess he didn't get a chance to say what exactly is that compensation he arranged but I somehow doubt it was this time-intensive

Was this the last chapter?

I would assume not, since there is a tease about the literature club poster at the end (Sakura put it up at the end of chapter 20)

I fully expected Banryuu's Yakuza connections to come in handy, but Mochi apparently thought (probably correctly) a teacher with big tits is better for the job

Well this was extremely on the nose, which is probably why it worked so well

also this series really puts into focus how insanely short these long-strip chapters tend to be. 2 chapters and we're still on the inciting incident. maybe its comparing apples to oranges but i feel like a traditional comic format would have this scene done withih like 4 pages and have 20-30 left in the chapter still.

It's basically a webcomic but vertical :P I think treating them as such makes sense as far as setting your expectations too, so far I've been disappointed by these more often than not.

I'm slightly fascinated by how the discussion focused on some kind of accident reconstruction and magic safety regulations. Magic doesn't kill people, I do!

I thought this was pretty well done as a comedy series, and introducing Kujou did actually make it funnier so I would call it a success on that front, but looking through the lens of pure yuri I understand how it is a bit disappointing :P I liked it a lot, it was simple humour done extremely well, it even managed to do some character development for Yaya (she's no longer a crybaby in a hell of her own making by the end). Nothing groundbreaking but very competent.

I also don't think it would feel right to end it here with a relationship out of nowhere or whatever, maybe if it was allowed to run for longer it could feel more natural. Contrast that with that other series that's about to end where relationship is almost certain but it was fumbled so badly no one gives a shit anymore lmao

I'm half convinced now that the director wanted a repeat of that power of love scene solely because the first take wasn't shit enough for the B-movie, judging by the reaction of the audience :P

But in general, I'm really impressed how this manga pulled off some actual character development from such a nonsense premise like this stupid movie. Actually genius lmao

XDDDDDD one of the better chapters yet, this manga is at its best when it leans fully into nonsense like that

Well the obvious problem with this is, how is that any different from that ski trip, she was already determined to do the same thing :P I think that's the biggest problem with the whole manga in a nutshell, it's kinda repetitive and really likes to spin in circles doing more or less the same thing, like some kind of cartoon where villain always loses at the end of the episode and in the next one barely anything changed. I enjoyed a lot of it regardless but it could have been way better.

Hmm this developed in a more quiet and less dramatic way than expected from last chapter

Honestly, good :P I will admit that this sick mother thing felt like a bit of cheap drama thrown in to the conflict, but by this point I should have more trust in the author, it all feels really well done.

× imagine this forum was built on Software that knows about the 30 year old technology called "Unicode", then insert a shrug emoji here

Looking at the rest of the internet, I'm kinda glad it doesn't :P

Also, let me introduce you to something even older:
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

(I had to double-slash the left arm though)

Sumie may be catching feelings, but I'm not totally sure if that's a smile on the last page. To me her lips look more compressed, which in this context suggests she wants to say something but pushes it down. I'd also assume the thought of falling for Manatsu would make her anxious, since her reasoning for the time limit was to "end it before things get complicated".

It does very much look like "oh no, I love her"

Can't believe they finally gave Kujou a small win

Ending this kind of story with a random phone notification at the end is certainly a choice :P I'm guessing it was meant to imply it's Mio coming back (what else would even make sense in the story?), but it looks it could just as well be a pizza delivery notification. I think I'd like it better if it ended just at Nacchan staring into the distance or something

As nice as it was, I can't help but feel that it was also a bit of a copout :P

I will not argue that this story was well planned out or well executed or anything, but I was more upset in earlier chapters when things were just straight up boring :P They should have skipped 90% of the parts before revealing Yuzu's point of view, there would be more time with tormenting the readers with this kind of stuff which I still think is funny (if kinda clumsily executed), I think this was the biggest salty wall of text I've seen so far on these forums lmao

... I will say, I don't understand why people have this concept of someone not deserving to be in a relationship just because they didn't follow the correct song and dance in order to reach it :P There is absolutely zero indication that Minami gives a shit about Kamiya romantically, there is plenty of evidence she still feels that way about Yuzu.

Minami literally confessed

I'm sorry but no, it was extremely heavily implied but not literal :P It's fine in normal situations but people easily forget that nothing about this was normal, according to these two they're best friends who kiss each other on the cheek and sleep with each other (no homo). Anything other than the literal "I love you, please be my girlfriend" doesn't cut it in this situation and I think Minami should've known that. I don't necessarily think this was well executed, but I think it was somewhat logically consistent with how Yuzu behaved up until this point.

XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

I can't be mad at this top tier trolling. How would even Santa fit you in his bag? I dunno Yuzu, you seem pretty fucking small to me, I think you'd fit easily!
